Casey's Parents Save Home From Foreclosure

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's parents saved their home from foreclosure Wednesday and it only took them a few months to obtain the same loan modification that other homeowners have pursued for years.

The Anthonys’ attorney said he thinks it’s because both parties wanted to keep the case out of court; if it went to court, it would have created a media frenzy.

For the past couple of months, people who live near the Anthony family thought their neighbors were going to move, but last month a new deal was made and now the Anthonys are going to be able to keep their home. Bank of America modified their loan.

“This foreclosure was one of the fastest ones I handled,” Attorney Mark Lippman told WFTV.

Lippman, who represents the Anthonys, said it only took four months to settle the issue. They qualified for the federal program called Making Homes Affordable.

Bank of America started the foreclosure process in February. Documents show the Anthonys bought the home for almost $91,000 in 1991, but now owe more than $115,000.

Cindy is on disability and George lost his job. Lipton would not tell WFTV the amount of the new mortgage payment, but said it is 31 percent of their anticipated income.

“It was reduced to what they can afford,” Lippman said.
Ana Biascoechea also lives in east Orange County. When she learned about the Anthonys’ new settlement, she wasn't too happy. She has been trying to modify her loan through Bank of America for more than a year. WFTV found some cases can take up to two years.

“We are all in the same predicament as they are. Why should they get preferential treatment?” Biascoechea asked.

Lippman disagrees, but says both sides wanted to avoid a media circus.

“I think it was addressed because Bank of America and myself wanted to get this done without exposing this to the press,” he said.

A Bank of America spokesperson said the Anthonys got their loan modification within a normal period of time. When WFTV asked about the other woman's loan, the spokesperson never returned the call.

How can they keep two cars on the road, while not paying their mortgage!? 
They are despicable - con artists - a pair deserving of one another - but their day of reckoning is coming.  Sooner rather than later, I hope!

I don't think there is a "Baez" family anymore. I think she left him a long time ago. I believe that is why he lost the wedding ring and had the 2 "roomies"........

no surprise...we knew sin-cin would be putting money in....gotta keep up that unified appearance.....

the article below that says the new mortgage will represent 31% of the A=s anticipated income and says sin-cin is on disability and georgieboy is still unemployed......

so they can re-negotiate and obtain a lower mortgage on anticipated income....WTF????  Did they show the mortgage company ma contract for books, movies etc?  Is that the anticipated income?? BULLCRAP!!  I hope everyone in Orlando that is in foreclosure and near foreclosure is able to use this information to their advantage.  When in the hell so these azzwipes STOP GETTING SPECIAL TREATMENT?????

well geez Bozo! my house isn't what it was worth a few years ago either and I am trying to sell it at a price that is far less than it was worth a few years ago...But I still pay my bills on it!! I think that a lot of folks have found that their homes have lost value recently but doesn't mean that you don't pay your darn mortgage! Anthonys too!!! pay your damn bills! get off your butts and work like other folks who have a home to maintain! grrrrrr....no reason that those 2 idiots aren't working imo...

Pressure Mounts On Jose Baez

That blog says what we have been saying all along.............That family will implode and it is COMING.

He is FOS his personal affairs are "just that." If those "personal affairs" conflict with his duties as a sworn officer of the court and member of the FBA, they are very relative.

Didn't this home purchase coincide with his representation of an elected official of some kind?
