very good point lexie and one I had not thought of until you mentioned it. I only wish I had saved the tear-jerking posts bondia made about the damage to that baby  

I think for a caring mom, the first thought would have been the baby, not herself or anyone's language.

I've been thinking about why Aruba continues to stand behind the vd Sloots and cover up this crime. It has to be more than tourism at stake, b/c we know that tourism has taken at least a 15% hit and will probably continue to decline.  It has to be more than just friendships and loyalty to Paulus.  It seems that there are some dirty little secrets that some are willing to go to great lengths to keep from being revealed.  We know that money laundering, drugs & prostitution goes on in Aruba and is not considered all that terrible except that it is illegal here in the US (mostly).  It has to be the child porn & incest that they are desperate to keep hidden at all costs.  Why else would so many people put themselves on the line for these 3 kids & Paulus?

In the beginning, I was very skeptical of all the "conspiracy" theories, but the longer this goes on, the more you have to wonder why.  Like you said, they should have given up J2K, even PVDS, months ago, if that was all they were hiding.  There has to be something bigger and more damaging to tourism than rape/murder by locals.

I also think back to Beth's statements.  She has,  NEVER that I know of, stated that Joran killed Natalee... only that the three "KNOW WHAT THEY DID WITH HER".  That leaves room for them passing her off to others.  While the human trafficking is not something I believed in the beginning, I wonder now if there were others involved, and J2K were the delivery boys.

I'm coming back around to the trafficking theory as well.  It was plausible early on, then everything got obfuscated, but it makes sense and it would account for a lot.  And it DOES happen.

Well, Lexie, that goes to show you the mentality there.  The only reason they could think of that someone would tell the truth was if a lawyer made them do it.

When one looks at the fact that Suriname is on the watchdog list for human traffickers, and the Netherlands surveys its own problems with it, it kind of makes one wonder. It would have been the perfect weekend for it.  Holiday weekend, with many extra boats on the water due to the Soul Beach festival.  J2K were the errand boys & Paulus giving the approval on selection.  Maybe the boys thought they could make some extra money with a video before they turned her over to the buyer.  But that's where things went awry.

I can only read in short spurts, and am careful about the threads I go to.  They are WAY too vile over there for me.  

You know they all worship at her feet over there...  I saw a post where a new poster asked them to cite a "credible source", and the response was "Glenda is our credible source".

Good evening everyone!  Been away this weekend, and have pretrty mucn been out of the loop.  Did catch Dana's show though...am I reading right that the statemtn about Renfor was proved accrate?  Also, does anyone know which date Dana's show had Julia as a guest?

Thirdstrike - as it turns out the JR Statement that was posted at BFN turned out to be an inaccurate translation.  The corrected translation of the sentance in question is here below.  There were also some other parts left out but nothing to do with whether JR was paid or not.

Ok, so it turns out Julia wasn't paid for her statement then?  Boy, was that a big one...
