Pdh- Great ending thankfully! Especially since everything is new in the Dawg House... None and Bean and I noticed they were predicting AU to win the west.  Pd you spent the day side  stepping the bad mojo. You can't hide now they said it! So what do we do now?

Most Auburn games are like that....very hard on the nerves!

  WAR DAMX EAGLE!

Don't worry PDH!

None - I like my cheesecake with blueberries on it.

Yum yum to the cupcakes too.

You guys think Reggie will lose his trophy? I'm not sure he even cares anymore... ha

I don't think he cared enough in the first place....and that's sorta the point. It's a matter of principle. It was never meant for a semi-pro athlete to even be nominated, let alone win. It should go to Vince Young.

At some point in time, the NCAA, and all these other organizations that are involved in college football...like the Heisman Committee...have to make these teams either respect the rules, and reinstate ethics in sports, or just give in and quit being hypocritical. They all ride the fence right now, and the Reggie Bush/Pete Carroll types play them for all it's worth...which is millions of dollars. The whole USC thing is a disgrace, but it was never a big secret. That just makes it that much worse.

It really wasn't a secret was it? Mind blowing...........even now.

I don't know how many of you are watching the ripple in the pond of this NCAA agent investigation, for UNC is the high profile but the same investigation into the Miami party has now caused players to be suspended not only at UNC but also at Alabama, South Carolina, and UGA.

Bean - turns out John Blake was a VP in Whichard's agency during his tenure with MSU and Nebraska - this came out today

None -I'm watching it......because Saban mouthed off about agents publically. One of the agents then made veiled remarks about coaches with things to hide who shouldn't be criticizing others.
I have a feeling he made some powerful enemies with that remark and things will get very ugly before all of this is over. The NCAA is looking at Bama now too, and they are already on probation.
During Pete Carroll's entire tenure at USC the NCAA stood by and did nothing. Now all of a sudden they have decided to start cleaning things up?
I wonder about the NCAA. Just what made them get up and do their job? Was it because all the infractions were getting to be so public, and so far out of hand that something finally had to be done?

Oh Lordy I know it Kiwi! It's that bad ESPN football juju again! I like it better when they write us off.

Kirk Herbstreit did predict that Auburn would win the SEC West a few weeks ago. He's about the only one that ever gives us any credit on ESPN. Things have not been good between Auburn and ESPN since they were part of the media manipulation in 2004 that probably cost us a National Championship.

I'm just glad we managed to hold off MSU.  Dan Mullen has them going in the right direction, and they were very well coached last night. They had a great game plan. Another year of recruiting, and the MSU Dawgs will be back in the fight fully loaded again. They  heavily recruited Cameron Newton too, and he almost went there because he had a relationship with Dan Mullen from his Florida days. Just imagine if he'd been on the other side last night!

Cameron Newton is a very Tebow-esque QB1, and I'm thankful that he's an Auburn Tiger!!!

Defense wins championships! I was glad to see tough defense being played by both sides last night. Traditional SEC football is what I love the most.

For some reason, Auburn and MSU in particular always seem to have a tough defensive battle. I think it makes for a much better game. Last night was exciting to watch. Our defense did a great job, even with all the inexperienced young players we have. My personal MVP was Nick Fairley....Big # 90! He really did an amazing job!

WDE!

So wreck....watch out for Troy! They are upset specialists.

Bama and Penn St. - Gotta go with Bama

Miami and OSU.....Maybe Miami.

What else do we have on the schedule?

Thanks cuz!
Big Z is fine. He posted on his Twitter that he's OK and will play next week. I think it was a precautionary move to take him out since his back-up is also a stellar player and did a fine job filling in on the fly. As you well know...the SEC is a rough place to play football, and Big Z wants to continue his streak of being a first stringer who has never missed starting a game. Plus he has a future in the NFL....

We have several players from Arkansas on our roster, don't we? Ziemba's parents went to Auburn, so it was no contest for him, even growing up in Little Rock.
We also have Kodi Burns and Michael Dyer.

Yeah, they beat us 3 years ago!! No one is taking them lightly. I think they have better athletes than Washington State!

Wow... rumors abound about a certain Big 12 North coach having a heart attack last night.  Older guy that came out of retirement.  Dang I really hope it isn't true.

I assume you mean Bill Snyder at K-State -- but, I can't find anything on it (not even their boards). I hope it is not true!

Marshall beating the crap out of W VA?  Who'd have thunk it?

Hate to say it but I was actually right when I cracked the joke about Coach Snyder going to a doc.  Only update I have seen is quote: "an overreaction by a nurse who saw Coach Snyder come in with some relatively minor discomfort in his chest, or something to that effect. Everything's still remaining kind of sketchy right now".

All I could think of was HIPPA!    As many of those damn forms as I've had to sign... that is why I didn't use his name originally.  I was skeered.

This is kind of cool --- to honor Sept. 11:

At tomorrow's football game, college football coaches and sideline personnel at Nebraska will honor the men and women that help keep America safe by wearing the Stars and Stripes Collection by adidas. On-field staff will wear the red, white and blue themed apparel and headwear to celebrate, honor and thank those who have served the country. Fans can purchase these special items at HUSKERS.COM and a precentage of all proceed will go towards providing financial assistant to our men and women in uniform
