ITA, they responded like true professionals. They didn't take the opportunity to take a pot shot at the Baez team or even Casey. Nice to see for once.

Casey's lawyers depose Kronk again

ORLANDO --

The man who found Caylee Anthony's remains says despite all he's been through, he'd do it all over again if he had to.

But Roy Kronk said not all things are looking good for the former Orange County meter reader.

He said he just wants his life back.

On Friday, after Round 2 of questioning by Casey Anthony's defense, Kronk maintains he was using the restroom when he found Caylee's remains.
 
For the first time, he's responding to allegations he's abused his wife, and told family members before he discovered the remains, he was going to be on TV.

"Of anybody involved in this mess, he's going to be one guy who's going to come out with his reputation intact and his dignity intact," David Evans, Kronk’s attorney.

However, Kronk said his name and reputation have been pulled through the mud.

"It’s been very difficult for me,” Kronk said. “That's all I'll say. There's been some horrible things said about me. Said I was a child predator, child molester all this other stuff and some people believe it."

This all surfaced after Kronk’s ex-wives came out and said he was abusive, threatened to kill them, restrained them with duct tape, and said he shouldn't be around young girls.
He’s got problems with past spouses and family members,” Evans said. “There's no secret about that. I think probably some of these people are looking for 15 minutes of fame or doing it out of malice with intent to be harmful to Roy."

The release of the interviews was a move the defense took to show Kronk should have been investigated for Caylee's murder, and that there's just as much circumstantial evidence pointing to Kronk as there is Anthony.

"Anything that we're trying to do here would be focusing on establishing reasonable doubt on various aspects of the case," said Cheney Mason, one of Anthony’s lawyers.

The defense finished questioning Kronk around lunchtime.

 Kronk said he is still struggling to find work

Both sides will meet again. They'll have to go in front of Judge Perry to see if the defense can bring up Kronk's alleged past.

It'll be a critical hearing for the defense as they try to point the finger at someone else other than Casey.

I am not sure....but I hope someone saw that and offers him a job!!  Unlike the A[s he is not unemployed because he wanted to be.

It seems like any GOOD people that are touched by the A's are cursed....look at the people who's lives have been adversely affected because.....they have the kiss of death surrounding the,....when people see them thy should turn around and run as fast as they can

How did it go for Roy Kronk today?

Casey Anthony’s defense team was very polite during a two and a half deposition, Kronk told WESH-Ch. 2’s Bob Kealing. Kronk is the former meter reader who found Caylee Anthony’s remains.

Kronk said he would do it all over again. ”Doing the right thing is its own reward,” Kronk told reporters.

Kealing noted that Anthony’s defense team “slipped away without answering more questions about how today’s deposition went.” Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.  WOFL-Ch. 35’s Holly Bristow said the defense had not returned her calls for comment on the deposition.

Before the deposition, Anthony defense attorney Cheney Mason said the team was “focusing on establishing reasonable doubt for various aspects of the case.”

WFTV-Ch. 9 anchor Bob Opsahl highlighted that Kronk is a key prosecution witness and the defense wants to discredit him.

Even as he talked about doing the right thing, Kronk acknowledged that he has faced terrible pressure and that “some horrible things” have been said about him on blogs. “It’s just been very difficult for me. It’s hard for me to go anywhere without being recognized,” Kronk said.

Kronk told Bristow he needed to relieve himself that day he stumbled across Caylee’s remains. Kronk said, “The thing about that [meter reader] job is that you can’t go up and knock on a citizen’s door and go, ‘Hi, I’m with Orange County. Can I borrow your bathroom?”

David Evans, Kronk’s attorney, flatly denied an allegation by Kronk’s ex-wife that he restrained her with duct tape.

WFTV’s Kathi Belich said, “The defense wants people to believe Kronk, who had no connection to Caylee when she was alive, murdered her, then — instead of keeping quiet to stay in the clear — brought attention to himself by calling law enforcement with the claim that he just found her.”
Belich asked Kronk and his attorney, David Evans, if that theory made sense.

“Of course it doesn’t make any sense,” Evans said. “That’ll be their burden … if they ever get an opportunity to try to convince a jury of this, have at it.”

Evans predicted his client will come through the ordeal ordeal with his reputation and dignity.

WFTV reported the defense canceled today’s deposition with former Anthony fiance Jesse Grund and rescheduled it to Aug. 11.

WESH and WOFL also turned to Jose Baez’s thoughts about the coverage that his home is in foreclosure. “I’ll tell you the rest of my problems, if you’re all interested,” he said. Evidently it was a joke, although he said it wearily.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's defense team questioned former meter reader Roy Kronk for the second time for several hours on Friday.

Kronk discovered Caylee Anthony's remains in a wooded area in East Orange County in December 2008.

"There's been some horrible things said about me on blogs. Said I was a child predator, a child molester, all this other stuff. Some people believe it. I have no criminal background . I've done no harm to no one," Kronk said.

Kronk said ever since Anthony's defense team obtained tapes of his ex-wives attacking his character, he has become a target of suspicion.

"He probably was the one who may have murdered Caylee Anthony or had something to do with it," Kronk's ex-wife said in a previously released recording.

During Friday's depositions, Anthony's lawyers grilled Kronk about the day he found the toddler's body, as well as four months earlier when Kronk called 911 to report a suspicious item he found in the woods. A deputy, who was later fired for lying, claimed he searched the woods and found nothing.

"There's a lot of statements we're concerned about and we're hoping Mr. Kronk will tell the truth," defense attorney Jose Baez said.
He said he knew where the body was and he was going to get it when the water went down," Kronk's ex-wife Crystal Sparks said.

The defense has suggested that Kronk may have played a role in Caylee's disappearance, a theory Kronk's lawyer said has no basis in fact.

Kronk said he has no regrets about finding Caylee and he would do it all over again.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in Caylee's death. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.
