Interpol - Story Time

Dear Monkeys,

I have been wondering since the start of this case - where is Interpol? It used to be all over the world.

When I got married in 1964, my husband bought a "Great Books of the World" series of books that arrived in a bookcase. It was expensive. We were poor, living in my mother's house until we got on our feet and here he went and bought something useless to us at that time in our lives. He said, "We'll make payments." Believe it or not, I had never heard of making payments. My mother was an accountant and pounded over and over into my head that you don't buy something you cannot afford to pay cash for. If she knew all the payments and interest I'm making now, she would turn over in her grave.  

Anyway, the husband said "We are moving to Norway." He had plenty of relatives there who would help him find a job. So we packed up stuff and shipped it to Norway, which took about three months to arrive there. On the way to Norway, we stopped in London, Paris, and Germany to visit my father, who used to be in the Army but at that time was retired and working for the Stars and Stripes newspaper. My father did not like my husband and he gave me several hundred dollars cash to buy a warm coat when I got to Norway.

Meanwhile, my husband financially defaulted on two things. One - he bought a car and his father was the co-signer so the father was stuck with the debt and he never spoke to my husband again. The other default was the monthly payments for the great books.

It turned out that my husband could not get a job in Norway. When the steamer trunks arrived by ship and we had to turn around and send them back. We had no income. My mother was so mad that she wanted to send an airline ticket home for me only and leave my husband stranded in Norway. But she didn't want to break up the marriage so she sent two tickets.

Meanwhile, my father sent me a telegram in Norway saying that Interpol was looking for my husband regarding his defaulting on the payment of the great books. I was astonished that Interpol could trace him to my father's house in Germany. He was a "nobody" - just a young guy from Monrovia, SoCal.

So, where is Interpol in the Natalee Holloway case?  Does Interpol still exist? Does anyone know?

OT//Yes, it was a scorcher, and tomrrow is supposed to be worse.  My DH called and said the thermometer in his work vehicle read 102 degrees around Noon.  

Tyler may be sitting in her special spot in the garden, with her lovely roses.  Which reminds me, I should go tend to my little blossoms before it gets dark.

Very wierd - overcast and it looks like it may rain.  Had thunder and lightening last night.  It's in the 70's so much cooler than yesterday.

I HAVE A REQUEST REGARDING OFF TOPIC CONVERSATIONS:

Some is to be expected especially when there's no news in the case.  But if the topic is about anatomy or medical problems, or former posters - please create a thread in the Monkey Lounge to discuss.  If you have pictures of your house/car/sock monkeys/cats etc, please start a thread in the Monkey Lounge.  You are welcome to post a link to that thread in the LCD.  Let's try to keep the LCD as much case related as possible.

Also, when there is news and we have a guest like Dana posting let's please try to be respectful of his time and stay on topic.

I know we can't be on topic all the time and expect off topic when times are slow.  Let's just try to take as much of it as we can to the Monkey Lounge. The hellos and how's the weather are fine and to be expected.

One more thing, whether you like it or not...I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE. I'm staying until we have resolution in this case and most likely beyond that.

Does it never stop??  I got it too.  Deleted it...was obvious what it was.

Unfortunately BFN has bought into some of the people who have nothing to do with integrity and desire to bring Natalee home, or to get justice for the family.  Those people will tell you they can prove to you where they got things.  Ask them for the information and what happens to you is they have your computer information then and they hack into your computer, many others and mislead people.  BFN was used just like SM was and some of these same people are still revered by many at both sites.  It's amazing.  I am out of here forever.

Makes me glad that Scared Monkeys is a closed board ~ and I think I'm going to close down even tighter...
