TY for the prayers for my MIL, she is 88 and needs to be in a nursing home, family is trying but she doesn't want to go. She is very obese, takes tons of prescribed meds, losing muscle daily not moving.

I think she has her meds mixed up and is taking them wrong but I am just the DIL, not much I can do. Family is having a meeting next week, then going to visit Dr and I guess get it settled.

This has been going on with her for over a yr. now. It's tough but all of us are seniors and not able to take care of her due to her weight and our health.

JSM your sister is weighing heavily on my mind, I pray she will be safe.
If someone can encourage her to call the domestic abuse hot line and make an appointment and keep it, she will receive the help to get away from the abuser. I pray she can do that. It is very scary to watch and not be able to do anything. I am praying for her and your family.

Os - I have the same problem - MIL needs to be in a nursing home but will not go (she could go to a senior apt too, but no go on that either) - I am off today to take her a locking pill minder to hopefully increase her compliance with her meds. Either way, it is a tough spot to be in. Prayers for you and your family!

I am so hurt for Morgan's family right now.You want the killer caught,at the same time your heart is breaking over and over.

Hello Monkeys, last night was pretty eventful and I couldn't stay in the cage. Sister's husband went to jail for punching her. I was up until 1:45 worrying like crazy. So, sorry if I am behind I have loads of work to do today. Have a great day and HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh goodness gracious JSM you must be dead tired.  Was your sister hurt bad?  OMG that is awful.  I feel so bad for the children.  I hope they are ok emotionally and physically. 

Thanks Mission, I am tired. She wasn't hurt bad thank God, but like the police officer said it will escalate and he had already been out there two weeks ago. My oldest nephew hasn't stayed there in a while, I call him the hobo going from his dad's to my mom's. Sister and baby were at mom's last night. I'm sure she will be home tonight. I am beyond disgusted right now.

JSM I hope they can get back to some normalcy for the children's sake so sad things have to be like this.  I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

A very difficult situation JSM, glad he went to jail, but I just hope your sister doesn't back down with pressing charges. Unfortunately this happens a lot. I of course don't know your sister, but if she is anything like me, it may be best to back off comments to her about all this. Sometimes what happens is a person get's stubborn and annoyed by it, and will do the opposite. Please don't take this badly, I sure would never intend to do that, just thinking this may help. But you know her best, so what ever you think may work, do it  HUGS   Going to eat supper and will be back.

I didn't tell her what I overheard him saying to someone at the pool about my oldest nephew. Broke my heart that he would say such a thing. But if I said anything to her, she would not have believed me. Have a great supper and see you real soon. : )

Very difficult, and what a shame that he is saying bad things about your nephew as well, what a jerk. Unfortunately that is sometimes the best, keep your lips zipped and tolerate, but at the same time it is very difficult to do. When I bring up questions about my daughter's boyfriend and why he is still not divorced after three years, she clams up and doesn't want to talk about it. It is always, I don't want to talk about it. That's why sometimes it is good to just blurt out real loud what ever point you want to get across, and leave that person later to think real hard about it. I don't know what to say, just that some people want to make things work regardless of the situation, and don't want to feel like a failure. And he sure isn't going to change his behavior, therapy is a good thing, but that doesn't work for some people, period.

Yikes, I am glad you press the subject at times, I would do the same darn thing.  When my daughter decided to hold off on getting married I asked many many questions as to why, never got a good answer, or should I say one I was satisfied with but I finally did get one after months of asking, she likes someone else.  Uggggh I wanted to ground her for the rest of her life.

Wow, Trimm I can't wait to you get home, Blink has a new article up about Morgan and that they have connected another murder. Possible connection between Harrington’s murder, and the homicide of Vanessa Pham in Fairfax, VA.

I have been home long enough to want to walk back out.Hubby said the lady wants to meet and discuss the property she wants.It is the 4th of July weekend,there is no way to run this through an attorney tomorrow.You know everyone is gonna leave for a long weekend and she plans to return to California on the 6th.
All I know is to discuss what she is willing to pay and then have the papers drawn up and faxed,mailed or flown by pigeon.LMAO.I didn't get home until 7:30 and I am about to pull my hair out.I have planned to work tomorrow,so I guess I'll make it short and sweet and hit the road,and miss court.Da**it.My sister's husband was bitching because we were not through.He!!,the project keeps growing.It's a good thing hubby is cool,or I would have cussed him out this evening.Tomorrow evening may be a vodka martini evening.

Hi Gang!   I am so  far behind but I wanted to say hello!
we were out on the lake almost all day today and it is after 10:00 at night and I am just now looking in here from early this morning! I hope that I am not missing any important news from my friends here but I know that it would take me forever to catch up!
I did visit the Kyron thread a few minutes ago to post that I saw his missing child poster today here in Missouri at the Walmart store..his photo stood out from all the rest cause it had his picture with his big wide grin! it was sad to see ...

I almost fell off my chair with all that happened yesterday in Morgan's case, and then kept getting knocked off of here. I'll bet George doesn't show up in court today, and if I drink Baileys I will be under the desk, and miss out  LOL  theboyzmom, sorry you are having to deal with this situation also. So sad, I spent many years working in nursing homes and home health care, I enjoyed it, but at the same time just hated it, seeing how sad the people were.

Good morning Mission. In a big way be glad that your daughter realizes that now, before she got married, I don't blame you for being upset, I can just imagine how I would go off. I just want this guy to finally get a divorce, that is all, I don't doubt his intentions for my daughter, he is the best thing that has happened to her, I hate to say that. And I have been vocal about him going to Afghanistan in two weeks. Matter of fact she and I got into an argument over it yesterday. I said, he doesn't need to go because of his knee, but he is anyway, for that darn money. I told her think about that, please. I just have to give up I guess.
