OMG! Wonder if he confessed about Natalee, too.
Do you guys think this is true? Didn't take him long to crack without Daddy helping him.

snoopy - thank you for the info regarding Peaches' father-in-law.  Prayers to her family.

Thank you monkeys for all the articles, discussions  and sticking with this and keping it alive for the last 5 years.

TM - thank you for keeping Natalee in our hearts every night

CBB - thank you for that wonderful picture of Natalee and Stephany

Klaasend - thank you for your over-the-top efforts and countless hours in both the Natalee forum, front page, and other missing person pages.  You are amazing.

He admitted to the crime stating she was using his computer about being involved in NH's death.

Who here buys that as the reason why he killed her?

I mean almost every one would recognize him and would figure that he was the suspect in Natalee's disappearance and death.

What really must have been on his laptop? There must have been damning stuff like trafficking and much more than merely references to NH.

I wonder if the confession to an act of rage was made because if it was shown to be murder after robbery, the latter holds the death penalty or life sentence???

Also, does anyone have the larger version of this photo:

One thing I give the Peruvians - think about how transparent they have been with video footage all along.  I think there is more to come..
i would love to see the video when he left the hotel for coffe. He must wear the clothes he wore when he got in to the hotel with stepany

Exactly!  If they obtained the footage of then entering and him leaving, I am sure that will come out as well.

The video when the monster goes for coffe , has been released? because if stephany was alive he will have the same clothes than he wore when he got in to the hotel. White shirt.

No, I don't think that one has been released yet.

He didn't really need a reason.  He did it because that is what he does when he is alone with a woman in a hotel room.  That's what he does . . . laptop or no.  Natural born killer.

My understanding is that striped shirt he was wearing when he left the hotel for the last time, is the clothing that had specks of blood on it.

This is amazing news,

for some reason dont show that video. I believe that he must changed his clothes before to go coffe because he killed her before the coffe bs. if he still wearing his white shirt I will believe that he killed her after the coffe like he said

Not surprised he is trying to link the crime with the computer he had. I posted last night there could be some linkage, he used it to lure her to his room or something like that.

Now I am hearing he is using the computer to try and mitigate the crime. I also think he is trying to get convicted on the Aruba crime, or link the two murders so as to serve a sentence there instead of in Peru. This without confessing truthfully to either one.

The confession he has put forth in Peru is self serving, incomplete and likely inaccurate.

He may try to stay high profile as a self preservation tactic. I think it is only chance to stay alive.

My question is this: Will Joran Van Der Sloot again receive special treatment from a justice system? Will he be kept safe from the general prison population in ways an unknown criminal would not?

I think it was just a cold calculation. They have him for murder, probably robbery too and the 'crime of passion/rage' most likely has a lesser sentence than murder/robbery.

I agree about bringing Natalee home. I'm a believer that it's not a coincidence that the only person to be charged with Premeditated Murder was the first to be called up.

Joran's being prepared for his departure.

Van der straaten next.

Then they can watch Natalee's funeral and wonder...
