None.. we forgive you... and knew what you meant...

Spartys were playing for their coach and it showed.  Sad thing is he was readmitted to the hospital due to a blood clot in his leg.  Guess it is common after heart procedures... but the team sure fought hard... I wouldn't have thought they'd beat WI.  Good win for them, hard loss for WI.

How about the end of that LSU/TN game?  I'm with PDH... TN won that game.  It reminded me of when they put 1 second back on the clock in our TX game last year.  Heartbreaking when you think you win a good one and it gets reversed.  But thats sports.

None, how did son's team do this week?

Thanks bean for I just haven't had much time to think, much less deduce well this week

TN did win that game and I expect young Dooley will figure out how to move on from it.

Son's team won again  so only one loss this season to date and that was by 1 point at the buzzer..........so far so good? Fingers and toes crossed........

Well I sure goofed, it wasn't the Badger's coach who had the heart attack!! That's what you get when you try to watch while baking

Bean, I completely agree about the language of some fans, it's out of control.

Back to baking.............

Hey nonesy....I wasn't calling you out! I promise!  I knew what you meant.

I just thought it was a cute story that the MSU coach was calling plays from his hospital bed!
Coaches just seem incapable of turning it off...

I bet you were baking something wonderful!

I agree about the fans using vulgar language. It's always happened, but it seems to be a much bigger problem now.

I knew you weren't calling me out PDH, I was calling myself out !

I figure for son to do what he's doing, it has to be a passion that drives you to coach, he's so far away from home and not complained one ounce. But if you love what you do, it compensates for many things. He seems able to turn it off though but he's not a HC.  I think when you're the HC and so much rises and falls on each game - it has to be all-consuming.

I don't have photos of everything yet but yes, I think these turned out well

ESPN is reporting John Blake is in deeper you-know........that man is surely full of audacity if all that's been reported is true.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5646243

One has to wonder is this the exception or has this been going on in programs without being exposed???

For the most part everyone did very well over the weekend! I noticed Wreck's OSU is in the top 25 this week and its well deserved.
Michigan plays Michigan State in Ann Arbor next weekend. So one of them well drop off the unbeaten list. Defensively, Michigan rushes 3, 80% of the time. Stats place them near the bottom of the 125 team list on defense. They gave up almost 500yds passing last game and 35 points. Which also points to the fact that 15-20 seconds for a QB to throw the ball, is enough time to complete 500yds passing. Just a little pressure on the opposing QB might reduce the need to have a shoot out. Just saying this encase RR reads here before the next game.
Who does AU, Neb, OSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Tenn, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Miami, ND, play next?

Oh that will be a good one.  I went to that game one year down in Miami and had a blast.  Had on Husker gear and was cheering for the Canes and this real drunk Miami fan bout went crazy seeing a Husker cheering his team on.     That game went back and forth down to the wire.  Loved it.

Read that both QBs are dinged up.  Hope they are able to play.  GL Sharon!

I'll pull for your 'Canes since I don't have a dog in that fight anyway! I like your coach, btw. He seems to have straightened out the discipline problems and things are looking good again in Miami.

We play tomorrow night and not sure I'll have time to post... sis visiting from Phoenix so we are gathering at my mom's...

Lots of red already in Manhattan KS.  This rivalry goes back to the early 1900s and ends tomorrow.  Sad.  The bus drove thru Beatrice NE today and people lined the streets wearing red and carrying signs to wave at the team as they drove south.  Just like they have for generations.

A shop in downtown features a dead Herbie Husker grave and a Husker cabbage patch doll (also dead) being served on a dinner platter...

Gotta love college football fans.

We're pulling for your Huskers beans!!!
I watched Bo's interview on ESPN tonight. Talk about a low-key guy.....he is one of a kind! I really respect him!

Dang...my beloved UAB Blazers are getting their behinds handed to them on national TV by Central Florida.
UAB needs Nascar!

A lot of the big food companies (ConAgra etc.) are from Nebraska -- is Beatrice, Neb. related to the old Beatrice Foods conglomerate?

That was an ugly game, I think many were surprised to see UAB couldn't even break into the 20's in scoring

I bet they are!  I have insomnia tonight, and I wish I had some to go with my herbal tea....although chocolate may not be the thing to induce sleep.
