Joran Van der Sloot and Trujillo Ospina have made friends in prison

According to INPE staff, foreigners play casino and talk constantly when they leave their single cells.

It was known that the Dutchman now eat food and befriended Trujillo Alejandro Ospina, the Colombian hit man accused of the crime of Myriam Fefer.

Joran Van der Sloot is being held in a cell of three by eight feet, located in the Prevention Pavilion, located on the second floor of the prison.

The turbulent life of Dutchman arrested in Peru - Yahoo! News

LIMA (AP) - Joran van der Sloot charged with a playboy reputation murderer, liar, cheater and player incurable.

The Dutchman is now 22 years arrested in Peru on charges of killing the young Stephany Flores. Five years ago, was suspected of killing Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

"If I could describe as an animal would say I'm a snake" he wrote in his profile on YouTube but then added, "I want to be a lion and someday I'll be a lion."

Caged lion is what it is now, at age 22. Van der Sloot remains confined in a Peruvian prison, afraid of his cellmates. His fall from grace has been precipitous, grew up privileged in the quiet Aruba, where he was a star tennis and soccer, prisoner shackled and escorted by Peruvian police amid shouts of "murderer!".

But in the five years between the disappearance of Holloway and flowers, what was the life of Joran Van Der Sloot? How did a case of a missing girl in Aruba to a murder in Lima? Who is he, really?

Since it became known that Van der Sloot was a suspect in the murder of Flores, would spread rumors that he had left a trail of murdered girls as they pass through different countries. Tourism is an amateur who has crossed borders in Cambodia, Hong Kong, Venezuela and the United States.

Peruvian police called him a "psychopath." A New York detective who worked with Holloway, Bo Dietl, considers him "a homicidal maniac."

But no evidence has emerged that Van der Sloot was involved in any other case of a violent and does not look like your typical deranged loner. In fact have enough friends, girlfriends and enthusiastic supporters.

Before his arrest in Lima, the only other case in which he was involved in any act of violence in the last five years was in January 2008. It was when he threw a glass of wine in the reporter's face Dutchman Peter de Vries at the end of a television program in which de Vries was accused of lying.

Yet these five years have been turbulent for Van der Sloot:

He was arrested twice in connection with Holloway's disappearance, but was released. Is harassed by the media and pursued by private detectives hired by the Holloway family.

He returned to Holland but could not live a normal life as a student because of the harassment of the press. He moved to Thailand, where he studied business administration but did not graduate. Bought a small restaurant.

In February, his father, a prominent lawyer in Aruba, felled by a heart attack fell on the tennis court, at 57 years of age. Van der Sloot back to Aruba and stay there for a while after the funeral.

Hence it keeps moving. Without money, he gets $ 25,000 Holloway's mother to take her to promise that the remains of his daughter. The FBI secretly recorded the conversation Van der Sloot but not detained.

Instead go to Lima to play poker. According to the file, kill Flores after a night of playing cards in a casino when you drank about 10 whiskeys with pisco and she drank wine. The evidence is so overwhelming, police say, that the young man had no choice but to confess.

According to Van der Sloot confession, obtained by the AP, he says he hit Flores Flores but hit him first.

He has logged 160 deaths in the video game "Mob Wars" and is a regular on "drunk pee anywhere." He also likes poker, Heineken beer and Barack Obama.

In Muang Ake, a quiet suburb of Bangkok, Rangsit University attended in 2008 to study business administration but dropped out. Sawadee bought the Cup, a cafe on the outskirts of campus which offers sandwiches and pizza.

A person who knew there was Matthew Van der Sloot Lufcy, a school teacher of 35 years old originally from Illinois. Lufcy says he does not understand how Van der Sloot was so indifferent to people to know their identity.

"Yes, I would say it was an arrogant, as if he thought anything could happen. I had no fear of people finding out who he was," says Lufcy. He said he met a young woman, a blonde from California, who was then the girlfriend of Van der Sloot, and that he did not understand how she could be with him knowing who he was.

