I haven't found the scorpion. Have only seen one other one since we have lived here.

POWER OUTAGE
At my recent assault trial, I offered a plea of "Guilty with an
explanation." The judge asked me what my explanation was, so I told my
story.

"Your Honour," I said, "I had a mammogram appointment, which I actually
kept. I was met with: 'Hi! I'm Belinda!' This perky clipboard carrier
smiled from ear to ear, tilted her head to one side and crooned, 'All I
need you to do is step into this room right here, strip to the waist, then
slip on this gown. Everything clear?' I'm thinking, 'Belinda, try decaf.
This ain't rocket science.' Belinda skipped away to prepare the chamber of
horrors. With the right side finished, Belinda flipped me (literally) to
the left and said, 'Hmmmm. Can you stand on your tippy toes and lean in a
tad so we can get everything?' 'Fine', I answered. I was freezing,
bruised, and out of air, so why not use the remaining circulation in my
legs and neck and finish me off? My body was in a holding pattern that
defied gravity (with my other breast wedged between those two 4" pieces of
square glass) when we heard, then felt a zap!

Complete darkness and the power went off! 'Oh, maintenance is working. Bet
they hit a snag.' Belinda said, and headed for the door. 'Excuse me!
You're not leaving me in this vise alone are you?' I shouted. Belinda kept
going and said, 'Oh, you fussy puppy...the door's wide open so you'll have
the emergency hall lights. I'll be right back.' Before I could shout
'NOOOO!' she disappeared. And that's exactly how Bubba and Earl,
maintenance men Extraordinaire, found me ... Half-naked with part of me
dangling from the Jaws of Life, and the other part smashed between glass!
After exchanging a polite 'Hi, how's it going' type greeting, Bubba (or
possibly Earl) asked, to my utter disbelief, if I knew the power was off.
Trying to disguise my hysteria, I replied with as much calmness as
possible 'Uh, yes, yes I did thanks.' 'You bet, take care' Bubba replied
and waved good-bye as though I'd been standing in the line at the grocery
store.

Two hours later, Belinda breezes in wearing a sheepish grin. Making no
attempt to suppress her amusement, she said, 'Oh I am sooo sorry!' The
power came back on and I totally forgot about you! And silly me, I went to
lunch. Are we upset?'

And that, Your Honour, is exactly how her head ended up between the
clamps...."

The judge could hardly contain her laughter as she said 'Case Dismissed!!'.

70 degrees  It's been so long since we have been any where close to the 70's.  The last time I was at the beach it was so crowded you could hardly walk to the water.  That was without any thing going on.

I left the computer early last night (10 pm-ish) to be with hubby in the bedroom, and I cannot believe I am now 14 pages behind there! It'll take me a few hours to catch up over there. Since, I assume they are still talking, so I keep getting behind. LOL

Anyway, that's where I'll be for a while.

Hope your days are going well.

Hope your husband is doing all right today.

Thanks so much 4 Donks. He is doing very well. He's up today and is so hungry. Has a voracious appetite!

I finally caught up on Kyron's thread. Not sure it was worth the read though. LOL

You are going to have hot weather again today. I so worry about your donks staying cool. I suspect they may have somewhat physically acclimated a bit to the heat by now though.

I laughed so hard at your joke, one of my biggest pet peeves is perky women    The beach will be so crowded with the surfing competition, I've been at the beach a couple times up at Venice Beach, and couldn't stand all the people there. They just left, bring out the Baileys and Zingers, do you think it was noticeable that as soon as my daughter's car cleared the garage door, I shut it immediately?

Hi You, I saw your post about your Overcharged Freon .. I hope your maint guy left you some paperwork.. so you have it on record. Because I have a feeling that your problems are not over within your ac unit.  So I hope he gave you something to show the Apt manager/owner that you had work done.  Just thinking out loud.

We unfortunately have had many " honor killings" in Metro Detroit due to the high population of Arabic people. Girls who have had their life's taken by their Fathers - its sick. Very Sick. 
If not their own Father it is a cousin or relative " always a male" taking the life a young female. 
  It's disgusting beyond belief. 
 

THanks Deenie, I think he left paperwork. I hear about them happening up there all the time Deenie, so horrifying. Happens in England all the time too. I read where some actress that was in the Harry Potter movies was almost honor killed over there. Can't think of her name right off hand though.

I just came back from putting a new round bale of hay under the trees and near the barn so they can munch on the hay and have a short walk to the barn for fresh water. Later I'll give them a watermelon .

Just tell them you were trying to make sure no animals got in the garage.

I don't know.  Watching the TV show The Closer, that is a really good show, crime show, mixed with humor that has me laughing here

...when people quote stuff and don't let it be known it is a quote nor show where it is from.

Half the time, I don't know if it is the poster talking or a quote talking!

I'm not a person for way out theories of anykind, I just don't go there. It's not like this is some complicated government thing where conspiracies are a dime a dozen.
