OK here are my thoughts on the BCS champ game.  I think Okie State should go.  Period.  They beat the dog crap out of Oklahoma.  Yeah they lost to Iowa State but have you seen them play lately - ISU is legit this year AND they lost on the day they had two coaches die in a plane crash.  Bama already played LSU.  Let OSU play LSU.

Regardless of how it turns out - congrats Wreck.

Had to laugh because I figured the Big 10 game would be the most boring but it was actually the only nail biter of the Championship games yesterday.  What an awful way to lose - hitting the kicker.  The call was right... but man I feel bad for that special teams player.

So now we wait for the bowl selection committees ... I hate the way they select - $ and politics.

Yes it does Cuz - saw your OC just left to rescue UAB?

I was pretty proud of the first half that UGA put up against LSU despite the loss!

Well the computers don't know about politics and don't care about money... so they got it right anyway.  Humans got it wrong.. coaches votes are a joke.  Craig James ballot is down right entertaining..... He is obviously jockeying his favorites.  Had Boise like 25th.  Can't remember the others but it was ridiculous.

Oh well... where is everyone bowling now?

Arkansas Cotton?
Michigan?
OSU?

We play Spurrier's gamecocks.

Congrads to all. Almost all our SM family have a team playing in a bowl game. Bean its great to see Neb playing in the Capital One Bowl against South Carolina. Personally its a better game than Mich State- Georgia in the Outback Bowl.
Maaco Bowl -ASU - Boise St.
Fiesta Bowl- Okla St- Standford
Sugar Bowl- Michigan- Virginia Tech
Cotton Bowl- Arkansas- Kansas St.
Rose Bowl- Wisconsin- Oregon
Alamo Bowl- Washington- Baylor
BCS- Alabama- LSU

Wreck- Yes I would rather see Okla St play LSU. Even if Alabama beats LSU they still split the season. However, wouldn't mind buying tickets to the Fiesta Bowl to see Okla St play.

It will be a good game I bet.  It's a team we loved to hate - mostly because of their fans.    Anyway.... we respect their coach and if he doesn't take home coach of the year for how he turned that program around (again) it would be a shame.  He does more with average players than you can imagine.  They are disciplined.  Few penalties, mistakes.  He will spend 20 hrs a day (he's beyond a workaholic) studying film and he will have a solid game plan.  Doesn't mean he'll win but I'm telling you his team will play hard and smart.  Without a doubt your team is more talented.  So long as they don't make mistakes and the game plan is solid you should win.  My 2 cents Smile

A Note on Tim Tebow and #TEBOWING … This Isn’t the First Time We Have Seen This, Remember Notre Dame’s Rocket Ismail … Praising God Should Always be En Vogue

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2011/12/18/a-note-on-tim-tebow-and-tebowing-this-isnt-the-first-time-we-have-seen-this-remember-notre-dames-rocket-ismail-praising-god/

Quote
That being said, what Tim Tebow is doing and what he brings to the NFL is refreshing. The fact that there are haters to Tebow is a bit disconcerting. What is there really not to like about Tim Tebow? From all accounts he appears to be a good Christan kid, humble, has his priorities correct and has a faith in himself and in his God. Seriosuly, what could be wrong with that? Isn’t this what the NFL has been looking for … a clutch player that makes headlines on the field, not in the police blotter.

The fact of the matter is that Tim Tebow has great faith in himself and faith in his God. Win or lose, Tebow praises God. I often wonder why people have bad things to say about this, this actions or his faith. Of course the MSM including the ESPN’s of the world are blowing this all out of proportion. Tim Tebow has great faith in himself and his Awesome God. For those that would have a problem with such qualities need to maybe figure out what is lacking in their lives. When I look at Tebow, I think of the movie “Facing the Giant” and the message for it. The struggling coach asks, “what is the purpose of this football team”. A player responds, “winning football games”.  Coach Grant then says, “winning football games is just too small a thing to live for. [...] we need to give God our best in every area. And if we win, we praise him and if we lose we praise him”.

I was looking forward to this game as well until OK St loss to Iowa St. You can't lose to an unranked team that you were favored to beat by 2+ TD's and expect to play for a BCS National Championship. Not when Bama loss to the #1 team in the country.

Just the way it is.

What is sad is the "BS" BCS rules for teams because all it does is reward the big conferences even if they have pathetic teams. The Sugar Bowl is a joke this year ... it should have been Arkansas vs. Boisie St or K St. That would have been a much better game than Michigan - VA Tech. Sorry, but you don't get blown out by 30 points in your ACC Championship game and get rewarded with a BCS Bowl. Heck, the Wolverines lose to Mich St and some how get rewarded with a BCS Bowl.

Except for the BCS Championship game, the rest of the BCS Bowls are a popularity contest.

How can anyone defend the fact that the #6, 7, 8, 9 and 12 teams in the BCS did not make a BCS Bowl, yet the #11, 13, 15, and 23 did.
