If George didn't molest Casey, and really I have no idea either way, I can certainly understand George's hurt and anger, and him saying why destroy Caylee also. That makes sense to me, now I just hope nothing else George says makes sense to me.

I don't think they were religious but I do think they attended on occasion. They seem to have become quite religous after the fact.

Thinking this morning that the worst accusation a person could make against a family member is molestation.  I think Casey has threatened Cindy with going public with that before when she's been angry (hence the July-Aug. jail convo "Don't worry, Mom. I didn't tell them anything.).  I'm guessing that Cindy starring in the Cindy-show with that farce of a memorial (her producing it, her national acting and singing debut) and then blatantly overriding Casey by cremating Caylee pushed Casey over the edge of Family Loyalty.  All bets are off and so are the gloves.  Casey came out swinging with the jail letters (methodically planned, IMO).  If I were Cindy, George, and Lee, I'd shut up and seriously lawyer up.  It's going to get ugly as this family implodes.

The thought that went through my mind this morning is Casey has put Cindy at an impasse.  IMO, the molestation allegations are Casey's ultimate loyalty litmus test for Cindy.  Who will Cindy choose?  Basically, to prove her love and loyalty, Cindy will need to throw George and maybe even Lee under the bus.  If Cindy did, in fact, help with the decomp/home/car cleanup and destroying/hiding evidence, Casey will use it against her to save herself.  Therein, lies the danger to Cindy. Casey has basically put them on notice.

Cindy (judging from her letters referencing Jeanine-the Mitigation Specialist) was under the impression that Jeanine was building a history to help get Casey off or get a reduced sentence.  It appears that Cindy/George were advised to cooperate with Jeanine under the guise assisting Casey's defense to free Casey.  I'm not convinced that Cindy & George are willing to sacrifice themselves for Casey though.  I'm wondering if that was one of the 2 questions George was asked.  Logic tells me the 2 questions were:  "George, did you molest Casey?" and "Did Lee molest Casey?".  Or #2 may have been "George, did you molest Caylee?' . I am not saying George did either, so no rumor-mongering please.  I am saying that I wouldn't put it past Casey to accuse that either (or threaten to accuse to keep George towing the line).  In the past, Cindy & George have sacrificed their character, reputations,finances, and privacy for Casey.  Not sure if Casey expects them go along with the I-was-so-abused-I-did-it-to-save-Caylee defense and take the fall to save her life or if Casey's using this as a divide and conquer tactic to cut George out (as he is the most damaging= Grand Jury testimony).  George is the weakest link.  While he is willing to lie some, aid and abet some, he has some limits (the LE interview where he got physically sick, the Gonzales depos where he became irrational when he mistakenly thought they were asking him to describe the last time he saw Caylee).  George is not as "seasoned" of a liar as Cindy or Casey and tends to become more emotional (which is a good thing for him-there's hope yet).  Either way, Cindy's at an impasse.  The defense is clearly building a victim strategy and using Cindy & George's own words (interviews and letters) against them.  Just because Lee's been flying under the radar doesn't mean he hasn't been cooperating with the defense also (for his sake, I hope not).  Casey upped the ante with her accusations, knowing full well she'd already told certain friends about the alleged abuse, her ace in the hole.  It's easy to see why George is reeling.  While Cindy did say in the interview that the accusations hurt George, she is still in court and he is not.  Casey is succeeding in her divide and conquer strategy.  Is it the fight that Cindy's so desperate to hide?  Or is it the power struggle that draws Cindy to court?  Yet another example of Cindy forcing herself on Casey?  Sort of a "I will be here to say I love you whether you want me to or not...because I want to." mentality.  It's the hook that snags Cindy.  She really needs to stay home and out of the media, seriously lawyer up, and cut ties to Casey.  Otherwise, Casey will destroy them the same way she destroyed Caylee.  The Anthonys need to just come clean on the whole thing, for Caylee's sake #1 and theirs.  This heat they're feeling and the pressure they're under from Casey, may backfire on her and instead call their bluff and force their hand.  If they ever want to be free, they need to just their monster off at the knees.  All my own opinion.

I agree with you here as well as on the abuse allegations and letter GA wrote. An allegation of sexual abuse would tarnish Caylee's image and render her damaged goods in GA's mind IMO. Those people are all about image, no love, no care, just IMAGE.

Good morning, Monkeys.  Here's my opinion on whether or not the Anthonys were religious before Caylee was murdered by her mother.  I think the Anthonys went to church on occasion.  However, IMO, going to church does not make one religious.  The way Cindy behaved toward her family is the antithesis of religious.  She ordered them around, held discretions over their heads, and apparently even went so far as to try to throttle Casey on that last night.  She enabled Casey and George in their aberrant lifestyles.  George is apparently a womanizer, a gambling addict, and an all-round disgusting person.  Casey has no morals at all.

Many people profess to be religious, to "Love God" to "Love Jesus" when they have no concept of the meaning of a Christian life.  Certainly Casey's stealing from everyone, even her elderly grandparents and friends, and Cindy saying "Well, it was just once," covering for her criminal behaviour, is not what a Christian is directed to do.  While we must help each other, the bible, IMO, doesn mean to help each other in criminal activity.

Much of the time, in fact most of the time, when a person is incarcerated for a serious crime, i.e. murder, they become  "Religious."  There was a case near where I live where a group of Goths kidnapped a Jehovah's Witness family who were passing out literature--a father, a mother, and two very small children.  They took them to a secluded place and shot them and ran over them with the kidnapped family's van.  The little boy, around two at the time, lived, but is paralysed for life.  They were caught near the Texas border, brought back to the small town where they would be tried and LE had some trouble preventing their lynching when they were brought in. In court, the murderers, the ringleader of which was a young woman, carried bibles and claimed to have "Found God." It didn't work.  They pled guilty and were sentenced to life, IMO a plea deal.  My state does have the death penalty. 

The Anthonys are IMO using Christianity to try to impress others with their goodness.  Casey, too, thinks it might work.  Evil people do it all the time.  Only God, however, can see into their hearts, but IMO they are phoney-boloneys.

I don't think they were religious but I do think they attended on occasion. They seem to have become quite religous after the fact.

I do not think Cindy is religious even now.  It is just another way for her to be in control.  She now says God wants this and God wants that.  How does she know what God wants?  I think it is a very dangerous thing when we start speaking for God.

I have only seen agreement with you here on the posts where Casey tells Cindy not to worry, she hasn't told them anything.  So you agree with all of the posts I have read.

I have always thought she was telling Cindy that she did not confess, and don't worry, I am not that stupid, you don't have to control everything I do.  I can think for myself.

It burns my butt when people pretend to be something they are not, and it gives a bad name to those who really are.  The same goes for those who fake any kind of crime...being kidnapped, raped, and molested come to mind.  It hurts the people who are truly victims and puts doubt in the minds of those who need to be focused in finding the victim.

Reading the thoughts from Cindy's head is truly frightening.  I cannot imagine what it was like to grow up in that household under her control.  Very scary indeed, it makes my hair stand up.

Write to a child who may have cancer or to a child or an adult who are in a third world country.  Donate to a worthy cause, there are many of them, not to someone's extras.  Casey is given three meals a day, donate the money to a child who may get three meals in a month.
