Good Morning Everyone.  Had more rain last night ugggh enough already but today is beeeeeutiful at 77 no humidity ahhhhhh.  Fridge was warm this morning but the freezer is working fine Uggggggh, what next?  Other than that all is well.  I hope you are all having a good day.

Morning Mission

I hope the fridge isn't going out. But it does seem to be  never ending at times doesn't it.  Maybe it is like mine and the coils just need to be cleaned.

Repair man can't get out until tomorrow morning...........yikes, looks like we are going to need some coolers

I have been busy getting the garden in, pooled drained and all that fun stuff.  Kids go back to school next week and woke up to a big 9degrees C this morning with frost warning for the weekend.  Anyone want some fresh potatoes?  Dig your own and you can take as much as you want.  Why I planted 150 hills again I have no idea right now. 

Hi Northern. Has the smoke cleared yet?  I love taters.

Smoke is still in the air but it is not as bad as last week.  Evening sun looked wonderful last night.

I forgot the catch, for every lb of potatoes you take you also have to pick the same amount of apples   

Well darn it there goes my potatoes, you will never get me on a ladder to pick them, unless you don't mind calling for the ambulance when I fall to the ground from fear of heights? 

I can move the neighbours trampoline under the tree and if you fall you can bounce right back up   

Well if you are game so am I, hope I don't break the trampoline

Road trip time.  I have a freezer full of Kevin now that his bacon is cured, a garden full of veggies and lots of room.  Making apple pies this week and freezing them.

Northern...those look lovely! sounds like you have an abundance of them! now what can you do to preserve that many potatoes? cut them up and freeze them or what would you do? or take them to the soup kitchens somewhere?

I have a cold room and they get binned.  I take a lot to my Mom as well as she also has a cold room and then gives them out to all her senior friends (which she does not really want me to know about but I think is wonderful)

Last years potatoes lasted me till March and what a wonderful thing to not have to buy them when you know how they have been grown without chemicals.  The store bought ones just don't taste the same. 

What a wonderful thing for your mom to do Northern. I would love to pick potatoes and apples!!

No Rose, I didn't think of having to get a ladder to pick the apples. Nevermind, I will stick to potatoes

I hate heights as well.  I have a hoop with a cloth bag on it on a long stick that I use for the high ones.  You hit the apple with the inside of the hoop and they fall in the bag.  No ladders are injured during this process.

he did look buff, but really short.............unless it was the camera angle?

He looks on the shorter side, but I was shocked when I saw how he looked. Before it was just a head shot and it was very hard to tell from that. But I can see how he didn't like how DeDe let herself go, if both of them were into exercise, I on the other hand would have been thrilled that the exercise and diet routine was coming to an end
