Good morning everyone (it's morning where I am anyway).  Could the news regarding Natalee's remains be true?  What's the latest?

We don't know yet.  There is something in Diario but pap is too hard to translate.

CNN is reporting that they are receiving news that Joran is not happy with what took place last night , the lawyer present was not the one of his choice, he felt coerced etc...yada yada yada.

I have not seen any of this in the Peru press yet.

CNN just had another lawyer on that said whether Joran was happy or not about the confession, a lawyer for him was there practicing legally in Peru and it may stand regardless of how he feels about it now.

If so, why did she go to his room, knowing that he might be a potential killer?

What we heard is that her cousin was talking to a friend about Joran and the Natalee murder.  It has not been discussed that she knew anything about him or Natalee.

ARUBA-The remains of American Natalee Holloway, who was murdered in 2005 by Dutchman Joran van der Sloot, who also killed the Peruvian Stephany Flores, have been found in the last hours, information held in reserve by the authorities of this island of the Lesser Antilles.

Not specified whether this finding was achieved through the reports that had the murderer in his lap top and Steohany discovered why it would have been killed.

The confessed murderer of the young Peruvian Stephany Flores, daughter of the businessman and racer Ricardo Flores, apparently has a history very similar to that of the missing American Natalee Holloway.

The two youths had an unfortunate encounter with the Netherlands citizen Joran van der Sloot in a casino.

On May 30, 2005, Holloway disappeared in Aruba but until now has found its whereabouts, in a case that shocked the American public and was taken to the movies.

"The Natalee Holloway Story" (2009) is the title of the film. The story revolves around during the graduation trip to Aruba, a crazy night with friends becomes a tragic story.

The native of Alabama teen disappears without a trace, your holiday become a nightmare for his family.

She was last seen by her classmates outside "Carlos' n Charlie" s ", a Caribbean chain restaurant and nightclub in Oranjestad, in a car with Joran Van Der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe . When questioned, the three men said that they left their hotel and denied knowing the whereabouts of Holloway.

In one video, Joran Van Der Sloot revealed that, under the influence of marijuana, got rid of the body of Holloway. Also, note that the night of May 29, 2005, Natalee met him at a casino in Aruba.

According to Van Der Sloot, the boy suddenly began to shake and then no longer react. He tried all means to return itself, but was unsuccessful.

Justice for Stephany and Natalie

I can't go back too far in the pages, I continue to be bounced out of SM.
Just wondering did anyone catch last night on NG the list(notes) on the side bar when she had the body diagram up?  The body diagram marking Stephany's injuries.

It said that she was found wearing a black shirt, beige shirt and was wearing red panties (( with a sanitary napkin with blood residue)) due to the questions if she had consensual sex with Joran or if he had raped her. I think that the "pad" could be tested. ( my opinion I don't believe any of this was sexually motivated, too much money to be had for him from her)

Wondering with if she had left any other used sanitary napkins in the trash can in the bathroom - it would be able to establish a time line of her being alive in the room. He certainly would not be the one to place her pads in the trash can.
Just thoughts. If I was already posted - sorry I can't go back into the pages, not even in lurk mode. I get bounced out of sm.

Me too.  Although I'ma  little confused about this "going to his room to pay money he lost to her" theory.  In any Poker Tournament, there is a buy-in to play.  The winnings are already paid by each player who enters the tourney...so any money he would have lost to her would have already been collected by the Casino at the point of registration.  He would have no reason to retrievemoney he lost to her in his room...

I think she was drugged, and was tricked into going into his room so he could sexually assualt her. That doesn't even make sense in my theory though.  She wa found in her underwear and t-shirt, correct?  Maybe they did have sex, and he went out for coffee and breakfast (bread) for ther both of the.  And, my theory is the same as what's being reported.  H returned to find her using his laptop, and he became enraged at his loss of control...

Question:  it's reported that neither Joran nor Stephany were signed up for the poker tournament.  So, if they were just playing poker and he lost a lot of money to her, should he have had the money upfront or would that create a possiblity for going to his room for the money...maybe under the guise of wiring money from his account to her account?  TIA

She was an outted lesbian...why would she stay in his room if he left her to go get coffee?

I am thinking because it was @ 5am when they got done playing poker, she needed a place to crash and Joran charmed his way in with his nice guy routine.

WASHINGTON -- Natalee Holloway's mother, Beth Holloway, spoke briefly at a news conference in downtown Washington this morning to discuss the opening of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center to help the families of missing persons.

Beth Holloway spoke for less than two minutes and did not take questions.

"I feel confident it will serve as a point of light for all missing persons." Beth Holloway said this morning of the center.

The opening of the center today comes after Joran van der Sloot's recent arrest in the murder of Stephany Flores in Peru. The Dutch man has since confessed, according to the Associated Press. Van der Sloot has been the prime suspect in Holloway's 2005 disappearance.

"Let's keep the Flores family in our hearts and prayers," Beth Holloway said in her only comments on the Peru case.

Holloway was planning to answer questions about the center until news of Van der Sloot's confession broke this morning, said Janine Vaccarello, co-founder of the center.

There was an "FBI directive" that Holloway not discuss her daughter's or any van der Sloot cases, according to Vaccarello.Van der Sloot has been charged by federal prosecutors in Alabama with trying to extort $250,000 from Holloway's family in exchange for information about what happened.



Natalee Holloway was with her Mountain Brook High School classmates on a trip to Aruba when she disappeared, five years ago to the day of the death of Flores, 21, in van der Sloot's hotel room in Peru.

The resource center, co-founded by Beth Holloway, will officially open tonight with a public fundraiser at the National Museum of Crime and Punishment.
 
NOTE: HLN just showed the video of Beth asking everyone to keep the Flores family in their hearts and prayers and it was apparent she was struggling a big to keep her composure.

LIMA (Reuters) - The Netherlands citizen Joran van der Sloot, involved in the disappearance of an American in Aruba five years ago, confessed to killing a young Peruvian, said Tuesday a police source.

The Dutchman, 23, was arrested by Peruvian police on Friday after their counterparts in Chile and be expelled to the border with Peru, in a case that has drawn the attention of local and international press.

"Yes, he confessed yesterday (Monday) afternoon in the crime. He (Van der Sloot) said it was an impulsive attitude and did not mean to kill her, "said a police source told Reuters without giving further details about the case.

A local television news said, quoting police sources, the Dutchman killed the young Peruvian woman after she reviewed a laptop that would contain information on the American Natalee Holloway, whose disappearance had a major impact in the U.S..

Many journalists waiting outside the hotel on Tuesday where he was found dead on Wednesday the young Stephany Flores, 21, waiting for the police to arrive to the scene to perform a reconstruction of events.

Psychopathic confesses that killed Stephany

LIMA | The evidence against him collapsed. The Dutchman Joran van der Sloot confessed in recent hours that killed Flores Stephany Ramirez (23) and, although then allegedly refused to sign their statements, previously told the police some details of the gruesome crime that shocked Peru and the world.

From the early hours of last Sunday, specialized agents Homicide Investigation Division of the Dirincri began questioning the alleged psychopath. Until then he had shown abroad eluded detectives, but the experience of the past did the truth finally came out.
