My older daughter called and she and her husband went to an estate sale, they got there near the end, and you should see what they all got, sofa bed tables chairs, pots and pans towels curtains, etc all for ten dollars, I guess we taught her well how to get a bargain  LOL    Does anybody know of a website that you can go on to get info on a sailor. The military records of a World War II Navy Sea Bee, my husband asked me to ask on here. He wants to find out stuff about his dad, thanks.

NRCG    The best place I can think of is Ancestry.com  It is a pay site but you can do a monthly service.  They have lots of military records.  The other is the National Archives. I would have to go though my records to find the address. You have to write for the information. They do have a web site.

I am off to go check up on a friend. I haven't been able to reach her for a couple days. And we talk every night.

I have papers on my  brother from when he was in the 101st Airborne.My mom wantes me to to try and locate some info on him,photos and such.I will be waiting until Fall when Sidekick goes back to school.

I not only have snacks cakes I decided to start a hobby  LOL   I bought a bunch of little bare wood birdhouses for a dollar, and I'm going to paint and stencil them for the yard. That will be fun  LOL

That is a great idea.Sounds like a project my little buddy and I would enjoy!
Off to do a little more reading.....maybe not.digger is pacing the floor.I say it is hubby's turn to take him out. 

I'll bet you and little sidekick would have fun doing that, the price was right at one dollar, and the paint was two for a dollar, they also had other little things to paint also, little boxes, all kinds of them.

NoRose do you know his Rank?  I ask because there is " sites" broken down within Ranks of those who served in the Navy. That is how I found much information on Corpsman who served. ( My Dad, in Korea) By searching sites created for Corpsman by Corpsman. Hope this helps. xo Me.

It is all White and Shabby and battered - Yet for those to keep in mind. You can paint it to any color you wish once received. The quality of the pieces I have received is " HIGH quality" .. very sturdy. No issues at all/Not one complaint. Most 99 % of the pieces are purchased originally from estate sales ..yet are then dipped in shabby white. The cost though is so much cheaper than any site you can find online - with similar furniture.

Thank-you, I've been meaning to go on Ancestry.com, I was interested to find something out about my family. And this way then perhaps my husband can find out he is looking for about his dad, and grandpa who was in World War I.

Well it seems like I just missed everyone.

My friend is fine. Her & hubby decided to take a trip out to Calif. I was so relieved when her said told me. I had her in the hospital or worse. Don't know why I can't get through on her cell. Oh well.
