Yep, hard to describe how hard Saban pushes a team to prepare and it showed tonight. Kirby Smart deserves top props too as does their QB, to be so young he really led well tonight.

Don't know how many of you heard of this back-story but it's a heart-breaker.

Well it was the defensive clash we all expected but what the heck was up with Jefferson?  Was LSU's OC MIA?  Team looked uninspired and like they quit in the first quarter!  Hats off to a perfect game by Bama.  THey had it in all phases of the game.  Without a doubt #1 team.

Congrads to all those Bama fans out there! Definitely a decisive win. Bean I agree with the offensive view of LSU. Very blah. Zero attempts at any pass beyond 20 yards, not even a through away. Probably the worst running of the option from a QB.

Dang...how come Jefferson couldn't have played like that against us? Oh well... Great year for my beloved #5 ranked Razorbacks! Looking forward to a great year next year as well! Loving life now...having a blast shopping for a baby boy! 3 showers coming up plus Joran pleads guilty! Thank you God!

Cuz we share your feelings about Joran finally admitting his guilt. Thank God indeed!

IT will be a great year for your hawgs for sure. The national coaching convention was this week in TX, son said he met lots of coaches and that overall it was a great experience. I wish Petrino would bring him on board!

The hogs lost 3 assistants to UAB this week so maybe he needs to bombard petrino! I am sure he would love to hear your sons bama secrets!! On a good note...our qb Tyler Wilson will be returning for his senior season as will the running back Kniles Davis!and 28 years of jail for our sporter...what a Friday the 13th!

I knew the DC went to UAB as head coach because he was son's strongest contact, but 3 assistants now joined him? I'm shocked because UAB has some restrictions that other programs don't have that truly does impact their ability to recruit?

Dominant win by BAMA. I think there are some at OK St. that are probably happy they did not have to face that defence in a BCS Bowl game.

One good thing that came out of all this is that the word "playoff" is now in the vocabulary of the BCS. I believe it will start out as 4 and go to 8. Maybe more after that after the NCAA finds a way to incorporate with bowls and making $'s.

Look for USC, BAMA, Clemson, LSU, Georgia & Michigan to be in Top 10 preseason for 2012.

Trust me -- none of us are happy. I'm not saying we would have beat them ........................... but I bet we could score on them.

Former Penn State Football Coach Joe Paterno Dies at Age 85 … Rest in Peace

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2012/01/22/former-penn-state-football-coach-joe-paterno-dies-at-age-85-rest-in-peace/

It is obvious that Joe Paterno lost the will to live following the Penn State/Sandusky sex scandal. Joe Paterno loved two things, his family and Penn State. Sadly, many will only see the sex scandal that occurred as Paterno’s legacy; however, nothing could be farther from the truth. In the end Joe Paterno did not die of cancer, he died of a broken heart. He admitted he could have and should have done more when it came to the sex scandal that cost him his job and tainted his legacy. However, it would be short sighted and ignorant not to see the good that Joe Pa did for Penn State University and the many individuals whose lives he touched.

AFC Championship Game: New England Patriots Win 23-30 as Ravens Kicker Misses Last Second Field Goal

http://scaredmonkeys.com/2012/01/22/afc-championship-game-new-england-patriots-win-23-30-as-ravens-kicker-misses-last-second-field-goal/

Quote
WIDE LEFT!!!!

The New England Patriots defeated the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game and are headed to the Super Bowl.  Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff missed a 32 yard FG that would have tied the game with just 15 seconds left. Instead, what should have been a routine kick, turned out to be and adventure and WIDE LEFT!

What a game, the PATS offense vs. that Raven defense but who knew it would be the Patriots defense that would win the game and put them in their 7th Super Bowl.

Yes, if you cannot tell I am a PATS fan

Nice tribute Red.  My dad was a coach and it really pains me when I see icons go out on a sour note... Joe's departure was so sad and hard to take and I'm not even a Penn State fan - just a football fan.  The man did a whole lot of good and touched a lot of lives.  Thanks for pointing that out.  So many are forgetting that and I think that is just plain wrong.  RIP Jo Pa.

Wow None - seems so early for a spring game.  Ours is in two weeks.  How is the son doing?  Must be doing something right!  Still employed Wink

They are televising ours (delayed) on Big 10 network - first time anyone has allowed it.  We pride ourselves in bringing in between 60 and 80k for the game so I think they didn't want to ruin that recruiting tool.  Anyway... I bought 7 tickets and am taking my niece and two nephews - their first time.  My aunt and a cousin will assist me and trust me I will need all the help I can get!  We will start tailgating at 9 or 10 am - game starts at 1.

Weather hopefully will be great - every other year you worry it will still be cold.  We've hit 80 and even 90 already.  I had to mow my yard TWICE in the month of march... normally don't even think about mowing til May!  Very very strange weather everywhere.

well son's still employed, only member of the former staff still there? It was early for a spring game and judging from the performance, they could have used a few more weeks in practice! New HC, new offense, new conference - lot to trend up into.

I hope you and the young ones enjoy the game. Let us know how they like tailgating in the big leagues!!

The weather has been wacky, I've survived my first rainy season on the west coast and this is a photo I took last weekend - just me and the pelicans and pigeons hangin' out  Hmmm it appears we can't post photos anymore? Well it's a harbor view and gorgeous - oh well!

Come see me !!

Hi Nonesuche!  We turned off uploading images directly to the site during the Casey Anthony trial and never turned it back on.  You have to use photobucket or flickr or one of those for photos.

Glad to hear your son still has his job!
