my neighbor said would they be doing this if Stephany's father was not a highly visable personality............my guess, probably not. My son's Dutch American FIL is one with your neighbour.  He possesses an indepth knowledge regarding the Peruvian justice system and ... he claims it is one of the most corrupt.  His contends that an "under the table deal" with the Dutch would have Joran back in the Netherlands within a short period of time if Stephany's prominent family was not an issue.

Son's FIL claims if he was forced to choose ...  he would travel to Aruba prior to traveling to Peru and ... take his chances with manipulated Dutch law if necessary.

Frank - I'm hoping there is information on Joran's laptop or Joran's imprisonment will force others to talk.  That's all we have left because barring a miracle, Joran will never tell the truth about Natalee.

All we can do for Natalee right now is hope the truth comes out, either from Joran voluntary or otherwise or from his computer or from some where.

But for now, we must compare and contrast how this is handled in Peru versus how Aruba/NL REFUSED to do anything about it and instead chose to protest against BETH!

Peru is making Aruba look like the pathetic flyspeck it is and the whole world knows their refusal to prosecute Joran allowed him to kill again.  And maybe more than once for all we know.

And that's the miracle I have prayed for.  If this had to happen, Stephany is our angel and as her father said, she will get justice for both of them.

The Lord works in mysterious ways and He answers prayers in ways we would never imagine.  How would anyone have thought this scenario up 5 years ago and although this is a horrible thing that has fallen onto the family of Stephany, and there is never justice for another life being taken, the vehicle used here (Stephany, whose parents are high-profile) are the means by which to stop this monster from killing repeatedly and give the family of Natalee some peace, that at least he is off the streets and off the internet with his lies and bragging, and now he is having to literally "watch his butt..."

I want the inmate bosses to get the truth out of Joran using whatever means they'd like. I want them to make clear to Joran that if the info he gives does not pan out as to where her remains are, then he will pay a mighty price. I think Joran just might give it up under thoses circumstances. I'm thinking Stephany's Father might be able to arrange that and might be willing to do it.

Heard Jean Casarez report earlier today that Joran's new attorney claims the court appointed attorney was a "buddy" of the police & Joran did not agree or consent to that attorney.  Also brought up an issue of the evidence (contamination?  not sure what the issue is).

She also stated Joran will be put in with lower level offenders for his safety.

(Someone please correct me if this info is incorrect).

I agree.  It is unfortunate that a young woman was killed and her family has to suffer in order to put this monster in prison.

I don't think Joran is gonna escape this time, and like Anna (I think it was Anna that said she would blow a gasket or lose her mind, forgive me Anna - if it wasn't you) - I would lose all hope, however, should it happen, ((and I think the dutch will try and try and try so don't get me wrong)) - it would prove to everyone that there is no justice and Joran would get whacked. It's really that simple.

For five years everyone has let justice and karma turn the screws, should it fail this time - there will be a line of people forming to kill him.
