van der Sloot...how long will justice take?

http://tinyurl.com/2boyqee

Birmingham, Al  (WIAT)  It could take years to unravel the multiple mysteries of Joran van der Sloot and the women alleged to be his victims.

Joran van der Sloot sits in a Peruvian prison charged with the murder of 21 year old student Stephany Flores in a Lima casino hotel.  He's the prime suspect in the disappearance of Mountain Brook teenager Natalee Holloway on a graduation trip to Aruba five long years ago.  In a macabre note, Flores was murdered five years to the day of Holloway's disappearance.  Her last confirmed sighting?  With van der Sloot in an Aruban casino.

So what's taking so long to achieve more than speculation?  You have multiple countries, multiple jurisdictions.  Van der Sloots a Dutch citizen living in Aruba suspected of crimes involving Peruvian and American citizens.  He was arrested in Chile and has recently been indicted by Federal officials in Birmingham of wire fraud and extortion for allegedly taking money from the Holloway family for information about Natalee...and then providing no information.  More on extortion indictment.

The tale of meandering delays begins back in Aruba.   Van der Sloot's lawyer/father...now deceased...ran very effective legal interference for his son with the Aruban police and prosecutors.  Although questioned many times, Joran has never been charged in Natalee's disappearance.

In the Peruvian case, van der Sloot has tried...and is trying again...to get his confession thrown out claiming everything from coercion to not having an interpreter.  Both those appeals have been rejected.  Now van der Sloot is claiming he didn't have a legal and competent lawyer while all that was happening.  More on appeals

Van der Sloot's current lawyer has already conceded a strategy of "paralyzing the process".   He has vowed to take the case all the way to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.  More on "paralyze the process"

WakeUp Alabama legal analyst Holly Clemente takes a look at what that could mean.

Joran Van der Sloot, In the End Justice Will be Served for Natalee Holloway & Stephany Flores, Does it Matter How Long?

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2010/07/05/joran-van-der-sloot-in-the-end-justice-will-be-served-for-natalee-holloway-stephany-flores-does-it-matter-how-long/

JUSTICE SHALL BE SERVED!!!

Quote
Local CBS Birmingham, Alabama TV 42 ran a story regarding how long justice will take in the case of Joran Van der Sloot. The question that needs top be asked is, what difference does it make how long it takes to hold Joran Van der Sloot accountable for the crimes against Natalee Holloway in Aruba and Stephany Flores in Peru? As long as JUSTICE is served!

For the many who have followed the disappearance and death of Natalee Holloway since 2005, they have already waited 5+ years for justice for Natalee. The family of Natalee Holloway has also been through 5+ agonizing, roller coaster years dealing with the cover-up, deceit, corruption on cronyism in Aruba and the lies, confessions, retractions and sociopath game playing of Joran Van der Sloot.

Joran Van der Sloot has been arrested multiple times, been interrogated on many occasions and confessed too many times to keep count, only to be not formerly prosecuted by Aruban legal authorities because as they claim, he lies. Well no kidding folks, the sun also rises in the East, what difference does that make? Aruba has been dodging their responsibility in the case of the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway since she first went missing. As Scared Monkeys initially wrote when the Alabama teen went missing, “This Can’t Be Good For Tourism, Where’s Natalee Holloway.” When a Caribbean island is so dependent upon tourism, it was obvious from the start that they would do every thing possible to downplay the event. Of course what Aruba never imagined or counted on was the determination of Beth Holloway who was a one woman wrecking crew in Aruba and for their tourism PR looking for answers as to what happened to her daughter.

you know I dont understand the media  seeking killers like vandersloot and his family and casey and her family!!
these people are strangers to the truth. geez what do we learn from their interviews nothing more more spin off of lies and deception. they might as well take all that money they are paying for interviews and flush it down the toilet for all its worth.

for five years we have wondered if we would ever see justice for natalee!! and lo and behold he is caught in peru for murder. I think it's easy for us to loose sight of   justice due to all the  things that joran is doing along with his attorneys. I realy do think justice will prevail. He is in the hands of peru and they have jurisdiction. Joe taco is only getting notoriety for himself. He couldnt resist he is like joran in some ways he loves to be in the lime light. Only difference is that after he is sent to serve his sentence the tacos of this world will fade into the sunset and we wont hear anymore from joe taco or joran. than and only than will reality hit him bullseye. just my opinion.

Joran van der Sloot in the AD gets three lawyers assigned by Peru. Among them is Joe Taco Pina, the former lawyer for Michael Jackson. He was exonerated of allegations the pop star of child abuse.

The Peruvian newspaper Peru 21 says that Joran is defended by several lawyers to go to any appearance of foreign law to prevent inequality. They go for acquittal.

Taco Pina says that there may be someone else involved in the murder of Stephany Flores. He also finds that it lasted long before she was found.

