Is Julia/Glenda finally admitting Joran's guilt or has she just clammed up??? I SOOOOOOOOO hope Joran "outs" her!!!

Up until a couple days ago she was still casting doubt her usual BS way.  Last couple days she has mostly shut up.
Medleyrelay is quite on the boards as well but she did do a radio interview about her BS book. 

If her book is as well written as her posts on RU, it will be good toilet tissue for Castro Castro, because not even a third-grader would write so poorly.

I got kicked out, but was able to watch Shep cover the story.

There was a guy on there saying that the reason Joran wasn't arrested for the extortion attempt is because it is not extortion. He said that by definition, extortion MUST carry a threat. There was no threat of bodily harm or harm to reputation or anything else. It was simply a transaction. Joran had something they wanted so he offered to sell it.

He even cited a case involving Bill Cosby where it wasn't extortion and the judge threw it out on the same grounds as applys here.

So saying "I won't tell you where Natalee is unless you pay me $250,000" isn't a threat?

Maybe one of our legal eagles know but ... I am not sure what constitutes a threat.  However ... when Joran accepted the $25,000 and then emailed John Kelly while on the run conceding that he had lied in regards to where he claimed Natalee's remains were ... could that be considered a "fraud"?

I think the wire mailing of the money was enough to constitute charges, but as far as the mail to JQK, that's a nothingberger.  I think the Lord works in mysterious ways and I think we are seeing his hand in this.  We wonder why some things happen the way we do but in time we will all know.

That August, desperate for money, he offered an interview to Jaap Amesz, a Dutch reality show star, for pay. "I gave him money to solve debts and the rent for his apartment" says Amesz. In exchange van der Sloot offered a new version of events in the Holloway case: He said that she took cocaine and fell off a balcony, after which he dumped her in a swamp.

"His moods can switch from one second to the other" says Amesz. "He has a huge gambling, smoking and drinking addiction" To that list Tacopina adds marijuana.

By February van der Sloot was so broke that he was living in his restaurant.

Following February 10 death of his father from a heart attack, he negotiated the sale of his restaurant for $12,000 to an American man and Thai woman.

The women says that he was distraught over his father's death, sobbing and screaming and claiming he needed money for a plane ticket home. "We made the contract that if he came back, he could buy the cafe' back" she says.


Van der Sloot won't be returning anytime soon.
