One quick additional comment.
I would fully admit if I knew these people.
I do not know any of them.
I have only been following this case along with the rest of the Monkeys.

~Peace
I am sorry you are having a hard day, I do know how you feel after finding Caylee not alive I had to back off and just follow the cases at a distance.  I hope you feel better soon...... an angelic monkey

This is so true.  These cases can be sooo very sad, sometimes emotions run high, and to protect our emotional health it's good to take a bit of a break sometimes.  Then we can come back, feeling stronger.

And if that doesn't help, this might:

What?  DeDe was attending a landscape class, and she forgot her cell phone!  What happened to the story that she was working and left suddenly and then couldn't be reached?

They changed the photo again on the Terri Horman support Facebook.  This particular photo of Terri gives me the creeps:

heh .. not gonna mention the quality of the artwork. Nope. Not me.

And that look on her face is creepy!

It's similar to this look on her wedding day:

You know what Terri Horman has taught me?  You can go from normal looking to what I consider freaky body builder muscles, to frumpy is a very short period of time    Maybe there's hope for me yet

Now if we could just get her to talk

DeDe Spicher, a close friend of Kyron’s stepmother,Terri Horman, was asked to testify before the grand jury last week but never actually spoke to jurors.

Sources have said Terri and DeDe have not been able to account for an hour and a half to two hours on the morning of June 4.

I wonder who these "sources" are.

Me too!!!  Doesn't it seem that there are an unusual amount of 'sources'??

I want 'sources'.   Rolling Eyes

Same question I have also.

Where are you Kyron?

« Reply #287 on: August 02, 2010, 08:41:15 PM »

Can I ask a question, why are we doing a roll call on if someone knows or is in contact with a person involved in this case? I am not following the reason.

As I said, I would love to speak to any of the main players in this case, even Terri. Can you imagine? I would love to hear her side of the story. Me and about a million other people
I have no idea at all.

Sassifrass posted a quote that someone at Terri's support site had said there were friends and supporters of Terri at Scared Monkeys, so Lifesong asked us if any of us were.

IMO this got blown way out of proportion. I posted a link from that site and too many people took it literally. It boggles my mind    how one little quote from there can create such a stir. You have to look at the source (meaning that site). They are pulling any and all info from sites that make TH look innocent. We should just move on from it, and believe me when I say, I will NEVER post a quote from that site again.

I believe it was one of those community gardens.  I have the name someplace of where I think it was, now I'll have to find it.

I appreciate your friendship so much also   an angelic monkey      If DeDe is forced to talk, she would be granted immunity under Oregon law. That is interesting. And I wonder if DeDe's cousin if what he is saying is true, if DeDe when she moved into the house with Terri, and became suspicious if she did get any info from her? Also when she moved out if they were still speaking? I read on here somewhere that they are no longer speaking to each other.

Well, seems to me if DeDe is granted immunity, there must be good reason, and she'd then have no reason not to talk up a storm, yanno?  Seems if she still didn't talk, then I'd be grabbing rotten tomaters from her compost piles and tossing em at her til she did.

Seems that if what her cuz Tom said is true, that if at some point DeDe became like a double agent, trying for more info from Terri, that may be why she may be asking for immunity in exchange for whatever info she may have gotten.  LE may not have known what DeDe was doing ahead of time, (if that's what she did), and it very likely may have been a dangerous thing for DeDe to do.  Who knows, until we find out whatever it was.  Yet if all that is true, may very likely be why she was talking with Terri at some point, then stopped.

Not sure exactly when she stopped talking to Terri.  If that was before/after LE talked with DeDe.  And before/after she talked with her daddy and lawyered up.  Can sure understand the silence between lawyering up and realizing she may be headed to the GJ and asking for immunity.

Did any of that make sense?  lol  hmmm..  more of this --->

I posted this question for Jonesr at GLP.

Jonesr, please note.  There is a discrepancy in the stories about where DeDe was on June 4.

The following excerpt is from an article in the Oregon Live.

"Detectives learned that Spicher, who shares Terri Horman's passion for fitness and gardening, was doing gardening work for a Northwest Portland homeowner on June 4. She abruptly left the house about 11:30 a.m. and didn't return until an hour to 90 minutes later.

This is a video from today.

Friends of Dede Spicher said she was attending a landscaping class that day and forgot her cell phone.

Do you have any idea which of those stories is the correct one?

Kyron’s parents testify before grand jury
 Share

By Thom Jensen KATU News and KATU.com Staff

Story Published: Aug 2, 2010 at 4:38 PM PDT

TIP LINE - (503) 261-2847

PORTLAND, Ore. - The parents of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman testified before a grand jury Monday afternoon, according to a source at the Multnomah County Courthouse.

Kyron’s mother, Desiree Young, and his stepfather, Tony Young, left the Multnomah County Courthouse out a side door following their testimony and were escorted by sheriff’s deputies.

They said nothing and left in an unmarked car.

Kyron’s father, Kaine Horman, left separately after more than three hours of speaking with jurors. He also had no comment.

DeDe Spicher, a close friend of Kyron’s stepmother,Terri Horman, was asked to testify before the grand jury last week but never actually spoke to jurors.

Sources have said Terri and DeDe have not been able to account for an hour and a half to two hours on the morning of June 4.

Neither Terri Horman nor DeDe Spicher have been charged with any crimes or named suspects in the case, but the family has said they believe Terri was involved in Kyron’s disappearance and that DeDe knows something.

Last Friday Desiree Young made a plea for anyone who knows Terri or DeDe to come forward.

“They need to come forward even if they have nothing, even if they have something small, they need to come forward because it could be the smallest piece that helps solve it,” she said. “If they know them or have talked to them ever, they need to come forward and just share what they know.”

KATU News has been told that Spicher is now talking to detectives but it is unknown if she will be called back to testify before jurors.

If she is forced to talk, she would be granted immunity under Oregon law.

The grand jury in this case could hear testimony for weeks or months and it could also hand off the case to a new grand jury. Experts say testimony usually wraps up within a couple of weeks and the process of getting answers and a possible indictment in the case is moving forward.

“It’s clear that the district attorney, who is the legal adviser to the grand jury, is now confident enough to start this process. Hopefully, that will lead to an indictment,” said Bruce McCain, an attorney and former Multnomah County sheriff’s captain.

“They (Kyron’s parents) are probably going to be the first in a long list of civilian witnesses who will be joining the investigators and boxes and boxes of evidence in this process,” he said.

The district attorney’s office won’t confirm how long the grand jury has been seated or how long it expects jurors to hear testimony.

I am pleased.

As long as DeDe was only involved in assisting Terri in covering up wrongdoing committed against the person of Kyron ... I believe that immunity from prosecution in exchange for the truth is a necessary compromise.

Janet
