Joran stole the money from Stephany.  Jaap said Joran was calling him from Peru in dire financial straits.  Joran had no money before he killed his latest victim. 

I don't think he actually got the money in the sting.  I know Bo Dietl said he got $10K in cash but something is very wrong here.  Why was Horan so broke in Peru if he actually got all this money?  What happened to it so quickly? 

Maybe he already had gambing debts and had to pay them pronto in Aruba?  Is that why he was so desperate about money?

I wish Greta would get off this song and dance of blaming others and the FBI.  I can understand their waiting to check out Joran's information before arresting him.  Maybe he would eventually tell the truth to get the rest of the money then he could be arrested for murder instead of extortion.

I am so sad, today I went to my facebook and one of my friends is Stephany' cousin and they are asking justice for her an Nataly. I see that more people know about nataly's case ...yo can tell they are so angry

Could you please convey our sympathies, sorrow and anger of Stephany's death to her cousin. There are hundreds of us here at SM, and many more, our families, friends, neighbors and co-workers that feel the same way.
Also, please please please tell her cousin to tell Stephanie's family to never trust those in aruba. If they need any info go to Natalee's family and US officials or here. We can help them. But never trust or work with those in aruba. They are more devious then anyone can imagine.

I will. They didnt know too much about Nataly but the media and the news only talk about stephany and nataly...now they know who is that monster!!

Thank you Cecilita. Just so they know jurin is just the tip of the iceburg. There were many, many people in aruba and NL that protected jurin and covered up the crimes against Natalee. There was so much evidence that dissapeared, there were interrigation statements made by the police that were changed, the list goes on.

Yep....our older son, about 10 years ago tried to lighten his hair.  He'd been blonde as a kid but gradually got darker.  Anyway, his bleach job ended up reddish orange...not too different from Joran's attempt....when they were looking for Joran, I kept wondering if he'd shaved his head or dyed his hair...I couldn't think of anything else possible....LOL......if only I could have 'bet' on it....Jackpot of sorts.

Thanks for posting that Klaas. If you take away the "interpretation" from Greta and the legal panel, and listen just to the facts Bo is telling, it sounds to me that Aruba could have held Joran on suspicion for 30 days based upon the videotape that was made.

I can't help it, I'm suspicious of the Attorney General in Aruba. My instinct tells me he's bracing for blame and is eager to deflect any that might come Aruba's way to the FBI. I don't think we've heard all there is to know about this.
