Wisconsin made a statement today.  Talk about style points.  83 points against Northwestern!  That isn't a beating, its a bloodbath.  Congrats GO!

today's game was almost embarrassing to watch.  2nd string running back runs for 170 yards, they take him out and 3rd string back gets nearly 150 yards.  4th string freshman QB comes in and throws a 70 yard touchdown pass to another freshman who never plays.  Then the 4th string QB runs a bootleg trying to run out the clock and Indiana completely lays down and lets him walk for a TD from 25 yards out.

I think I was at the game the last time we scored this many points.  I was a kid and we played Marquette when they had a football program.

Well Kiwi, hopefully you will be kind to us next week.  I would like to see us run the table these last two games.  We should have our first string running back returning as well as our top two receivers who really didn't play today.   This team has surprised me since we lost our top defensive player in the first game and have had the most injuries I can remember in a long time.

good luck to the rest of you..   I plan on trying to watch a few of the games yet today.

Wonderful to 'see' you posting GO !! I see your team set a school record today - great game !! Enjoy the win

PDH - that first offensive series ought to show a few what Cam's made of, so glad to see him prove to ESPN that even they can't take him down  Seems son will be at the Iron Bowl this year too, he's very excited.

Go- Glad to see you here. Badger back ups are just playing there hardest.  Nothing to explain.  Still, Michigan had a 130- 0 score against Michigan St. to hold the record in the Big Ten. All that did is make Michigan State carry a grudge for the last 100 plus years!
None- The defense actually didn't give up a TD today. All scores for Purdue were off 5 turnovers, in a driving cold rain. Actually there were 10 total turnovers for both sides.  Second half we alternated QB's on each series.
Good luck to all SM today!

Thanks, I think it is considered a modern day record.  I think we won our first game ever back in the 1800's by a score of 106-0

We have had a very cold rain today also.   I think we may have had one injury today that may sideline him for the rest of the decade.

The Badger mascot ended up having to do 576 push ups this afternoon.....    That poor student is going to have difficulty picking up a pen to write down class notes this week......

That's right klaas! A win doesn't have to be purdy to count!

WAR EAGLE!!!! 11-0!!! SEC West Champions!!! We get to try and beat South Carolina for the 2nd time this season in the SEC Championship game....

But first....we have to beat Bama.

nonesy....does this mean Auburn has to win without Nascar's good mojo?

I'm sure he'll be pulling for his good friend McElroy, and all his former team mates. That's certainly understandable.

GO...my goodness!  The Badgers couldn't seem to keep from scoring no matter who they put in. I expected to see their waterboy under center in the 4th quarter....

Congrats to all winners today!

Congrats again Klaas and Bean too

Texasmom - congrats to TCU, what a great and exciting season your team has had !

PDH - son's perspective has transitioned to the coaching, it's how he views every game now, even both alma-mater's. He's been intrigued by Chizik's capability to push AU so fast and so far. Of course he's always hoping his friends do well, whatever their endeavor, but he's definitely a may the best team win man. He was excited his team won again last weekend, a 10 win season thusfar !!

I also saw the shootings reported in Hattiesburg, one has to wonder why players feel the need to visit risky places but they do........just sad and tragic and I hope all four will physically be ok.

I saw the media report on the shootings

None, please give my best to your son.  That is a great record.  He should be very proud.  Did you tell him that CEO got a coaching job so we might have an intern opening?

Seriously - it sounds like he is really growing up and you have to be proud of what he is doing.  I know I am!  xoxo

Well my respect for Nascar has gone up another notch to a whole new level! He is so smart!
It is an amazing achievement for a coach to turn around a program in disarray in only 2 seasons. Even if we don't win another game what Coach Chizik is doing down at Auburn is amazing. The coaching staff he put together is brilliant and the recruiting has been outstanding. Somehow all that has gotten lost with all the effort by the media to ruin Cam Newton and Nick Fairley.

Congratulations to Nascar's team on the 10 wins!! That is amazing!

Auburn has a bye week. Who's got a big game this weekend?

Bean - thanks so much for the support for son, means a great deal. I did tell him the CEO was moving on so to tap Bo on the shoulder  In our dreams............!

PDH - I was thinking today, as painful as the entire Cam and now Fairley media accusations are, that perhaps on the back side of this (when it ends) that even ESPN will be held accountable for feeding off these frenzies. We can hope, right?

I read where one of the southern Miss players is now paralyzed from the waist down, another will likely never speak again for his vocal cords were sliced in half by the bullet. Even if they were out partying to suffer these types of permanent injuries to their quality of life is just horrifying. Perhaps it's time for every college football program to include in their orientation for their players, a review of all of this in terms of a learning track, so that they are all fully aware of the risks. Something has to be done now......

On a lighter note I had to post this today, daughter sent it to me when a Bama friend sent it to her. Oh to make a mistake of throwing into double coverage for Coach Saban is going to publicly treat you like a bad child

nonesy - The whole Nick Fairley thing is a made up issue. He got tackled and knocked into the GA QB's shin.....not his knees. And on the other hit, Nick was already in the air when Murray let go of the ball, and he couldn't stop. He didn't see that the ball was gone in time. He weighs 300 lbs, so it's not like there was much he could do. It was only a couple of seconds late, but he got flagged for it, and that was OK. He didn't start out to make a late hit.

This is what his team mate had to say in support of Nick:
"College football is a full speed game. To reach the pinnacle you can't hold back between the whistles" "If you don't understand this you've either never played the game or placed at a high enough level to excel."   Lee Zimba on 11-16-10

All the Auburn hate is just unprecedented and very undeserved.

A Bama Grad Assist. who used to be an Assist. AD at MSU has been interviewed by the NCAA, and inside info has it that the FBI removed some computers from the Bama athletic complex on Friday. Bama says no comment.

The plot thickens.....

That Southern Miss story is just heartbreaking. But we hear about this kind of thing just about every season. I wish these kids would be a little more careful with their lives, but they have no concept of danger at that age. Clubs, drinking, and weapons are an awful mix. It's always trouble for somebody.I have those kids in my prayers. I feel awful for them.

That Saban tape made the rounds down here too. I just don't like his coaching style. He always seems to be on the edge of losing complete control of his temper. It makes me nervous for those kids. I guess they don't mind it.

Bo Pellini and Nascar would be a great pairing! beans...make a call!!!
