the Obumbler makes another bonehead move. I'm ticked that he sacked the Gen., but I found this view of it pretty funny. When is the one gonna just go home? Who would have thought it could take only a few months to almost bring this country to its knees? Who would have thought that so many of us would be trying to figure out a way to escape this madness?

Oh, yeah, and show us the damn birth certificate, you bloviating fool!!!! (Maybe it's a good thing I don't have net access yet at work.....)

Ragging rights: Guy's first to get Obama mad
NY Post ^ | June 23, 2010 | Charles Hurt

Posted on Thu Jun 24

WASHINGTON -- Gen. Stanley McChrystal may be dumber than BP's Tony Hayward when it comes to media strategy, and his powers of judgment might rank down there with Lindsay Lohan's.

But you got to hand it to the guy for managing to accomplish one thing nobody has ever been able to do: He genuinely pissed off President Obama.

We are talking snapped anger, the kind where you demand that a four-star general fly halfway around the globe on a dime to face a furious and vengeful war council that he has just insulted in the most public, creative and unkind ways.

A rage on the Richter scale we have never seen before from the professorial "no drama" Obama.

Throughout the financial meltdown and discoveries of bailed-out golden parachutes for expired CEOs, Obama kept his icy cool -- a steady hand on the rudder of mad government spending.

Mission it is so true. So so true to add kindness. This woman that I worked with " directly on a day to day basis and labeled her my Nemesis " and she too reported to the Boss. So did I. I reported directly to him. I did not have a go between Manager. So it was Her and I - or ... We and Him. I was not going to let her take me down. When I know and knew then " I was on my job" - Now if he/Boss said .. this that or the other to me, I was not on my job ..I would correct myself, of course.  That goes without thought.  I did exactly what advise I gave to Carrie. I tried to be nice to her. Not Eddie Haskall " Leave it to Beaver Nice" but I tried to ask her..in my down time..do you need assistance, can I help you out?. To give her a notice that I recognized her etc.
What really slayed me was this " coworker" she suffered a huge loss in her personal life.  She lost her Husband. He passed away from Renal Failure, he was a long suffering diabetic ( all of us knew). Everyone offered their condolences. All Did and she still was bitter and so ugly to everyone. All wanted to offer their heartfelt feelings to her. NO one could grasp her at all. She took a leave of absence when her DH passed away. We were all told the date she was to return. I went out on my own and purchased this little dark chocolate lab bean stuffed " Puppy". Not a beanie baby much smaller. I put it on her monitor of her computer the night before - so she would come in to see it. Never told her it was from me. Never said a word to anyone. She came in and did her morning duty and then she paged me on the over head. I went to her desk thinking ..oh crud. I went to her desk ..she ignored me for 30 seconds.
I stood there. I was invisible. I just like every other time I had to stand next to her desk. She looked at me and didn't say anything .. not one word. She grabbed the puppy and held it to her chest and ..and she said right to me - Go back to work.

Mission " Some people" you will just never understand. Acts and offerings of kindness though .. I think go a long long way.. Never to be " measured" by the giver, but truly felt by the receiver.

Deenie what a heartfelt gesture on your part.  You are right about the acts of kindness and by her "gesture" alone holding the puppy to her chest it said more than words ever could.  Thank you for sharing such a lovely memory.

Today's installment of As No Rose's World Turns.  What did No Rose do when she heard dripping coming out of the ceiling hole? When she ran upstairs and told Mr No Rose stop the shower now, what was Mr No Rose's reaction standing there covered in soap? After figuring it was the shower part, and not the tub part that was leaking, how did No Rose get clean in an inch of tub water? What will happen when Mr No Rose calls their maintanence policy that they have been paying since March? Will everything go good, will it be another disaster? What will be No Rose's reaction this evening when CNN does a documentary tonight Gary and Tony have a baby? Will she keep calm, will she break the TV?  Stay tuned.

Trying hard as heck to catch up, just wanted to agree with Mission No Rose, you would never hurt a soul (even a lizard) and I feel your pain going through what you did as a child. I still have serious issues with my weight (not that I am overweight, just I think they call it body dysmorphic disorder). Even if I weighed 108 pounds I would still think I am fat and it came from the teasing I received as a child. Just wanted to give you a hug and will catch up in a quick post to everyone else in a minute. Hugs

NRCG  am sorry your sanding got carried away. Stuff happens to the best of us. Like Mission said it's fixable. Have some Baileys and relax. ((( HUGS)))
Get ready for this, my husband says it is a good thing you did this, so now we can get it done the right way. We have a call in for a repair man that does this kind of work, the lady that my husband car pools with says he does a great job.
Now that is great news!  It happened for a reason.

Whew here it comes ...... The Lightening in the sky ..

Flashing bright white/blue through my windows .. Weather said this early am - to expect " Storms" in my area throughout the day. Never saw anything till just now.

Waiting ..for the Leprechauns to start bowling ..... its been very strange today, humid dreary this am, hot and moisture felt *which is not normal, and then bright Sunny after 7pm ..now its " Grinding UP" at 10 pm... what Mother nature has brewing on her stove .. I don't have a clue.
I guess I will find out soon enough.

Hope all Monkeys are Safe - if they are in the pathways of " Weather" to be strange - seems it is to be ..just that ..no warning.  Nature at its finest.

Hope you weathered the storm safely Deenie.
