"But the challenges we face -- underscored by the immense tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico -- are reason to redouble our efforts to reform our nation's energy policies." - Barack Obama

Why isn't Mr. Obama concerned with the human tragedy faced by people in Arizona?

The Federal government has for decades, failed to secure the border or the American Dream.

Every dime Mr. Obama spends, ends someone's dream in America.

Should government work to keep Americans safe?  Does the 'safety net' just apply to oil?  Will there be trade sanctions for nations that continue to drill offshore?  Those in the Gulf perhaps?

If American's aren't supposed to 'dump' in the ocean, does that apply to folks from Brazil?

If it's good for the goose, should it be good for the gander?

Welfare states only work when everyone contributes.  You can't have a welfare state with open borders - look at the European and Chinese examples.

Where is Mr. Obama's enthusiasm for securing the borders?  The human and economic damage from millions of illegal aliens that flood the border on an annual basis?
