Ooooohhh, I just saw the video of Joran being "displayed" and him's not happy. He's a one man parade and they have a trophy. Joran looks like reality has begun to sink in.

My bet is that what he's feeling just might hold a candle to what Beth felt while she was in Aruba pounding the streets searching for Natalee. Panic, pain, desperation, anxiety........... no, on second thought, Joran has a long way to go before he can even approach what he put her through, much less what he put Natalee through.

I'm not surprised ...... she still has a lot of gossip to catch up on Facebook.

Joran is facing at least a couple years in a Peruvian prison before his case even goes to trial.  Anita is his only hope of obtaining legal representation and basic living necessities for the next couple years.  She needs to bring him money.  Without money, he's facing a living hell and may not survive it.

And if she gives the pampered boy money he will really be a target in prison.

It's hard to tell if she is drugged or just very tired as she's been up all night.  She may not be happy about having to go to this guy's room to get her money (or whatever reason he gave her), and she looks like she is just following him to get the job done and leave.  If they were friendlier or continuing to party, I think they would be walking side by side, smiling, chatting with each other.  Even at the room, he doesn't turn to look at her or escort her inside as he would if he were with a friend.  Their behavior looks more like two people going to a business meeting than two friends who are partying together.

I have a terrible feeling that joran is going to make a deal to serve his time in the Netherlands in exchange for telling where Natalee's remains are.....and I think Stephany's father is going to approve the deal.....his compassion for Natalee's family is enormous.....and to be honest I am not sure how I feel about this....but I am leaning towards the deal (if there is one).....Dave and Beth deserve to be able to bring anything left of Natalee home.

You might be right. (Consolation - he would still be in jail until the trial is over.) HOWEVER - I think a CONDITION should be that identifiable REMAINS ARE FOUND FIRST - without dragging the ocean. (Sorry for caps. But we know how he lies.) Thus, if they really dumped her at sea, no Dutch soup for VDS.

Hammer is so right about the continuous run of the camera, but I suspect that's the case. The powers that be probably just decided that what they released was enough for public curiosity.

Bloody clothes - OK, if he had nothing with him when he was apprehended, I guess this must mean that they figured out where he had stayed. Can't believe he was still carrying them. I suspect that this might be a media overbite.

2 Cups of Coffee

CCB writes: I think he was trying to formulate a theory where the purchase of 2 coffees would establish she was alive at the time and that something must have happened after he left...

Exactly.  The diabolical genius of van der Sloot at work.

Just a thought: I drink 3 cups of coffee before 9:00am, everyday, myself.  So what does the purchase of 2 cups of coffee prove?  Absolutely nothing.

.

You're right. It establishes nothing, but Papa Sloot wasn't there with all his resources to make a body disappear, so Joran was left to his own pathetic efforts.

There are many puzzling things:

Where are shots of going for coffee and coming back?  What did he have with him and what was he wearing?

Notice what looks like a watch on Joran's left wrist--thought he didn't need a watch 'cause he always knew what time it is.

Jewelry was mentioned, couldn't see enough of Stephanie to tell.

Stephanie walks like someone slightly woozy and concentrating on the floor (where she is going.)  The only odd movement was as she reached the narrowed part of the reception area.  She reached slightly downward and toward front as tho' holding something from being banged or caught on her right.

I think she looks drugged, too.

I did notice her looking down the entire time. It's hard for me to tell if she looks drunk or drugged.... she's deffinatly wearing earrings.

Her family will be able to tell if she's walking normally.  The earrings are easy to see, but can't see what is in her right hand.

What was she wearing when they found her, the same outfit?

Good afternoon everyone.

This is from the "Recepcionista cuenta como encontro cadaver"

http://www.rpp.com.pe/2010-06-03-recepcionista-cuenta-como-encontro-cadaver-de-stephany-flores-noticia_269820.html

En tanto, la División de Homicidios ha mandado a analizar la raqueta encontrada en la habitación, que sería el arma de ataque.

Yes, they are saying again RAQUET and not BAT.  Not sure if it makes that much difference though except traveling with a RAQUET would make more sense than traveling with a BAT

There is always a reason for the release of evidence and, even more so, for not releasing particular evidence.  Unlike some US states, an open justice system is very new in Peru, but it appears that the authorities are releasing enough evidence to show they have their man but not too much as to tip their hand.

What i meant was that by releasing this video they suggest to the public that they went in the room together, he left the room alone and the girl was found dead. Conclusion he did it.
If they dont (and i hope they do) have footage of that camera running every second from the moment they entered the room and the girl was found without any other person entering that room, the released images could be seen as merely influencing public opinion and be used to the opposite effect by the defence.

Sunny? It's early, but I wouldn't worry too much about Peru turning Joran over to the Netherlands, for any reason. They seem far too pleased to have him to turn him loose.

Reports say she was fully clothed, so I would assume that means yes.

I think one of the only emotions he is capable of feeling is Anger.

I'm not sure he is capable of normal emotions.  He is a monster!

Like Aruba/The Netherlands -- Peru does not have a "jury" system. You go before a 3 judge panel. The "court of public opinion" really has no bearing. You can't "taint" the jury pool.

I would think the video is a continuous loop.  I agree that the release of the video is to show the public the obvious evidence that they entered the room together and only he left.  I'm curious about the foffee video as I like to observe body language and think this would be telling.  The autopsy results will tell if she is impaired.
