Any article about Natalee's family's "mistakes" while on Aruba, that FAILS to mention this, is crap:

NO SEARCH OF THE CARS (especially), and houses, laptops, cells, etc. for 10 days.

Sometimes it's what wasn't done that's the most damning.

So it looks like all the stuff Joran had left behind in the hotel room he claimed he couldn't remember, the one in Chile was found.  GOOD. 

They have his laptop too!

Klaas or anybody, is this verified?  If so, game so totally over and he is toast!

Yesterday the Dutch were only going to provide Joran with healthcare and maybe 30 euros a month.  Today, it's an attorney?

Which is it?  Any of our Dutch posters able to nail this down?

Also, I don't even like the healthcare part.  They will try to say he is mentally ill and should be extradited so they can get him into posh surroundings!  I hope Peru will NOT allow even healthcare.

The other prisoners will take his euros so not worried about that.

The 30 euros a month is what every Dutch person in a Peruvian gets from the Dutch embassy. They also gave him a list of Peruvian attorneys (like the UK-document previously posted also mentions). That is just standard procedure.

Anna, it is on the attached video...very interesting.

I know Sunny but yesterday there were articles saying only healthcare so I am not convinced they will provide an attorney.  Seems a bit odd if they do.  But I sure don't want them giving healthcare and saying the alien is mentally ill, etc. 

If they do, I hope Peru says "Tough!" and doesn't allow any special deals.  I fear the special deals right now.

The link that AZLady provided yesterday that showed the British Embassy, and the handbook they give to new arrested British citizens in Peru, also listed that they would provide a list of attorneys that the citizens could contact, but they would not provide an attorney for them.   If the NL provides an international attorney for Joran, they are in my mind, interferring with the case.  There should be some sanctions against this. Do they do that for all Dutch people arrested?  Heck no!

thanks Jo, this is the first time I have seen this.  So, some of the information we have heard is entirely false.....he had his backpack and his computer.......sure didn't see any indication of bloody clothing.  So did he in fact turn himself in as someone said earlier?

NOOOOO, Sunny don't get confused.

He was detained in Chile because the Taxi driver recognized him.  When detained, on the way back they asked him where his stuff was, he said it was at a hotel but he couldn't remember where.  When he was on the run he stayed one night in an unknown hotel.

IMO, they found his stuff at the hotel and that is what we are seeing.   We are seeing Joran identify that it's his stuff, count the money etc before they put it into police evidence.

thanks for clarifying Klaas....there is so much info and conflicting info I admit I am confused as to what is truth and what is something changed or assumed in the translations.....so glad you can keep it straight!

BTW, the Dutch embassy does NOT provide health care.
The correct translation is "30 euros a month to be able to buy basics like toiletries.

OK, I just heard from a Dutch citizen directly that the Dutch government will always supply an attorney for a Dutch citizen even in a foreign country and 30 euros a month for toiletries and such.

So they will be providing an attorney for him should he want them to do so and being broke, I guess he will.

But the do it for all their citizens so it's not just for Joran.

it has started...I am telling you...it's started......the DEAL!!!    I will be more than happy to say I was wrong if I am...but for now I am sticking with the groundwork is being laid for a deal!!
