Yeppers sure does

Just booked my flight to go watch son coach against one of his alma mater's

I was reading on ESPN and the pundits say Bo's got to deliver more wins this season - what do you think?
Cheer him on None!  Tell him HI and good luck.

Nah... Bo isn't in the hot seat yet.  Not even close.  We got rid of his brother who was a real cancer causing stress on the staff and team with his extra marital affairs... a disaster.

Guess we'll find out soon.

I got tickets to the game this week and so oldest nephew gets to go to his first ever game.  He's in 2nd grade.  He'll be a part of history because this is the last game we can set off our helium filled red balloons after the first score Sad .... There evidently is a nationwide helium shortage that is pretty severe.  Can't believe after over 60 yrs this tradition will be a thing of the past.  Tomorrow is 'one last time'.  I'll be taking photos.

Hope everyone's teams are healthy and get the W.  Kiwi... good luck against Bama!  Tough opener.

My peeps tell me we scheduled them in an "emergency" since A&M and Missouri bolted for the SEC. Schedules were thrown into a frenzy. It's 70-0 in the 3rd and our starters were gone since mid first quarter (Including our true frosh QB)

Good to hear from you guys!  So did everyone's team win?  Oops... sorry Kiwi but that was one tough opener... so we'll let it go.

Wreck.... that score... epic.  Good chance for the youngsters to play.  That is alot of players that played!  lol

You guys TWO HOURS after the game the external temp according to my car was 118 degrees!  It was the hottest I can ever remember.  15 or more band members were treated for heat.  Fans were being carted off in the first quarter like crazy.  One elderly man died of a heat stroke at the game.

My nephew (8 yrs old) and I got their at 10 am so we had over 4 hrs to walk around and take it all in.  The bad thing was that we were in the intense heat for so long.. at the end of the first quarter we sought shelter in the shade for a quarter to bring our body temps down.  We drank 10 bottles of water during the game!  We were rejuvenated by half time (though it was still godawful hot) and had a blast.  I bought him a football and put it in the car and it exploded from the heat.    The store did give the little guy a new one though.

OK... about the game... we were all pretty shocked by our offense considering we have had none for two years or more now.  We play UCLA next and pray it wasn't a one time thing.

Good to hear from you guys.... please share more about your teams and cheers to a great season for all.

Nope everyone' s team didn't win - small disaster for son's team but thankfully he isn't the new HC !!

Bean you just described opening season game at Bama when I went to son's first one on Labor Day weekend - so hot you melt and you can't imagine how the players endure the heat in all of the equipment except that's why night games make better sense? Anyway, sorry to hear someone died, how tragic!

I bet your nephew loved it all, even the heat.

I spoke to son just prior to him leaving for the stadium yesterday, teared up just listening to how very 'grown up' he is now. Have to say for all the times he was typically a pain as most growing up can be, he's made up for it all, he's just so responsible and almost wise now - and sweet to his mom. Now if they could just get this program turned around................I keep telling son it's the opportunity known as a "resume builder". Not sure he believes me, just hard to watch them suffer through the rebuild.

Kiwi, I worked yesterday and today so didn't get cupcakes made for the doghouse but thank you for providing it!

As a competitor I think this is great because #1 you see that while Braxon can scramble like a pro - his throws are off #2 chances of that happening again this season aren't great #3 he's going to kill his wide receivers before we play.  Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil! Monkey Devil!

Thanks Bean, I will. It's interesting because son is the only former staff that was retained but then he had only arrived a few months prior - it seems the new HC is pretty vocal, son says everyone (other interns/GA's) backs up a step when the HC gets in their face - son said he doesn't, he just steps forward and says "yessir". At least he's willing to take the heat. I can only imagine how vocal the HC was after that loss, painful to imagine it.

It's a shame the new QB isn't as good on the field as he was on paper too. Going to be a very long season if he doesn't trend up quickly.
