I just mentioned the name James in that one post, but I really don't think he had anything to do with it at all. As far as swingers go, I can't imagine a mad swinger going after somebody's kid for revenge, I suppose anything could happen, but I don't see it. As far as Terri goes and this swinging lifestyle, months and months ago maybe I could see it, but this is a woman who has let herself go, and I believe it is from depression. She has depression written all over her face to me, I don't see a woman dating and swinging.

Oh, not to worry. James has been mentioned quite a few times before by others. I just think he is a good kid, personally, and he is a minor, and I kinda hate to see his name mentioned in this mess. That's just me.

And still, no one replies to my posts there. LOL

I have now asked several times about this alternate lifestyle and get no answer, so don't feel bad. This all came out of left field, and I see nothing in print anywhere about such a lifestyle.

Okay I am going over to read in the the Kyron thread.
I was really hoping to get more news on Morgan.She is in my heart,big time.

I will not back down on this, once something is in my head it stays there. I was hoping for more news on Morgan also, at least now there is something solid, but now the problem is where is this monster?

Just sitting here watching Dale JR lead the Daytona race. And thinking about Kyron, Natalee and HaLeigh, these cases are very upsetting for me. I really need to walk away.

MIL is doing better, she is home, DH talked to her about her meds this morning, he said she sounded more coherent.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers for my MIL.

I am hoping when SM gets fixed I can post about our recent trip out west and post some pics I took of Bryce Canyon, Zion Nat'l Park, North rim of Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree Nat'l park, oh heck lots of pics. LOL

One of my sons was at White Sands missile base and National park, NM last week, I had no idea we had such beautiful sand dunes out there. Amazing. Have a couple pics.

You know what? So do I, can feel myself starting to get mad, and don't need that. I'm going to go over to JoAnne fabrics and look around, need a distraction for awhile. Have a good afternoon, I will come back in a little while, need to spend money  LOL  Don't even need anything. I will use the excuse it is a holiday weekend, not that my husband cares if I go out to buy stuff we don't need, he is use to that  LOL

OK, now that I know the server is still up....

My mother-in-law died Thursday afternoon. It wasn't unexpected, she's 80 and had been in bad health for years. Her out of state daughter and granddaughter got here Tuesday, so that was good, they got to say goodbye. I saw her Tues. night, and knew it wouldn't be long.

Like DH said yesterday, we knew this day was coming (and I have been praying that God take her peacefully), but still... it's sad.

The good thing about her death has been the time spent with his family. Weds and Thurs, all the kids were together, planning. They asked me to start the obit. Ok, so I started writing an obit that said what I wanted to say about her. I wanted to honor her, I wanted to let people know what amazing kids she had, and what an amazing lady she was. I figured I'd do a few paragraphs, and the rest of the family would finish it.

So, yesterday, I left work at noon (Hi, I've only worked here 1 week and 3 days, and I need to use bereavement time!) and got home, callled Sister Central and said "What do you need me to do?" Turns out, no one had finished the obit...They had all read what I wrote and loved it and it made them cry (in my book, if my writing can make you cry, then I've achieved success! ) I think they just couldn't. I understand that. So, put on the barest amount of clothes (it was 89), grab the laptop, and head into town on the single busiest day of the year. And it wasn't bad. It was all the women of the family....working and talking and laughing and crying. OH, and of course, eating!

I found the contrast between how women grieve and men grieve interesting. Us women, we get to work! And we yak it up, we laugh, we cry, we talk about taking the gold from Mom's teeth (dude, you know those people at the crematorioum will just pocket it themselves unless we speak up!) and we get thru it together. The men all pursue solitary activities. Interesting.

Anyway, despite having the wrong deadline time and literally having to BEG the obit lady at our paper, I finished a pretty nice obit. Once the paper lady realized the service is today, she nicen-ed up and assured me it would go in this morning's paper.

So, I haven't been getting the sleep and rest I need, I haven't been taking care of myself. Last night, I figured I deserved a treat. So, I gathered sheets,pillows and a blanket, the XM radio, bug spray, mosquito coil, mosquito lamp, and phone, and camped out on the back porch! It's not an enclosed porch, and I found if I put one cushion down under all the other cushions on the wrought iron couch, it was quite comfy. Slept almost the whole night through, woke up at 6:30 to the roosters and sunshine. Very very nice!

Today, as we memorialize Mom, we'll be fighting the Blue Angels! They're in town to do their show, and the timing is unfortunate. They are LOUD! And I always want to run outside and look up....somehow I think Mom would deem that "unladylike" behaviour. As I told my DH, his mom never gave up on trying to make a lady out of me!

OH, yeah, and I found out at work (on Wednesday) that causing a disturbance at a funeral is a misdemeanor. Smart azz that I am, I wanted the lawyers to tell me exactly what constituted a "disturbance", and could I get a pass for a "memorial" instead of a funeral! LOL!

I"ve been reading along all week (Trimm...painting with your sister, can't get much funner than that! NoRose, time to move! JSM, so happy to hear about your gentleman friend! GE, yep, grandkids can do that, especially the teenaged ones. Cookie, I think I want your life, and Northern Rose, I totally want to be your neighbor!) and have to thank you all for making my lunch hours in the library parking lot a laugh riot!

Tevye,I am sending you big hugs!I knew you were in the midst of something.I told my mom yesterday Sister Tevye Bob has been quiet and I was concerned.She never batted and eye....she said "STB will let you know what's up when she can."

I should have kept a journal the past 3/4 days.Hilarious.I would be on daily meds if we were all in the same neighborhood again.I just tried to roll with the short temper and sarcasm.Dad cornered me up and gave me  some secret cash,and said go do something nice for yourself,like quality ear plugs,if I weren't half deaf now I'd need some myself..LMAO
My sister is very loud and chatty.She discovered yesterday it is hard to smoke,paint and text at the same time.I wanted to drop her phone into the paint bucket.She smokes outside so that cut into work time.(rolling eyes)
She looked at me and said she didn't feel like she was accomplishing anything.Pfft.
They got to looking for me yesterday and  found me behind the bed laying in the floor(Painting trim)
Mom never missed a beat...she looks at dad and said"she needs alone time papa,you know she always hid like that as a kid she just had crayons.LMAO
It really was fun,watching everyone.Few more days and we'll be through.I offered to spend the weekend,but my parents needed some "alone" time.Hehehehe.

Tevye - Hugs to you and all the family. What you did is wonderful - the obit writing is sad but cathartic. Hope the Angles (blue and otherwise) give your mother the proper send off!

My sis and I were just saying that Mom will be up in Heaven, telling all the other mothers "Look, my kids arranged such a special service, they even had the Blue Angels do a fly-by!" She loved those guys...she always had an eye for hot guys in uniform!

Trimm I can only say Bless your heart. When you talked about your dad passing you some secret cash just for you to use for you. Made me cry. It reminded me so much of my dad. Hope you get some rest this week end and recharge those batteries.

I agree, Brandi. It seems some well meaning folks are bringing their own experiences into that case and posting speculation as truth. That is just my own gut feeling and I will leave it at that. I think I need a break as well.

So different the the east or the south. I just love what mother nature has created there. Did you go on the sky walk on the North Rim? I couldn't do it.
