The psycho freak of nature is up to something, but what.  I thought I read earlier that he'd dismissed the Peruvian lawyer he was provided.  If that is true, then could he be attempting to work the system, hoping his confession will be thrown out because he had no legal counsel.  We need more information and we need it now Smile

probably an email as to where Natalee was buried  was seen

see, better for joran to kill her because IF she were able to tell the police what she saw in the email then his goose was cooked so he figured  in his demented way to kill her take the laptop and try to  escape...

Evil ??   yes   but we already knew that

Makes me wonder what they might have discussed while playing poker....if she knew who he was, he may have given enough info for her to make that move to check his laptop.  We'll never know for sure...it will be his word...which is ca ca (sp)

I love this. Found on the Stephany Flores Ramirez and Joran Van der Sloot Case Facebook page;

Luisa Kay Reyes  P.S. I think everyone should boycott Aruba and vacation in Peru instead!!!!

I don't think it matters if he gets 10, 20 or 30 years.  I believe he'll be dead long before that.  But on the chance he's not, then he could be brought to the US on the extortion charges.  Not to mention if he admits to killing Natalee he could get another 6 months in Aruba (rolling eyes)

He's a compulsive liar; for all anybody knows he made up the whole story about her looking at his computer.

Call me cynical, but if the Peruvian authorities say he confessed, then he confessed. Same way that the Aruba authorities said he didn't? -- who cares. Taking care of business.

What does he have about Natalee on his laptop?  If he confessed on his computer, in a note to himself, or something, can it be proven that he wrote it?  No matter (unless, of course, the truth about where her body can be found is there) because, confession or none, he's done.
It said, "and found out who was involved in the murder of an American."

PortValerie, I agree with you about the integrity of the Peruvian authorities, but that doesn't mean he told them the truth.

I wonder if they have told him that he will be extradited to Alabama after he serves his sentence there.

Van der Sloot confesses to Peru slaying
Paper reports suspect lost his temper after victim grabbed laptop   Video

NBC News and news services
updated 12:10 a.m. ET June 8, 2010

LIMA, Peru - A high-ranking Peruvian government official confirmed to NBC News Monday night that Joran van der Sloot confessed to the slaying of a 21-year-old Lima woman.

According to La Republica newspaper, he said that his anger exploded and he broke Stephany Flores' neck after she grabbed his laptop without his permission, and found out that he was involved in the disappearance of an American woman.

The paper quoted Van der Sloot as saying, "I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life."

...and of course, by private life, he means she was intruding on Natalee info.

Whom he beat the heck out of, most probably, and SHE has been this slug`s

meal ticket for the past 5 years.

Such a nice boy, Anita!

I mean, of course, that any confession he makes would be rightfully a confession of his guilt--just that no one can really believe his reasons, excuses, story, details, etc.

I am reading from peruvian comments that he may pay only 10 years for confess the crime..I hope is not true

He won't survive 10 years in a Peruvian prison but if by chance he should. then he comes to the U.S. and faces 30 + 25 on Two Counts of extortion.  Federal, too, not state.

I'm OK with that!
