In Colombia study Van der Sloot - Dutch Times

BOGOTA / LIMA - The Colombian authorities are examining whether there is a link between the disappearance of girls in early May 2010 and the presence of Joran van der Sloot in the South American country. UPDATE 11:30 am

Writes that the Colombian newspaper El Espacio Tuesday (local time). The paper said Van der Sloot in at least two hotels in Bogota, and he stayed in various casinos and there have also been reported with girls. On May 14 he left the Colombian capital Bogota to Peru. He has confessed that he had a 21-year-old Stephany Flores has slain.

Peruvian radio station RPP According to the police and the prosecution started an investigation into Van der Sloots laptop. Van der Sloot in his confession stated that he has slain Stephany Flores after he found out she had looked into his laptop. He was afraid that something about his problematic past should know.

The Peruvian police want to date no communication on the progress of the investigation. The Peruvian immigration has prompted Van der Sloot said that mother was not in the country has arrived. This after rumors that they increasingly become the Peruvian capital Lima would be.

TURBOTHINK, I believe you and Rick of Texas and I might be the only ones who believe this is possible, but these are sick people doing sick things, sicker than the average mind can imagine and the reason we do not want to think about it, is that is so beyond what the normal person thinks of, but I have worked with porno rehabilitation in our area (not because I have any experience (LOL) but because our church is working with the porno addicts in the area and this is not beyond the pale, and even people you would never think of thinking of things like this.  Drugs can do strange things to otherwise good people (which the Sloots are not, but that is beside the point) and I do believe she is on film somewhere dying and I believe these people are capable of the most moribund and morbid acts.

Ahem!  Tyler, I seem to remember spending endless hours looking on the internet for something, getting my computer hacked and developing eyestrain looking for something to this effect.  I have always thought that 8 minute phone call could well have been a video of Natalee and there was even a big argument here on SM about that.  We looked for places it could have been posted such as to get Dirty Dollars or whatever that BackSeat trash called them.

But wouldn't it be something if there was such on Joran's computer until this day?  And was thought Paulus went to Miami personally to retrieve some sort of video or photographic evidence related to Natalee.

And yes, I do think Joran is stupid enough to actually have something totally incriminating on his computer because he thinks he will never be caught at anything because he sadly thinks he is smarter than everybody else.  That last part is thanks to Anita and his other enablers in Aruba because the boy is not even right in the head.

Van der Sloot Was Angry Shark in Two Online Poker Rooms

The primary suspect in the slaying of a young Peruvian woman, Joran van der Sloot, is a known online poker player and was in attendance at the PokerStars sponsored Latin American Poker Tour during its early leg before coming to Lima.

Van der Sloot has confessed to the beating death of 21-year old student Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel room registered under his name.  He was also the number one suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway from Aruba in 2005.

Van der Sloot is now known to have played in at least five online poker rooms and won over $12,000 in a poker tournament sponsored by PartyPoker.com last year.  His most recognized poker handles was AANOTILTKK at PartyPoker.com.

He used the handle (player name) angryshark68 in both the PokerStars.com and UB.com online poker rooms, according to reports.  He was reportedly using the handle pokerpro68of on Full Tilt Poker.

A 'shark' as it applies to the game of poker is a very good poker player, one who usually wins. At the poker table, a shark looks for the fishes at the table and eats their chips up.  There is a bit of irony in that van der Sloot was detained by Chilean police on while traveling in a taxi, about halfway to the coast on Route 68, a number appearing in two of Joran's online poker handles.

There are conflicting reports as to just how good an online poker player van der Sloot actually was.  Some say he has won large sums of money, though there is little documentation of this.

Van der Sloot is known to have traveled the world and was able to pay for the trip to South America, quite possibly with money obtained through extortion.

Federal agents, in an attempt to catch him for Natalee's disappearance five years ago, gave Joran $25,000 payoff.  During the sting operation, van der Sloot had promised to offer information on where Natalee's remains could be found.

Joran appeared to be budget-conscious while following the Latin American Poker Tour.  A single room at the Hotel Tac where he was staying cost a mere US$16 per night.  Ironically, the Hotel Tac's most emphasized amenities were its 24 Hour Surveillance, video cameras and permanent security, mentioned prominently on its website.

They better have made a full copy of that hard drive BEFORE they let Aruba authorities touch it.

I don't understand why the press feels the need to "guilt trip" whoever paid Joran the extortion money.  Who's to say he wouldn't have just killed another young girl in Aruba when the anniversary came around?

Getting that money just made his already sick and twisted plan ... even more sick and twisted.  He could get the thrill of killing again and kick the Holloway's in the stomach while doing it.

bad idea, why don't they just look at their video from 05 and all his confessions if they think something happened.

Laptop sink more Joran van der Sloot

HLN is reporting that the re-enactment may not happen at all because the Peruvian LE says it may already have enough to file formal charges.

Thank you Irish Monkey.  I thought I heard the same thing, but wasn't sure.


CNN just reported that there most likely will not be a reenactment. Not needed, they have enough evidence without it.

They believe the act was pre-meditated which means his confession will be thrown out and authorities have enough evidence without it. This is good news since that means he will be charged with either aggravated murder or aggravated robbers which carry stiffer sentences.

A big difference in their evidence rules which require preponderance as opposed to reasonable doubt.
