My peeps tell me we scheduled them in an "emergency" since A&M and Missouri bolted for the SEC. Schedules were thrown into a frenzy. It's 70-0 in the 3rd and our starters were gone since mid first quarter (Including our true frosh QB)

don't be embarrassed, you sure showed SS who was boss

We played 95 players tonight.............................I hope we didn't blow any "red-shirt" options!!!

Understood wreck but also don't wish away that playing experience, there is no substitute for their learning curve!

I just wanted to stop in and wish everybody luck this weekend. We lost one of our two top tailbacks for the year, which is not good. I hope we can make the game competitive for the national audience. Upon my return, I will give a break down on my experience down in New Orleans as well as Baton Rouge. Go Dawgs!!!

Wow.  Hope I don't offend anyone but there is no bigger douche in college ball than Lane Kiffen.  Despite being the son of a Husker this guy has absolutely no class.  Rescinds a scholarship given to a walk on so he can give it to a player that gets out of prison?  GMAB

I'm glad everyone did extremely well last weekend. Bama looked great! They should have a very fine year and compete for the NC as long as they don't lose focus along the way. On the Mich side go back to the spread and average 30-40 points a game and let the NFL develop the pro style game for Dennard.

Oh yeah... a wee bit tougher.  I hope the team can adjust.  lol  Good luck Wreck.  Looks like the Old Man in purple can still coach huh?  What an amazing story.  Looking forward to the IA State vs IA game.  I can't help but cheer for IA State.

Prayers sent to this young man injured today.  What an awful accident.  Was on the field the entire half time being tended to.  May he recover quickly.

Ah Wreck, thanks for asking.  Her name was Annie and she passed on 2/25 this year.  She was 16.  She fought a tumor very long and very hard.  In the end it took away her ability to walk and she was down to 10 lbs (from 17).  So I'm puppyless right now as I regroup.  Dogs are the best though.  One day.

How did your team do today?  We lost and our D looked like Callahan's.  It was depressing.  Drinks at Kiwi's are on me.

Sharon... oh no I'll pay the mortgage.    We only lost by 6 pts but our infamous Blackshirt defense gave up 653 yards!  That is worse than under Callahan.  If UCLA hadn't taken a knee the last drive and had they gained THREE more yards it would have been the most yards given up by any NE team EVER in the over 100 yr history of the school.

I told None that Bo wasn't on the hotseat... Tom Osborne is very slow to fire.. but the temp just got turned up a notch and I might have to eat some crow.

Sharon, Bill Snyder is the master of trickery and he gets more out of his unranked players than any coach I've ever seen.  KSU sunk into immediate disrepair when he retired and quickly rose when he returned... The guy has to be 70 yrs old... they'll have him on the sidelines with oxygen... they need him alive.  The guy is just that good.  So your team can still rally!

Wreck I think your game was one of those late ones so I don't know what happened....

Are we all in the dog house except Kiwi this week?  Yikes.

Bean - I am so sorry about Annie - we lost two of our kitties last year and I miss my Big Red so bad it hurts, he's now been diagnosed with epilepsy and daughter is doing all she can to provide the best care for him but being so far away from family, pets, and home is harder and harder.

Bean, no crow required here. The season is still young.........keep the faith.

Sharon, I'll take the seat next to you. Son's team lost in the 4th Q but it was a great improvement, here are some quotes from the state newspaper's #1 sports writer today:
"They were creative. Smart. Disciplined. They were flying around on defense. They were playing with passion and intelligence.

"Best half of football they've played in three years,"

So I'll take that, onward and upward - let's hope for wins all around next week

Other then getting beat by a very, very good LSU team, the trip to New Orleans and Baton Rouge was phenomenal. The French Quarter was a treat: From eating Beignets at Cafe DuMonde at least twice a day while I was there; To eating at places like ACME(Po Boy sandwhich after chargrilled oysters), Menas Palace(cup of shrimp gumbo followed by red beans and rice w/fried chicken), and Oceana where I again had some shrimp gumbo followed by red beans and rice with sausage, I couldn't have had a better time.

-Bourbon St. was very lively as the Saints were kicking off the regular season at the Superdome.
-TheTrolley ride down St. Charles to see all the plantation style mansions was a step back in time. It was an absolutely fantastic ride on a hot night, with a cool southern breeze flowing through the open windows of the trolley car.
-The tailgating and fans of LSU were as good as it gets. I'm sure there is a little more electricity in the stadium when LSU is playing Bama or Florida, and not our soft team that showed up.
-Being from the northwest, it was a bit odd seeing dead gators on the I-10 heading to Baton Rouge. Don't worry, I didn't pull over to the side of the road to go to the bathroom.
-The Tiger Walk was pretty cool, and the LSU band was very entertaining.

Sorry if any of you watched that game..LOL!!!

As someone from the area, can I just say that many people are scratching their heads over the need for a SS football team.  It's all about the money for SS.

Afternoon all- So except for the Bama fans here, were all back in the Dawg House. It's pretty crowded in here now! I still like Okst, just didn't think Arizona would be that good. ASU will be in trouble now. I'm sure Miami will come back strong. Bean as far as Neb it's early they will be fine. KTF going up against LSU I felt the same way after Bama. So this weekend good luck to all! Drinks are on me!
