I am shocked that Tim Miller is asking for donations for the ocean search without any discussion of what would be different this time to prevent the US authorities being shut out from any of the findings.

I really am shocked.  I still think his heart is in the right place, but he should be better tuned in to his donors than that.

Sorry Nut - mine started playing when the window opened and I was 10 minutes late.

I had to turn it off before it even ended.  It was not giving me any new news and the chat was completely asinine, imo.

     Many have commented that they believe Joran lured the Peruvian girl into his hotel room with every intention of committing murder.  That wouldn't seem to make much sense, though.  Had he intended to commit murder all along, he would have been far better off to have done the deed anywhere BUT his room.  It would be predictably difficult if not impossible to afterward remove the girl's body unnoticed.  What then?  If he couldn't remove and dispose of the body, it would eventually be discovered and traced to him.  That's why Joran fled the jurisdiction shortly after she died.  It's a desperate move and he couldn't possibly have wanted that outcome, which makes me believe that the victim's death was an unforeseen result of the crime. 
     Rather, I suspect that Joran's intention was probably rape and/or robbery.  First, the drug Rohypnol was reportedly found in the girl's car, abandoned at some distance from the hotel -- consistent with a drug-assisted sexual assault.  Second, the girl had reportedly won a considerable amount of money at the casino where she encountered Joran, making her an especially attractive target for a man, like Joran, in dire need of cash.  He could have his way with her AND be so much the richer for having done so. 
     Given that Joran was amid unfamiliar surroundings in a foreign country, he probably considered his hotel room to be the safest place for the assault.  After finishing with her, he probably thought he would simply walk the girl back out to her car and drive away to abandon her at a safe distance.  When the drugs wore off, she'd probably awaken not knowing what happened, or at least being sufficiently confused so as to be a poor witness in any judicial proceeding.  In any case, Joran probably wasn't planning on remaining in Peru long enough afterward for the authorities there to catch up with him. 
     Things, however, didn't go according to plan.  My guess is that the girl probably wasn't as incapacitated as Joran expected/hoped, and that she resisted the ensuing assault.  In response, Joran probably either struck her with an object or struck her against an object, inflicting the head trauma that was the official cause of death.  After confirming that she was, in fact, dead, he immediately embarked upon his flight attempt after arranging with hotel management for his room to remain sealed -- and the body undiscovered -- for as long as possible.  Natalee's death probably occurred in similar fashion.  She probably died either resisting a sexual assault or as the result of a combination of Rohypnol and alcohol intoxication.  In Aruba, though, Joran had detailed local knowledge and help from accomplices.  Both crimes fit the same pattern of criminality as well as their respective, unique circumstances.

Thanks all...I'll listen to Dana, I know how to do that, lol. KLAAS.......Do you want to wait until after Dana to switch threads, or do it as normal. I am all set up to do it when it's time...hopefully I won't get booted out while in transit. Let me know if you want it to be held off till' after Dana.

Dave Holloway brought up an interesting thought.....Peru hotels have American news channels on their TV's.

The media were showing shows of Natalie's 5 years anniversary of disappearing/murder approx. 8am.
Joran went for coffee at 8:15am.

The TV was on in his room according to the clerk Could Stephany have seen one of these shows, and realized Joran was THE Joran accused of killing Natalie and sparked a rage in him?

Dave Holloway had an interesting theory. Joran leaves to get the 2 coffees. American Media begins showing anniversary of Natalee's death videos as early as 8am and Stephany sees this. Joran returns and a confrontration.
