Joran van der Sloot arrived in Lima on May 14, but a week before he was in Bogota, Colombia, where he went to casinos and surrounded himself with women, some of which have disappeared and are wanted by the police.

"During his stay abroad he stayed in two hotels in Bogotá", published a local newspaper, which tells us that there are several girls who are as non-gotten.


On the other hand, in the next few hours come to Lima, Anita van der Sloot, Joran's mother, from Aruba. On Sunday she spoke with her son, who assured him: "I have not been. I am being accused. I am innocent."

Police: Dutchman confesses to killing Peru woman

LIMA, Peru — Peruvian police say the Dutchman Joran van der Sloot has confessed to killing a young woman in his Lima hotel room last week.

Police Colonel Abel Gamarra told The Associated Press early Tuesday that van der Sloot confessed during an interrogation.

Van der Sloot was also the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of an American teenager on the Caribbean island of Aruba.

LIMA, Peru (AP) — Police in Peru say the Dutchman Joran van der Sloot has confessed to killing a young woman in his Lima hotel room last week.

Police Colonel Abel Gamarra told The Associated Press early Friday that van der Sloot confessed during an interrogation.

Van der Sloot was also the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of an American teenager on the Caribbean island of Aruba.

Yes, she is blaming Beth because according to Glenda, Joran would not have had the money to go to Peru if it hadn't been for the $$ he got from the sting. 

Nonsense.  There was a BIG poker tournament and he wanted to attend.  He could have just killed somebody in Aruba to get the money.  Maybe even her.

You know the truth, I know the truth, but Aruba's main spokesperson for the last five years, JULIA RENFRO, wants you to believe that it was the fault of Beth Holloway that this (second) murder occurred:

She is Julia Renfro, the talking head you see in virtually all television reports and many media reports about Natalee dating back to 2005.

She's repeatedly bashed Beth publically, most recently blaming her for the botched (corrrupt?) investigation on Aruba in the NY POST a few days ago, and has posted hundreds, if not thousands, of posts making horrible statemtns (or cheering them on) on another message board.

I don't know what her goal is, but hopefully Aruba will (finally) figure out that her words aren't doing the island any good. She's a horrilbe and twisted person...

Amoretti: Van der Sloot would seek to reduce his sentence to less than 20 years

The criminal lawyer said that the Netherlands would be charged with manslaughter rather than qualified to say who killed the young Stephany Flores product of a discussion.

The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot (23) would be looking to reduce his sentence by stating that killed Stephany Flores (21), then that she discovered her laptop and revise the dark past of the subject, noted criminal lawyer Mario Amoretti.

He considered that the strategy would be to seek an indictment young for manslaughter rather than murder, as would a sentence of between six and twenty years would be reduced further benefit from the sincere confession.

"This is what is best suited (..) and he looked for a phone, and looked for a reason why he killed her, so this would be a simple murder. When it was said that he had attacked to facilitate a robbery we had a death resulting aggravated robbery and that he could correspond to life imprisonment. If it was a murder he could fall up to 35 years of pain, "he said.

However, Amoretti said it is the task of the National Police to investigate and determine, through its Division of High Tech Crime, if Van der Sloot's computer was manipulated by Stephany when he points out.

"In the Police Department is a high technology and that the troops led by the prosecution verify if the computer was actually manipulated the time that the murder occurred, ie the time that he went to drink coffee" he said.

"But also, you should establish what happened to the money she won at the casino. Why the wallet appeared without money, why was the truck. There are a number of vital clues to figure out to not only stay version of it, "added Amoretti

Why did this confession come so quickly?

Peruvian interrogations must be very . . . . persuasive.

Why don't I believe this?  If true, then perhaps the Peruvians were very...persuasive.
Reminds me of my favorite Western, Once Upon a Time in the West.  Charles Bronson (Harmonica) tells Henry Fonda (Frank) that he will tell him who he is at the point of dying. 
I would not be at all surprised at the next relevation.  Hope Peruvians are video taping everything.  Should be under their 'open' system.  Until I see it, I don't believe it.

Thankfully Stephany's family has been afforded a measure of closure. The swift action taken by Peruvian law enforcement on behalf of the victim has implies that tourism will not be negatively affected.

If only justice for Natalee Holloway had been Aruba's focus five years ago ...
