Linden Police Looking For Missing Woman
Monday, May 17, 2010

LINDEN – Police are searching for a 26-year-old Linden woman who’s been missing since last week.

Taliah Nelson of Chandler Avenue was reported missing by her grandmother since May 11. Nelson’s 1990 Chevrolet Geo was found in Manhattan on May 13, according to authorities.


Nelson is taking medication for an undisclosed emotional ailment, authorities said. Her medication was found inside her car.

Nelson is 5’5”, 135 lbs. She was last seen wearing a burgundy blouse, gray pants and gray sneakers. She wears her hair in braids or corn rows.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Det. Eddie Adams at 1-908-474-8536 or email crimetips@police.lindenes-nj.org.

Family, police looking for missing Linden woman

 Police are asking for the public’s help to find a Linden woman who has been missing for about a week.

Taliah Nelson, 26, of Chandler Avenue in Linden, was reported missing by her grandmother on May 11, and on May 13 her 1990 Chevrolet Geo was found in Manhattan, police said.

“It’s a mystery. We don’t know whether the car was stolen or abandoned there,” said Detective Lt. James Sarnicki.

Police in New York alerted Linden police when they found the car with a broken window and her medications inside.

“According to the grandmother she becomes disoriented,
” Sarnicki said. “The grandmother said she does attend church in New York, but doesn’t know the church, doesn’t know the name, doesn’t know the phone number.”

Nelson is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a burgundy blouse and gray pants and sneakers. She wears her hair in braids or corn rows.

LINDEN, N.J. (WPIX) - Police are seeking the public's help in their search for a woman who has been missing for a week.

Taliah Nelson of Linden, New Jersey was reported missing by her grandmother on May 11.

Her 1990 Chevrolet Geo was found in Manhattan on May 13th by the NYPD with a broken window and Nelson's medications inside the vehicle.

According to Detective Lt. James Sarnicki, "It's a mystery. We don't know whether the car was stolen or abandoned there."

Taliah can become disoriented according to her grandmother. She says Nelson attends church in New York, but does not know the name and location of that church.

Nelson is 5-feet and 5-inches tall, and weighs about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a burgundy blouse with gray pants and sneakers. Her hair is braided in corn rows.
