Rubén Blades recognized Joran Van der Sloot in Atlantic City casino
The Panamanian singer could identify the Dutchman abroad because they heard the case of the murder of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

The famous Panamanian singer Ruben Blades saw the alleged murderer of Sptehanny Flores, Dutchman Van der Sloot in the Atlantic City casino in Miraflores, hours before he allegedly committed the crime.

Blades TV recounted in Peru that recognized abroad because they saw on the news of the murder case of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

The singer added that the Dutchman was talking with a friend so vulgar about "looking for girls", a goal that failed to realize, as revealed.

"I knew the reputation of this man over the death of the girl in Aruba, and I told the security that he was a murderer, but they continued as if nothing," he added.

I thought Bernie's response to Greta regarding the amount of time Joran would have done in the US for the extortion/fraud charge was a significant point - he related six years since it seems it's relational to the amount of $$$ involved as well.

Six years is not a long time.........I have to wonder if the FBI was pondering how to strengthen the case further......

Greta is irritating me.  I find it hard to believe this all falls on the FBI's lap.  I have to believe Aruba told the FBI "no worries , we'll keep an eye on Joran".

Found it interesting that Mark Furman didn't mention anything about a BAT.

the island.  They didn't want all of this brought back to light on their piece of property.

Holloway keeps close eye on news

MERIDIAN — Dave Holloway has learned to take a wait and see stance whenever it comes to any new information pertaining to the disappearance of his daughter, Natalee, or the man he is convinced killed her.

Thursday Holloway was keeping a close eye on developments regarding the search and subsequent arrest by Chilean authorities of Joran van der Sloot who was wanted in connection with the death of 21-year-old Stephany Flores, found dead Sunday in a hotel room in Lima, Peru. Joran van der Sloot, 22, was in Peru for a poker tournament and according to reports, is seen in a Lima casino video with Flores.

"I'm watching these developments as they continue to unfold," said Holloway from his Meridian home. "I'm confident the Peruvian authorities won't bungle up this investigation like it was when Natalee became missing. The authorities in Peru were well connected to Natalee's case and I seriously doubt they will make the same mistakes as did the officials in Aruba."

This recent killing happened exactly five years after the May 30, 2005, disappearance of Holloway during a high school trip in Aruba, a Dutch Caribbean island where van der Sloot's late father was a prominent judge.

Prosecutors there said van der Sloot is still their main suspect in the case even though he was never charged.

Holloway said he is 100 percent sure van der Sloot is responsible for his daughter's death and added van der Sloot's conviction in this latest incident would be some measure of vindication and justice for his daughter.

"I think he may be finally stopped," Holloway said of van der Sloot. "I'm convinced he killed Natalee and even though he probably won't be convicted of her death, at least he will be in prison for a long time, in a tough prison system such as those in Peru."

Having been in the same situation as the Flores family, Holloway extended his condolences.

"I hope the family can overcome this tragedy in their lives," Holloway said.

The mystery of Holloway's disappearance garnered wide attention on television and in newspapers in Europe and the United States.

ANITA WORST MOTHER OF THE YEAR

She KNEW all along..............she KNEW he was evil, as was his father and did nothing. I blame her more than even them because she allowed those girls and others(I believe) to be murdered.

She took him to shrinks for brutally beating a dog to death as a kid and God only knows what else he did we don't even know as a kid. I am just glad they don't have a crazy penalty in Peru - you either did the crime and get the time or you didn't.

He did the crime, and I can't think of a better place to spend his time.

But haven't we all seen how you must always get Aruba's permission for everything?  Did Aruba stall on a technicality???  Their laws, you know.