It may be that Van der Sloot was a handsome and charismatic, but clearly was clumsy with the money. At least that is what tells the young Thai who, with her American boyfriend, bought the cafe.

"I saw the documents and the balance of expenditure and there was much that was wrong," said the woman, who only wanted to use his first name, Siripat. Still, he said, Van der Sloot "was a very nice man, invited us to eat, let us eat in his cafe for free."

If anyone could be described as the nemesis of Joran van der Sloot, this is De Vries, an investigative reporter for 53 years of age and serious expression that has refused to dismiss the case.

In 2008, journalist Netherlands broadcast a video taken with a hidden camera, in which Van der Sloot confesses that his friend disposed of Holloway's body after she, intoxicated, suffered convulsions and died. In conversation with some businessmen and former convict Patrick Van MA, Van der Sloot reveals that he had asked her to give him oral sex.

In the video, MA Van comments on the scandal that the event has caused in the press. Van der Sloot, smoking what appears to be a marijuana cigarette, smiles and says "Now I can take advantage of it too."

Nine months later De Vries broadcast a video in which Van der Sloot, in Bangkok, says it is trying to hire prostitutes to go to Holland. Soon after, Van der Sloot tells the host Greta van Susteren, Fox News, that he sold to a network Natalee traffic sex slaves. But before the van Susteren transmit the interview, he called again to say it was all a lie.

It seems that in recent months, particularly after the death of his father, Van der Sloot again began to play games of chance.

"I have a real job but I am a professional poker player," he says in his YouTube page. He says he does not read many books, but if I had to choose one as a favorite would be "Ace on the River" by Barry Greenstein, a book about poker.

The day he was arrested in Chile, Van der Sloot gave a complicated story according to which two assailants broke into his hotel room when he was with Flores. According to the transcript obtained by the AP, Van der Sloot claims that one had a gun and a knife.

The knife were ordered to remain silent "but Stephany began to speak out loud and he hit her in the face making him bleed from the nose," says the transcript. The same assailants, Van der Sloot said, had attacked the day before and they had taken $ 4,000.

Roberto Blades, brother of singer Ruben Blades, told Peruvian media that played poker at the same table with Van der Sloot in Lima and he was surprised that no one in Peru seemed to be aware of who was the Dutchman.

Anna, I was just thinking this last night.  There was a post on here with someone pondering why it seems that the only way him and his family/friends down there in Aruba can get some, is by drugging a girl.  It actually makes sense, they are all so slimy, despicable and well if that picture is accurate, it really makes sense now. 

That picture is really disturbing (but funny).  And also the one of his brother eating the "worms" lol.  I laugh and wince at the same time when both are posted.

Dragnet, Agree.  It would eliminate the laughing and pointing if Joran's victims were drugged.

Also I think it was Tater who asked about when the alleged house of cards all falls down, to whom are they all accountable.

As best I can make of their convoluted system, it is only themselves!  And we know they are not going to do anything.  If one rats on A about X, then A will just rat on them back about Y and Z.  But in the end, nothing will happen.

There may be a report written but I don't think any shockers will come to light and instead the rest of the entire region will be just as shocked at the Gringos who ever thought it was any different and that justice was even possible.

A lot of money was invested in Aruba to build all those high rises and manamde beaches so I guess the promotion of tourism continues to bring in a few to keep the floundering economy on life support.

OHHHH that name Bo Dietl. He's got a reputation for failute. He was part of Bernie Kerick's mess in NYC. Tried to make money from 911 and is totally corrupt.

It appears that John Q. Kelly has confidence in Bo Dieti.  The family attorney has called on Dieti twice for assistence in regards to the Natalee Holloway case.

.... Dietl, who was called by the attorney for the Halloway family in 2007 to work on the wrongful death lawsuit against the accused killer, told Good Day NY on Thursday that Van der Sloot contacted the lawyer in April.

"(John) Kelly was contacted by Van der Sloot who said my father died and I  want to tell you where the body of Natalee Halloway is buried," said Dietl.  John meets with me. I tell him this is an extortion set up. We contact the FBI office in Alabama. They tell him to tell me to back out,  we'll set it up.