Joran van der Sloot will get the same lawyer as Michael Jackson

Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch young man who is suspected of the murder of Stephany Flores, during his trial will count on three lawyers. One of them was Joseph Pina Taco, the lawyer who in 2005 succeeded Michael Jackson to whitewash allegations of child abuse.

In September the trial began in Peru Joran van der Sloot. Taco Pina had already referred the lawyer of Van der Sloot in the case of Natalee Holloway. The disappearance of the girl was never solved. Joran father, lawyer Paul Van der Sloot, would in 2005 have contributed to the disappearance of Natalee's body.

Fair trial guarantee
With the appointment of three lawyers to the authorities in Peru to avoid any suspicion of legal inequality.

The three-man team of lawyers for Joran, in addition to Taco Pina another Peruvian and a foreigner count. The former lawyer of Joran van der Sloot, Maximo Altez, said last month that he stopped the case because his "family would have many problems."

According Altez is possible that in the case of Stephany Flores third person in the game and even that option would be Altez too little investigated. The new three-man team aims to lawyers for Joran acquittal.

Loca, unfortunately for ratings.  It seems to be working if they keep putting them on.  Look at some/most of us who watch, just to see the lies, to tear them apart or to find any spec of something new.  It's all about the bottom line.   It's so sad that there are hundreds and thousands of missing out there, but only a few are considered newsworthy and money makers, when each and every one of them are just as precsious as those lucky enough to make the news.  It's pathetic,  but I admit, we are drawn in too, just to get what info we can, even when we know it's all lies.  We need to quit watching, along with the petition.  Actions speak louder than words.

The ongoing and never ending Saga of Joran Vandersloot.

Beth  and Dave will never have real answers or find Natalee.

The Flores family will never see true justice for their daughter Stephanie.

All the people that are working this case are caught up in the drama like it is a T.V. reality show.

Sad.
I'm certainly not throwing in the towel just because Joran has hired an attorney. I'm VERY confident the Flores family will see justice -- and soon. While I am less confident Beth and Dave will see the same -- I DO feel better about it than I did a month or so ago.

Beth and Dave will see justice through the murder of Stephany.  It is not the way they wanted it but the world now knows what they have been saying for the past five years was the truth.  There were people doubting and trying to misinform what happened to Natalee.  Stephany's murder opened the eyes of the world of what this monster was capable of.

We all knew but now the world is convinced.

put him in general  population and see how long it takes for justice to prevail. I think transferring to gp at lurigancho is all it takes.

I agree.  Once they get him in GP what is he going to do then.

I was so hopeful that he was going to actually be able to do something about this whole mess.  But I think in the end the Parliament was more concerned with corruption as far as funds go than the cronyism that allowed the investigation into Natalee's disappearance to be foiled.  The Netherlands can't even get Aruba to account for all the money they give them and in the end I think this was the prime concern of the others in Parliament.  Just the impression I got; I have no proof of that.

But I had not thought of him since Joran murdered again.  He must feel as totally vindicated as we do now.  I bet he has said "I told you so" a few times lately.

.
Hero Brinkman meant well but he's been into a bit of trouble lately.
Although his party did well in the recent elections he got into trouble with the PVV party leader, his position in parliament is secure but his position in the party is feeble. I'm not sure he will be the spokesperson on the dutch antilles anymore.

Also he ran into trouble with the law by assaulting a barman while intoxicated and had a row with a tenant that escalated after which he was told by LE to lay low or face repercussions.

Joe Tacopina in advocatenteam Joran
5 Jul, 2010, 12:50 (GMT -04:00)

Afpersing

Joe Bar Team Taco Pina in Joran (LOL)

Email this article
Print this article

ORANGE CITY / LIMA - The U.S. attorney Joe Taco Pina will defend Joran van der Sloot. He is part of a three-man team of criminal lawyers who will work for acquittal of the murder suspect.

The team will replace the current attorney Altez Maximo, who indicated earlier withdrew from the case to withdraw. That reported the Peruvian newspaper Peru21. According to the newspaper to the Peruvian authorities with this expanded defense all semblance of law to avoid inequality. Taco Pina was an acquaintance of the suspect. In 2006 he defended Joran and his father, Paul van der Sloot in a civil case was brought by the parents of Natalee Holloway. The American criminal lawyer, however, was best known for the notorious child abuse case against the deceased pop star Michael Jackson. He knew the singer in 2005 to exonerate.

Joran is currently in custody in the Castro Castro prison in Peru. He is suspected of the robbery on 21-year-old Peruvian Stephany Flores on May 30, exactly five years after the disappearance of Natalee. Should he be convicted, it is a sentence of up to 35 years over the head. The 22-year-old Dutchman has announced the murder, but wants to be declared invalid confession. He would not provide adequate defense and also threatened by the police. The lawyer who was present when the confession is not allocated by the state but by an unknown payment. It says at least Altez, the current attorney of Joran, against American news channel Fox News. The murder suspect complains that lawyer, Luz Romero Chinchay then too. The police chief who led the hearing, has been indicted. A judge has declared admissible if the confession. The suspect goes against this appeal.

