Klaas, this article just infuriates me.  How in the world would anyone use Renfo as a source?  The worlds biggest slut becomes a reliable source?  Unreal.

Yeah, I already posted it.  The NYPost has always been Aruba/JoeT friendly and I'm sure therefore Renfro friendly.

Thanks, Klassend; it's a nice place to be.  Congratulations for managing a site with so much character for so long.

Other than Red starting SM - with Tom way back when, klaas has been the best thing that ever happened.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/06/05/peru.murder.case/index.html?hpt=T2

Flores' body was badly beaten and investigators believe a tennis racquet in the room was used in the killing, Carlos Gonzalo, spokesman for Peru's Interior Ministry, told CNN. Despite reports that a baseball bat was the murder weapon, Gonzalo said there was not a baseball bat in the room.

Good Morning Monks, thanks carpe... I just couldn't fathom him traveling with a baseball bat.....a tennis raquet, sure!  I think a lot of what we think we know, we don't really know because of the translation differences

The Dutch Consulate is now involved in the case and has volunteered a defense attorney for van der Sloot, according to Carlos Neyra, a spokesman for the Peruvian Investigative Police.

Blonde,

Thank you for that comparison.  I'm not sure what photo posted recently made me think of a resemblance between the two.....with the forum locking me out so often, I just forgot about it until now, and honestly do not have the photo skills you and others have.

Tibro,

My only post last night was about a reporter noting Joran as Persona Non Grata in at least 6 countries.  Interesting that Australia rejected him and rightfully so.

Good to see all of the members posting again.....We always said we were not going anywhere....We're here for Natalee and her family.....sadly have to add Stephany and her family.  May Justice be served!

ya know, I HATE to be so cynical, but it's part of my nature.

This is crap. Offering a defense - who didn't see that coming like a freight train. Let him pay for his own lawyers. He' a bigshot with poker winnings, travel accounts, and the jet-set playboy life.

Funny all the money miraculously dried up.

this has nothing to do with "offering counsel" - nothing at all. Mark my words.

AND here IT comes.

Change of venue motions, let's move him to a secure location in Holland and have the trial at the Hague, he is never gonna get a fair trial with you barbarians running the show. yada yada yada, blah blah blah ...

and with that - they make it perfectly clear that they were behind all the crap that Natalee's family faced for five f'ing long years. Sorry dutchies, you deserve better than this and you should not be footing the bill for any of this non-sense.

Uggghhhhh...

Hi ya Sunny! lol

Love it that the monkeys flock back when there's action.
It was just a matter of time until this kid acted out again. One of the articles says that he was well known for stalking women at bars and casinos by the local police... but until anyone commits a crime there's nothing that can be done.

What a big black mark on the Aruba LE for letting this scum be free. What a big black mark on corrupt politicians which is all too common in the Carribbean.

There are others like Joran out there.

Joran wants a Peruvian attorney and says he wasn't arrested in Chile but turned himself in:

Van der Sloot would Peruvian lawyer

Released:    June 6, 2010 4:31 p.m.
Last edited:    June 6, 2010 4:31 p.m.

LIMA - Joran van der Sloot, who was charged with the Peruvian Stephany Flores to the murder, a Peruvian lawyer will be assigned and no Dutchman.

During his interview on Saturday he would not answer the questions of the police about the death of Flores.
The reason was that he was very tired from the journey of the Chilean-Peruvian border to the Peruvian capital Lima. Writes that the Peruvian newspaper Perú21.

The paper said he never stated to be held in Chile, but he has surrendered to the police there because he knew he was wanted.

Van der Sloot came Saturday in the Peruvian capital Lima and was in the office of the police investigation Dirincri shown to the press. In the afternoon hearing began.
