Awww, she's so cute. So very young. It's so sad to watch this.

Very sad especially knowing now she would be dead in less than 1-3 hours after this.

She carried her little white purse in her front jeans pocket. That's why we couldn't see it in the video of her walking into Hotel Tacky with the monster.

That was my thought as well, she put it into her jean pocket. It was more the size of a wallet than a purse IMO.

I also noticed she seemed to walk with her head looking down and not up? Did anyone else notice that?

My guess is that he told her he had the money to pay her back in his hotel room
and that is why she went with him.

Surely that laptop was tested for the girls fingerprints,yes? If there are none on it belonging to her,we then have a different motive for the killing.The lady on NG tonight suggested that Joran was possiblt forcing her into oral sex which would be consistant to the bruising of both knees.The drawings of the injuries also showed heavy bruises on the top of her feet.That would also be consistant with this scenario.Just disgusting..

someone said that they had not seen Beth since this all happened - no one answered. I scanned ahead. I saw her. She said that she wanted everyone to pray for Stephany's family, and some other stuff. I noticed that she was not speaking as she normally does. Hard to explain and under the circumstances - it's understandable. I can't really explain how she was speaking, but it didn't sound like her normal self.

BTW - I thought she looked very attractive.

It was me. I know she spoke at the center's opening and she did say a message for Stephany's family. But I have not seen her in the media at all. That's what I was getting at. (and yes she looked very pretty, yet emotional)

Once convicted, I don't believe Joran will ever be extradited to Holland.

The murder was committed in Peru and the victim was a Peruvian citizen.  She was also the daughter of a well-known and very influential figure in Peru. I believe I read that he ran for vice President, so he surely is also very well-connected politically.

Considering the press parades they've had Joran do (three, I think?) - Peru is making this a showcase for their justice system. That they can prosecute this murderer and sentence him according to their laws.

Handing him over to Holland, even if they 'demand' it at some point, would be a tacit admission that their criminal justice system is incapable of holding a european... Besides, there's no extradition treaty anyway.

I don't believe he'll ever leave Peru.  And on the off chance he does make it till the end of his sentence, the US gets the next shot at him.

I can only assume that it is standard protocol for all Dutch/Aruban citizens who are caught up in the Peruvian justice system to be provided with "a private attorney hired by diplomats from the embassy"?

Joran's penchant for viewing porn sites would nearly guarantee he destroys a laptop every six months.........the worst virals on the web are on those sites, many you can't recover a hard drive from too.

I'm only going to take a guess here about Greta's tirade toward the FBI.  Greta talked to Beth the day this happened with Joran.  She said Beth was devastated that her money allowed Joran to escape to Peru and kill again and the FBI should have arrested him on the spot instead of letting him get away.  Well how do you think Joran was able to get in touch with Beth?  My guess is Joran contacted Greta and Greta was the go between with Joran and Beth.  I read on here yesterday (I think) that the FBI had told Beth to not speak about this.  Could Greta have been dumb enough to supply the money to Beth and John Q. in exchange for an exclusive on the arrest of Joran?  Maybe the money wasn't intended to have been lost forever in Greta's eyes.  Now the money is gone and Greta has no exclusive interview and I would say she is mad as he$$.  JMO 

That makes reasonable sense-when she had the old gang- [ Bernie, Hammer, & Ted ], on the other night I got the impression she had had a personal connection to this somehow.

Yes you're right about that! I find it odd Klaas that no one has mentioned fingerprints on the laptop that supposedly she was snooping on.Maybe some would consider that a small detail but in my opinion,it would be far better than some stupid re-enactment of the murder in which he'd just lie about anyway.I dunno,I'm just so sick of Joran..
