Depth on defense was Auburn's big issue last year too. It's the reason we lost to Bama.

But it is no longer a problem!

The Braves beat the Giants in the 11th inning. Ankiel homered! The series goes back to Atlanta on Sunday night, and former Auburn pitcher Tim Hudson will start. I can't wait!!

In the meantime....there's FOOTBALL!!!! WAR EAGLE!
Speaking of baseball ... my Rangers had only won ONE playoff game in the franchises's history before this year!!!  We swept Tampa Bay (at their place) and can actually move to the American League Championship series with a win at home today or tomorrow!!!

We out-scored them 37-7 in 2nd half. Much better! That is the difference between big schools and smaller schools -- depth. A few years ago, we would lead Texas by 3-4 touchdowns in the first half and lose the game by 17. It boils down to depth.
Whew.  I went to bed at half time so I missed the good stuff.  Congrats on the W.

Heading out to watch the kiddies play soccer.  Have great games today all!

Those Ragin' Cajuns are pesky and hard to put away.

Auburn's had some games with them, and they really do play all out. They are always well coached and they do bring some talent because LA is loaded with good athletes.

Looks like Okie State has gotten the upper hand again. I've got to go pull my Braves through Game 2, so I'm switching over to baseball.

 Go Cowboys!

Go Braves!

Playing Louisiana-Lafayette, I kept waiting for them to put "Bobby Bouchet" in. I swear, the whole scene was straight out of "The Waterboy"!!  Monkey Devil!

Me too.  He always sent links to articles and when he wasn't here before, during or after our game that he talked so much about.. I knew something was up.  Anyone have his email?  I don't.

KTF - we are thinking of you and worried.

Nothing on the Natalee thread either -- so I don't think it was anything we did here.

I'm thinking it must be something happened off the board in his life.  ???  At first I thought we might have pissed him off or maybe the loss got him too upset to come back but thats not his style and I too noted nothing on the Natalee threads... I hope he's ok!  Cheering you on wherever you are KTF.

Wreck did you see TxTech's 'onside kick' attempt?  Stupid play of the year.  Gotta be on the highlight reels tonight. ha.

Penn State getting beat by Illinois?  Whew.  Glad they are the appointed new rival we were given in the Big 10.  Monkey Devil!  Keep that QB as the starter next year.

Miami plays Florida State Saturday night.

Miami is on their way once again, the game against FSU should be one to watch. I need to email you, son speaks with a coach at UM often.

Please do Smile  Address still the same.

pdh3 I agree about coach and cleanup -- that's the only reason I can root for them, finally Smile Shalala has been instrumental in the cleanup and image change for the entire university.

Good luck this weekend, everyone !

I'll email soon I promise, I have my mother here this week but hopefully I can break away long enough for a few emails. The minute I step over to my laptop she calls my name to come hither ..........

none - I'm sure you'll find this interesting, but not surprising....

What a sad waste of all the opportunities he was given.

actually I'm not surprised to see Hall in this mess but I am surprised to see Darwin in it. Hall's mother was always one of the most vocal ones about how her baby was going to the big ride........

He's goin' to the big ride all right...to jail in the back of a police car.

well said PDH. If you notice via google, Darwin now has his own website? These are the kinds of things that happen when you build your life around the hope for the big ride.........so sad.

They did an onside kick and the ball went 10 yds and landed on the ground.  It is laying there and there are 2 TT guys and a Baylor kid.  Seemed like forever they all just looked at the ball.  LOL.  Finally the Baylor guy picks it up and runs the length of the field to score.  Just read on our boards that they did the same thing last week?  Oh my.  LOL

You know I am.

I'm also trying to keep up with Arky and TX A&M....

There's a huge Bama meltdown going on right now due to the loss. Spurrier is one SLY DAWG!!!

I've wondered about KTF also. I hope nothing's wrong. I sure do miss his links, and his input from the Pac 10.

GO!!!! Good to see you!!!! Hope all is well with you!

No chance Boise State goes to the BCS Championship. There are too many schools with stronger schedules....IMHO.

Who did you play today GO?

And I did catch the 2nd half of the Bama game.  Wow is all I can say.  I went to the wedding late because I wanted to see the ending. ha ha

Not GO.. ::monkeywine2::ut I believe they played MN....and won big 41-23!

Congrats to GO!

Kiwi....so sorry about MI.

Auburn played another heart-attack inducing game, and won with no time left on the clock by kicking a field goal. The game was tied until that point. Kentucky has a very talented offense, and they played their hearts out tonite.

There may not be enough Xanax available to help me make it through this season. Next week I'm gonna have a paramedic and a defib machine on standby.

I need a fainting icon.....

Well -- at least it was a beautiful evening for football.

Congrats Seminole fans (if there are any  )