Extortion
Joran last week in the United States formally charged with extortion by Beth Holloway, mother of missing Natalee in 2005. He is indicted for extortion of $ 250,000 and to commit wire fraud. Joran would be in exchange for the money the location of Natalee's body to identify and tell what really happened. He received $ 15,000, but then with the money to Peru.

I know it mentions the murder elsewhere in that article but I can't help but think that this is an attempt to make it appear Joran is only officially charged with ROBBERY.

Everything they do just irritates me to no end.

ARUBA: It's all about Natalee...we won't give up!

« Reply #1354 on: July 05, 2010, 04:53:47 PM »

Hero Brinkman meant well but he's been into a bit of trouble lately.
Although his party did well in the recent elections he got into trouble with the PVV party leader, his position in parliament is secure but his position in the party is feeble. I'm not sure he will be the spokesperson on the dutch antilles anymore.

Also he ran into trouble with the law by assaulting a barman while intoxicated and had a row with a tenant that escalated after which he was told by LE to lay low or face repercussions.

I feel confident that Hero Brinkman is not the first or will be the last MP to drink too much and cause a scene.  And I further feel confident that much worse things have been done by MP's that we've not read about in the news.  In the articles I read about the bar incident Brinkman admitted his wrong and apologized for his behavior.

From memory, since about 2007 Hero Brinkman has clearly voiced his concerns about the corruption in Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles as a whole.  If you follow the news as I have for Aruba especially for a few years now, it is evident that his concerns are legitimate.  How that corruption allowed for the coverup in the case of Natalee Holloway is clearly evident also.  Hero Brinkman saw it, knew it was so, and wasn't afraid to speak up about it.

Although by the request of Ank Bijleveld-Schouten, an investigation of Jan van der Straten and his involvement in the investigation of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway supposedly took place in Aruba;  the results of that investigation have never been made public, even though it was reported complete over eight months ago.  In the meantime Jan van der Straten has been appointed to two government related positions in Aruba.  Why no one in the Dutch Parliament has questioned this is beyond me.

Hero Brinkman shouldn't be the ONLY one concerned about that!

And don't even get me started on Remkes, lol.

You know, I think Jimmy Buffet had it right a long time ago.

First you learn the native customs
Soon a word of Spanish or two
But you know that you cannot trust them
Cause they know they can't trust you

Expatriated Americans feeling so all alone
Telling themselves the same lies
That they told themselves back home
Down to the Banana Republic things aren't as warm as they seem
When none of the natives are buying any second hand American dreams

You have to give Joran credit. He found a way to travel extensively without it costing him a dime.

Klaas, it's time to turn words into action once again.  Let's get a petition for everyone here to sign, a petition that can be circulated to all our friends, a bulk e-mail so that we can sign saying we will boycott any products or any networks who pay any vdSloot attorney or who knowingly interview the attorneys or the mother of Joran, his brothers, any "reporters" or newspaper employees in Aruba, who are doing the bidding for Joran.  Let's get a petition and circulate it, and pass it along to the media outlets.  IT IS IMPERATIVE that we do this for Natalee and for Stephany and those unnamed Oriental and South American girls who have not had a voice on their behalf.

I think that's a great idea, Tyler.  Just not sure exactly how to do it.  And we know they will go for the almighty ratings.  How to get them to listen to us instead???  If they had any morals they wouldn't be paying these people in the first place.

Melody and Anita just made more than they ever thought to have at one tinme in their lives, I am sure.  And now Joran has this idea he will get a million.

Someone else posted they think Joran killed Stephany in part for the media attention and I tend to agree that this was part of it--among other things like his being flat broke.  But I think he did this on the anniversary date of killing Natalee for the media attention, thinking he'd figure out a way to evade punishement.

I don't think Joran actually realizes it took a lot of people covering for him for him to have evaded before.  He actually thinks he committed the perfect crime.  He is too stupid to have realized he couldn't have gotten away with anything without the help of a whole corrupt little island
.
I agree completely!

There is a corrupted group in the Netherlands .. It is not just little Aruba..
Aruba only exists for the purpose of money laundering and tax havens for extreme rich and within that group corruption exists. They are protecting Joran, even today.
BUT I agree Joran did this for financial gain and he feels he is smart enough and connected well enough to get a minimum sentence or completely free.
Like Beth said..It runs all the way to the Hauge. It actually goes further then the Hauge.
It is a hopeless situation because people can not come to turns with it. Joran knows that and plays on it.

"F" ing corrupt United Nations which should Bush should have bombed and said, "oops" when he was POTUS.
