I keep getting kicked out of here.  I need to run this by all of you, because this is something that is really bothering me. I ran it by my dad, and my dad had the same reaction as I did.  My daughter's boyfriend as I said is a medic, but what I wasn't aware of because I know nothing at all about war, is that he will be getting a nice sum of money for going over there, my daughter said 50,000 dollars. He wants to pay off all his debt so then when he gets back he will have a clean slate, so when he and my daughter move to Georgia there will be no bills. I ask you, he could get out of this because of his bum knee, but doesn't want to, call me crazy  LOL  but I would figure out another way to pay my bills without stepping foot into that nightmare over there. My dad, gotta love him, says he is just plain nuts, to be doing this. I can't figure this out to save my life.

Oh my.  I don't think 50,000 is worth the risk, I mean think about it he is young, and 50k?..............well IMO that is not a ton when you are young and have the time and potential to pay it off  thru other means, I have to agree with your dad, nuts.

Thank-you that is what I said also, and my husband says if that is all that is going on he thinks it is nuts also. I was even going to offer that we would help him set up some kind of plan to pay off his bills if he would accept our help. But my husband said I should probably mind my own business about that, but when have I minded my own business?  LOL

We never mind our own business.I have seen several young people go into service for the money,or offer of education.It is not worth it,unless you truly are dedicated to that way of life.IMO.I always thought my brother was crazy(which he really was) but he loved the military.It was never about the money.He loved Korea,need I say more?

I guess because I grew up watching the horrors of Vietnam, it left a lasting impression. Also the Cuban Missile Crisis and the fear put into us little kids. And this is what is sad, he doesn't approve of these wars at all, so I ask you, why do this? I'm sure there are many that love the military, I'm sure it is a way of life that some enjoy, I'm not sure why though. I wonder what is in Korea that your brother loved, I really don't know much about those countries over there, but there must have been something. And what really upsets me is the kids that come back and have such mental issues, so very sad and upsetting.

That is so kind of you to consider helping him.  It is to late to start minding your own business that is the way I feel about me anyway, not gonna start now!

I know, and my daughter is just freaking out about all this. I told her this is not in our hands, and what happens, happens, but I don't have a good feeling about this, of course I won't tell her that.

To who ever is driving the monkey airstream come across the BC border and go north on the Cariboo Highway.  Stop at 100 Mile House for coffee then keep heading north, stay on 97 till Dawson Creek, cross the rockies into Alberta, turn right and drive for a while then stick your heads out the windows and listen for the screaming, should take you left, right , left , left and finally right at the moose crossing sign with shotgun holes in it then straight and you will find the place.  Can you get here by 10:00am to help get the pool uncovered?

Good morning everyone. JSM  hope you feel better before boarding the plane, have a good time.  Hope everyone has a good day today. Need to go take a quick bath in an inch of water and get ready for the plumber. Sure hope the plumber looks like the guy in the second picture, but you know he won't. I will be forced to see a portly man with his butt crack showing, that will unfortunately have to be my dream man for the day  LOL

He is McSteamy !!!!!!!  I am so upset the flies are to large for me to download right now. Dang it. I hate having a limit to my downloads. But I sure as he77 would go over if I downloaded them now. Since daughter has to work from my server can't chance going over and being shut down for 24 hours. grrrrrrrr

I'm sorry about that, but to be honest so far it is just love letters and pleasant and insane letters to Casey. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if these people were writing from a mental institution. Though Turbo did mention there are letters from Cindy so that should be an eye opener.
