Pilot fined

A pilot from Mexico was fined, because he ‘forgot’ to report to Customs that he was carrying 20.000 dollars in cash when he arrived in Aruba.

ORANJESTAD – The pilot of a private airplane coming from Cancun, Mexico was fined for not reporting carrying a huge amount of cash (20.000 dollars) with him when he arrived in Aruba.  

The pilot was caught when he was transferring suitcases to another airplane that was going to the Venezuelan Isla Margarita.  He was doing this without the authorization of the Customs Department.  The pilot said that a ground-handler had given him permission and that it was not necessary to inform the authorities.  When Customs asked him whether he had anything to declare, he said no.

While checking the suitcases, they turned out containing a huge amount of money.   Customs then decided to check both airplanes thoroughly.  The pilot then declared that he needed the money to pay airport fees and fuel.  He was allowed to leave after he had paid the 550 dollars fine.

The Custom Department announces that everybody that enters Aruba and carry with them more than 20.000 florins in cash has to declare that.  Anybody that does not comply with these rules will be punished with confiscation, imprisonment of maximum 4 years, or a maximum of 100.000 florins fine.

I have tried to keep my comments less strong,but I have a small rant and some questions;1-If ghb lasts 5 hrs.,this would make the time match jacobs statement,2-Why did Natalee's not work as well,3-Why do we keep saying Natalee approached joran and gave him a belly shot?Did the MB students say  that or joe?4-gvc is known to be add,and aggresive in groping girls,but did he have a history of violence.5-Why did Natalee's friend so violently ill,a drug or to much alcohol.6-Is the reason that attacks always happened on the last night,so the victems only had time to leave.I still think joran killed her and guido,koen,gvc,paulus freddy were involved.Were any of joran's brothers presant. a curious cat

Hey Kat-Gram,I enjoy throwing the boiling water in air when its that cold.I love the picture brother in law had of a dog frozen to a hydrant.There are few facts that don't connect,but I will wait.I hope,pray and look forward to a trial.In the Netherlands,they have had this happen to their young women many times and they get justice,not equity.I really feel that most the dutch-arubans can feel guilt,but I doubt joran can.CAT

Depends upon how they are banned.  In the recent case YES, they can still read.

Know what gets me is that they are making a big deal over $28,000.  That is like $28.00 to the Sloots.  They don't care weather they win or lose.  They got what they wanted and that was the coverup.  How expensive was the coverup.

San, I did an estimate a few months ago and came up with the figure $600 million including the loss of the Ritz Carlton.

Add in about 50 million more since my earlier estimate.

I know the Diberardo cartoon was hashed out long ago....it was published 6/7/05, a week & one day after Natalee disappeared.  How would he have details as to suspects or witnesses....just by news reports????  Did he draw it a little at a time, or in one sitting???  Still seems peculiar to me that a Canadian artist pulled that together...wondering now, if he was on the island.

BTW. I heard on the news earlier that Dahmer is not considered a suspect now in the Walsh case.
