Woman's body found in trash container in NE Houston

Police are investigating a body found outside a business this afternoon in northeast Houston.

According to initial reports, a body believed to be that of a woman was discovered about 3 p.m. in a trash container at ABC Restaurant Equipment on Laura Koppe near Weedy, authorities said.

Police have cordoned off the area, which is just west of the Eastex Freeway. HPD homicide detectives and crime scene officers are at the scene.

The identity of the body wasn't known, officers at the scene said.

No further information was immediately available.

HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found in a north Houston dumpster.

The body was inside a red dumpster in the 3300 block of Laura Koppe behind a restaurant supply company.

The victim's body will be transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy and identification.
