I have family members who have abused the welfare system.  There is the one cousin who had fake nails put on while there was no food in the pantry for her 4 (yes, FOUR) small children.  She is a highschool dropout and married another one.  These two had no business having 4 children because they could not support them.  Then, there is her sister who was widowed at 18 with a small child.  She remarried four years later but continued to get SS for herself (and her son, but that' s legal).  She defrauded the government for several years until they divorced and her ex turned her in.  I think welfare has it's place, but I get really furious when I hear how able bodied lazy @$$e$ take from the system which was intended to be a temporary relief, not a way of life.  This is a hot topic for me! 

Lindsy may be the best of this group, but honestly that doesn't take much to achieve.  I also disagree that she was SHOCKED that Tommy could be or is involved.  She may not have expected it, but it didn't shock her, IMO.  She knows who her husband is, he's been showing her for years.

i got a question and i'm only half being a smart a$$ but....
if you are on foodstamps like a huge chunk of the country and not just trailer trash laid of hard workers etc... and you have a house guest or you host thanksgiving for a select few of you fam and friends are you trying to tell me you would tell them to bring their own food or that you would charge them for the meal and cut a check to uncle sam?
you wouldn't do either of those so i guess you would be defrauding the government or if your kids shares their lunch at school should someone report you? no
like i said i don't really believe any of that article but i didn't take it to mean she was stocking his house full of food...
our founding fathers granted us life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and foodstamps provide help to people that need it... we give it to the aliens so i think lindsay can have those rights as well... just saying

Well, since you asked    I would not host a dinner if I relied on government assistance to do so.  I know that my family and friends wouldn't want me to take food from my children to feed them.  If one of my relatives who is on welfare invited me to dinner I wouldn't have to be asked to bring food, I'd just tell them what I was bringing.

I'm not against welfare, I'm against abuse of the program.  I think Lindsy has a family that cares for her and can help her.  I hope she betters herself and doesn't just bring another "Tommy" home.

There is no doubt in my mind Lindsy is not shocked about the info, unless she was so shocked she decided to party on down

If MC did put in the letter that it was the wrong dock that LE had searched, how does she know that?

Did not Tommy take LE to the dock prior to MC being escorted there, or do I have that wrong, or did AH have it wrong?

And then there is Chelsea that said she was asking for an area off Hwy 309 to be searched.

I wonder if these people were too drugged up to remember exactly what happened that night. But I can't buy that because although MC looked like she had been rode hard and put away wet, she just did not appear to be that drugged out here

i don't believe 95% of that bs article but if it is true that her son is in counseling it prob has more to do with what his "dad" did then if he saw a black guy in mommy's bed

I am wondering if maybe Lindsy knew this guy before Haleigh went missing and THIS is the black guy Jr. saw that night.  Just thinking out loud here. I think Lindsy and Chelsea and Timmy  know a whole lot more than they are letting on and I wouldn't be surprised if Lindsy isn't acting out like this because she knows her days of freedom may me numbered too.

Lindsy may be a step above the Croslins, but only one itty bitty step.  She is just as trashy as they are.  Any woman that gets a piercing while her husband is in jail is trash in my book.
I hope DCF takes a long hard look at her.  IMO

From what I could understand, seems that Tommy supposedly took LE out to that dock first... (like on Sunday?)  Then on Monday, supposedly Misty took LE out to the same dock. 

Also seems to me that 'if' it was the 'wrong dock' that Misty would have either noticed that while she was standing out there....... or took LE to the 'right dock' in the first place.  Once standing at that dock, looking down into the water, seems that Misty would have said.. 'oh wait a minute, it wasn't here, it was up a ways... or down a ways'.  Had this 'really' happened to me, the location would have been burned into my mind, dark night or otherwise.  Of course, that's a mind not addled with drugs tho, which could be the main problem with Misty 'not being able to remember a dayum thing'. 

My question at this point is:
Did LE take Tommy and then Misty 'to' that dock... or did Tommy and then Misty, seperately and independently of each other, take LE 'to' that dock??  Who led who?

Sorry for this being a bit O/T.  But I want to clarify something regarding public assistance or known as welfare.

Years ago my sister had a neighbor who's hubby had worked hard for years...raising a family as well.  They had put a considerable amount of funds into savings.  Disaster struck with illness and they had to use every penny saved.  Which then brought them up to the public assistance program temporarily until a recovery.

During this assistance time, my sister and her neighbors would each spend $5.00 a week and purchase an item to give to the neighbor ...maybe bag of flour, sugar, potatoes, etc....  Which was more than appreciated by her neighbor.

The blast came when the welfare lady paid her a visit a few days before the checks came out.  Asked if she got hers first ...NO why do you ask that. Well, I noticed all of the groceries by the door.  The lady explained that her neighbors were all helping them out and each sent over extra items weekly.  The public assistance lady asked her ..DID YOU REPORT THIS TO THE WELFARE OFFICE???  aHHH...  NO!!!  I did not was the response ... well, she calculated the value of the items and sent it to welfare, and they ...DEDUCTED THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY FROM HER CHECK. 

Replying as to the comment about having a family dinner and inviting guests.  I am sure that they would ...not appreciate the sharing of family food.  And if you bring your own, well you get the picture how they feel about that.

I'm sure it was just an example and not well thought out but....

I am not a catholic and got married in Las Vegas yet I believe my marriage is just as legal and binding as someone who got married in the catholic church.  Actually one of my best friends in high school got pregnant (oops) so they had a shotgun catholic wedding that lasted about 1 month.

I believe what Lindsey is doing is wrong and just another example why Haleigh never had a chance with ANY of these people.

You hit the nail right on the head, Klaas! Haleigh was a victim from the day she was born in that environment! JMO!

BTW: I got married in a church, by an ordained minister. It should have happened in Vegas; at a big craps table.   

O/T -- I got married in a bar on New Year's Day 32 years ago.  It isn't the ceremony or the setting, it is the commitment that the two people have to each other once the "I do's" are said. 

The Croslin/Cummings have no commitment to anyone but themselves.  They are the "me, me" types that would take whatever they could from anyone they could to get whatever they feel that they are entitled to. 

Children of these sperm and egg donors don't have children, they produce unwanted liabilities.  And they do so for all the wrong reasons.

Poor Haleigh, Caylee and all the others that I could list.  They truly never had a chance.

Sure makes one begin to wonder just what is going on with communication .... how is some of this .. double stuff ... same from Misty and Tommy ... same dock location ...same conversation spoken to Gr Hollars.....just who is  passing on info to the other.  If they are both SO ACCURATE...why has it taken BOTH OF THEM ...over ONE YEAR ..TO RCALL THESE INCIDENTS AND PLACES.  I can see maybe one of them ...not remembering, but it sure doesn't appear to be this way at all.   Someone is  passing  info .... IMO.

I agree, Grama!  Wonder how many phone calls we haven't heard about yet.  Either that, or info was exchanged and stories gotten straight - as in plan a, b, and c - before the drug arrests.

Thanks Brandi, ironically just saw this online.    The U.S. is now spending more on food assistance than at any time in its history, sparking a debate over whether the roughly 40 million people now receiving the latest version of food stamps at a cost of $73 billion a year are a symptom of a weak economy or are part of a long-term expansion in welfare and related programs.
