The nypost.com has a story about how he ate cake and drank a latte, or something, while he sat next to her dead body, contemplating what to do with it.  That just shows what an unfeeling murderer he is; must come with lots of practice.  One of the comments after the story states that the commenter thinks this was pre-meditated because he had tidal maps with him.  He probably carried tidal maps with him all the time, in case he felt like murdering somebody.  His daddy probably taught him stuff like that.

He had about 45 minutes to drink his coffee, eat his bread, kill Stephany, shower, change clothes, pack his stuff and leave the room.  That sounds about right.  I guess we don't need to know the details.  I know he killed Stephany and walked away.  That's enough.

So, tomorrow they announce the charges.  That should give us a pretty good idea of the time he will serve.  Will they also announce the name of prison in which he will reside?  That should be interesting, considering what I've read.

Evening, everyone.  Hello Tylergal, Anna, and so many of my friends from long ago.  We've come full circle now. Justice for Natalee may come through Stephany, but it's finally here.

I also think the time line that morning is a bit blurry.  One report had Joran and Stephany sitting in her car for 37 minutes after leaving the casino.  Roofie wrappers found in car, so they probably had drinks.  Then, they arrived at the hotel room at 5 AM.  Joran left for coffee and bread at 8:10 AM (taking half an hour?).  Joran left with his bags at about 9 AM.  She followed him into the room and they didn't look at each other, hold hands or exchange comments.  Very weird for a tryst, so I have to believe it was more of a "friends hanging out" thing.  So, why did they hang out together for three hours from 5 to 8:10 AM?  Sure, they did coke and smoked pot, but why wait three hours in the room?  I like the idea previously mentioned that he told Stephany he could get cash for her when the store opened at 8 AM.  Just speculating...  I don't believe his story about her invading his privacy and that made him mad.  That's bull.

If indeed he slipped her roofies, Id be surprised if she could function enough to perform google searches on his computer. From my understanding your not lucid during your bouts of consciousness.There was a case here were a lady was sliped GHB and when she woke the next morning she was in her car, she was raped and biten and 400 miles had been put on her car. Her last memory was cutting hair and accepting a drink.

Spooky, you may be on to something.  Perhaps the roofies knocked her out and he left her sleeping at 8:10 to run her cards through the ATM while getting coffee.  Somehow, though, I don't see Joran sleeping or watching her sleep for three hours from 5 to 8.  This just bugs me.

I think she was drugged. Either knocked out or aware of what was happening but unable to do anything. Isn't that what one of those date rape drugs do? They are basically a sedative for animals, or like the drug one takes for testing...where you are aware, the doctors can talk to you and instruct you as to what to do, but you have no contol over it and you remember very little if anything at all when it is all over and the drug is worn off?

Will the next step be a dismissal of the charges in the Kalpoe/Dr. Phil case?  It seems likely.  That was a long time a coming.  It should have never drug on this long.

I know you're not going easy on him, Carpe; I think you ought to be on his jury--or whatever group they'll have to make the decision to convict him.

You know, we can see that Stephany was drugged when following him to his room.  I'm still muddling, though, over what made her stay there 3 hours until after 8 AM when he went out for coffee.  Three hours is a long time to sit around in a tiny hotel room. 

Isn't it possible that she was killed rather quickly? Then he is the one who stayed for three hours in the room afterwards. It is more likely that he did something weird than that she did.

I think so and this is the reason.  When they left the casino, based on the video I have seen, they seemed very chummy and he seemed to be treating her like a lady.  As soon as they are nearing his room, he starts trying to separate himself from her, walking ahead of her, and she is definitely looking like she is in a different mood from the mood she was in when they were leaving the casino.  I think she is now feeling as though perhaps she does not want to go in but she does.  I think she died shortly after they arrived at the room.  The coke can, diet coke can could have been from before.  He had been there before this day.  He probably had a coke or diet coke and maybe even another person he was trying to hoodwink.
