I'm sorry to be thinking this, but it's a good thing that Stephany Flores is the daughter of a well-connected father who formerly ran for the highest office in Peru.  I have no doubt that this will go as we want it to.  Joran picked the wrong GIRL.

Has there been anything posted or reported as to why Peru considers a charge of robbery to deliver a stiffer and longer sentence than murder itself?  This continues to boggle my mind.

IN A SUITCASE. It was learned that Joran Van Der Sloot told agents he thought disappear Criminology Stephany Flores putting it in a suitcase after killing her brutally.

The Dutchman was planning to throw into the sea. However, it left open the idea because "there was no time to fetch a suitcase, or I did not know where to buy it. " In response, chose to flee.

I did hear, I think on CNN this morning, that after he is charged Joran will have a physical exam and then go to a different "jail" (for lack of a better word) to await trial.

Fox said press conference canceled and they are charging him with first degree murder. He is being taken to the judge now.

OTR at 10pm producer Kim Rittberg is on the ground in Peru covering the Joran van der Sloot story.  She just emailed me the info below:

Press conference in Lima cancelled. Van der Sloot has been taken, along with the police recommendation of charges, to the prosecutor's office. It's now in the prosecutor's hands. Van der Sloot is no longer officially in police hands. Prosecutor expected to give the report about Joran to the judge sometime today. Once judge receives this he has 24 hours to announce formal charges. We are hearing this will be 1st degree murder charges.

After watching the two videos of his transfer this morning, the attention has created a zoo with all the journalists etc.  The motorcycle almost got clocked by them trying to close the gates in the last video. They may want to relax the security a bit around him and see what happens from there.  (evil grin)

It got postponed..it got cancelled....Joran went to the hospital..Joran went to the Attorney General's office..Joran went before the Judge.. He had a lawyer..he didn't have a lawyer..he stole money...he didn't steal money..Anita's on her way...Anita's not coming..  he's getting 30 years...he's getting less than 5 years.. they're doing a re-enactment...they're not doing a re-enactment...

NO, we should NOT stop blaming Aruba and here are some reasons why.

Joran likely grew up hearing Paulus and Uncle Ben (Voc)King bragging about drugging and beating prisoners, the most notable of whom was Alex Matthews.  Note I am certainly no fan of Matthews but still, drugging and beating and housing without a roof in that sun, etc. was totally inhumane.

Remember the conditions under which Matthews was housed and yet now they want all manner of consideration when it is one of theirs.

Joran learned the art of drugging and abusing at their knee.  See World Court rulings stating Matthews human rights violated.

Paulus taught Joran to get in the internet and find out what to do when he killed somebody.  Like father, like son.  Only this time Joran couldn't make the body disappear as before.

The entire population did things such as protest marches against Beth Holloway, the victim's mother 2 or 3 times.  Teaching Joran and the rest of their youth to riducule the victim and the grief of their familis.

Jokes were made about Natalee and her mother, dishes named for crabs that likely fed off her corpse, cops suggested it wa just insurance scam and Natalee was fine, lies were told at the highest levels.  Dennis Jacobs a member of ALE told Dave Holloway about drinks being drugged by the locals.  This was done for the purpose of robbing and raping.

So why not blame Aruba?  It's their fault that Stephany Flores is dead because of the way they encouraged Joran and other when he killed Natalee.  It was all one big sick joke to them and they took delight in our pain and grief.

And now they once again seek to avoid being held accountable for their own action.  The whole world is going to know what that sick flyspeck did and they are the last place to expect favors from others.  Cut them no slack whatsoever!

We have been told he will be transferred to Miguel Castro Castro prison, one of the worst prisons in the world.

Wonder if he packed his Tommy Hillfigure gutchies this trip !!!

I hope that Natalee's family gets answers (and her remains) before Joran is put some where he may be killed and then they will never know.

Also, as far as Greta blaiming the FBI...by all accounts Joran was desperate for money.  Without the money from the sting he may or may not have made it to Peru, but he more than likely would have killed someone (a female) wherever he was.  Stephany just happened to be the target where he was currently located.  He was going to do whatever it took to get money wherever he was.

Klass why do you think Greta is so hung up on the FBI being to blame?
