Back to the lovelorn astronaut... she SAID her diapers were for the trip. Evidently there was a package of them in the car. They were part of a "checklist" of items (which was recovered in her handwriting) that included a mallet and rubber hose. Rather strange toiletries list for a trip.

Sounds like Nowak was getting her ideas from the Jack Bauer School of Interrogative Sciences.

GHB overdose

Concurrent use of alcohol or other CNS depressants is common in GHB overdose.
People typically regain consciousness spontaneously within five hours of taking GHB.

Also very strange that after the Dutch reinactment, GVC is arrested.  Wasn't it reported that Joran & GVC had been in contact and their phone calls were being monitored?  Why would Joran being calling GVC is he reportedly doen't know who he is?  I think that them not being acquaintances is a bunch of hooey.  Joran would know the Dutch kids on the island, especially if GVC was a rival for pcking up chicks.

GVC worked at the beach.  In Lee Broughtons 302 she states that Natalee met Joran on the beach that day before the casino events occurred.  Could she have Joran and GVC confused.  She also spoke of a heavy set tropical looking male being around that night.  Could that have been Jerry Steve Croes friend and not Dos Santos?

Why would the Gottenbos allow Sander to make a statement, but not allow Koen to?  What was Koen so afraid of that he slept with his Mommy and did a barrel roll across the floor when the HT drove by?

I think Koen made a statement and that's why Flannigan suspected him.  One statement was enough, then I think dad stepped in (on advice of PVDS).

I have been under the impression that Koen never made a statement, his Father spoke for him.  This is why Flannegin quit b/c the prosecutor refused to push the issue of interrogating Koen.

I'm pretty sure he was also a friend of Joran's, just not a good friend.

Yes I remember Dave writing in his book that he saw M dompig at the HI pressuring a couple of tourists girls to go with him. Then when M D saw that he noticed he came over to him......

You see, IF Sander was there that night, and somehow Natalee gets ahold of his phone, forcing him to say it was "stolen", he is in it up to the hilt... as much so as Koen would be if he "drove the boat".

It's an either-or thing. Either Sander is only incidental, or he is involved up to the eyeballs.

I am assuming the elder Gottenbos would know if a call came from Sander's phone. IF one did, Sander most certainly would have been placed under tight wraps too.
