President Obama at Hampton University commencement: "As you probably know, Dr. Height passed away the other week at the age of 98. Having been on the firing line for every fight from lynching to desegregation to the battle for health care reform, she lived a singular life. But she started out just like you, understanding that to make something of herself, she needed a college degree."

Are millions of Americans, Chinese, Indians, and Mexicans 'nothing' because they have no college degree?

How many millions of these folks have jobs that support them?  Jobs they obtained without a college education?

How many on Wall Street, at big banks, in big government, and climate change organizations in Washington have fancy degrees?  Multiple degrees?

Is the nation better off?  More prosperous?

Or, does education seem to go hand in hand with bigger taxpayer ripoffs?

What happens to those who cannot find a job in Obama's over-educated economy?  Where are the busboy jobs?  Maid jobs?

“It is therefore not surprising why most high school students just stop schooling after graduation and start working. Unfortunately, there are also no available jobs so most of us end up unemployed, or engage in anti-social activities like drugs and prostitution,” she said.

Many Filipino youth had to work at an early age to help augment the family income, sacrificing their education in the process. Worse, a lot of these working children have not even entered school.

Results of the 2002 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS) showed that the total number of out-of-school Filipino youth were 14.7 percent or 4.84 million out of 32.96 million population aged 6 to 24 years.

Mark Ferdinand Rosello, 17, is one of the many out-of school youth in the country. The youngest among four children, he wanted to take up Fine Arts to become a painter. However, he had to stop studying after his father died in 1999. He was only in his first year in high school.

He ended up doing silkscreen painting to earn a living. He was also among the street children along Quezon Avenue who sold newspapers or rags to motorists.

Rosello admitted that he is envious of batch mates who will be graduating this year. Like him, many Filipino children and youth had to stop studying and work to earn a living.

IIRC, according to Nancy, it's cheaper to treat drug abuse than to close the border.  Why not give folks a job so they have something to occupy their time?

'Idle hands are the devil's workshop'

Will American's ever escape Obama's taxes to pay for education, healthcare, and other massive spending and debt service?  Will America be in perpetual bondage to debt and unable to free herself?  Obama's special slavery?

How is Obama managing unemployment among the educated today?  Where are American's supposed to go to find a job?

Kabataang Makabayan urges the new graduates to serve the people

Kabataang Makabayan-Southern Mindanao, an underground revolutionary movement of patriotic youth, salutes all the college graduates and their families in the region for passing bourgeois education after bearing the burden of exorbitant tuition fees and other expenditures over the last nearly two decades.

At this moment, the graduates and their parents are filled with hopes and joy with the belief that honeyed lives await them. But the Filipino youth’s journey has just begun. While some will have jobs, majority of the graduates will reel from the problem of massive unemployment in the country. Those who can find jobs mostly end up in jobs mismatched with their degrees. Many of the graduates are left with the options either of having jobs in business process outsourcing (BPO) industries or having to go abroad to become overseas workers — two options offered by the US-Arroyo government to keep our economy afloat.

Quote
Most of the graduates are also forced to go abroad and leave their loved ones and families. They ready themselves to whatever conditions await them in a foreign land.

The high unemployment rate in our country is to be blamed no less than to the US- Arroyo government’s lack of concrete sustainable economic programs that will create our own industries and provide us sustainable jobs.

Obama doesn't seem to have plans for sustainable industries and sustainable jobs.  Just a few crumbs - 'green jobs' and billions sent to foreign nations to create jobs in China, Brazil, and elsewhere.

No jobs for Americans.

Americans get stuck with horrible debt created by exporting Wall Streets financial weapons of mass destruction.

No jobs for Americans, no prosperity, just perpetual debt, taxes, and inflation.
