We'd be more than happy to have you Wreck. Start throwing your weight around!

Frijole- If Bubba Starling goes pro, the Huskers are looking bit thin at QB. I hear the OC is looking to run Martinez more? I didn't like it when Jake Locker had to run more. All running the QB more can do is increase the chance of injury and wear them down over the course of the year. If you don't have a physically, and mentally tough QB that can play through it, it could make for a long year. Especially being in the Big10.

We had a log jam a few weeks ago.  ha.  A great kid from TX who had recouped from TWO torn ACLs tore his shoulder labrum and he is now gone - going to help as a trainer or whatever.  Cody Green leaving surprised me because he really really was a leader despite never starting and the fans just love him (more than Taylor Martinez) but the system we are switching to doesn't fit his strengths is what I am hearing.

The fans all agree with you on running Martinez - we feel he is an injury waiting to happen... or if he has a bad play he fakes one.  Monkey Devil!  Anyway, they are designing the offense around his strengths.  But I guarantee you by 5th game into the season Tommie Frazier's nephew or cousin or whatever he is will be starting and tear things up.

Would love to get Bubba and will take that one day at a time but hard to pass up that money.  We have another QB that is so dang talented (Jamal Turner) that we moved him to WR for THIS year.  He tore up the spring game.  Just a stud.  So he is there as well.

It just means we will be recruiting QB hard for this coming year.

KTF I'm impressed with your knowledge of our team!

no comments on Tressel's resignation?
I was on vacation in Mexico!  TOOOOOO funny though.  We met another family from NE day one.  Day 3 we are sitting poolside and the young gal said "OMG Tressel is out".  She went to the web and confirmed it so we probably knew about it as soon as anyone.... Amazing huh?  Just got home at 2 am.  Lots to catch up on.

Good one.  Just read that Beebe allowed the "OTHER" big 10-12 teams to walk with more money today.  That is a good thing.  Congrats on that.

Re THE OSU ... that guy in the vest sure had me fooled.. .though I didn't really follow them.  Just goes to show that the snake salesman doesn't always have greasy hair and an unbuttoned shirt.   Monkey Devil!

Had a great time - the whole clan from grandparents to grandkids went.  Went swimming with/on dolphins, on a pirate ship (hysterical) and zip lining which was fantastic.  I'm exhausted.

@Frijole-I just confirmation on tickets to the Nebraska game....

Any ideas for the itinerary are welcome. Where is the best place to fly into, lodging, food, cornshucking contests, cornfield tours, and are you able to get me into Larry the cable guys suite for the game?

You can fly into Lincoln.  If you fly into Omaha (perhaps cheaper air and better connections) you will have a 1 to 1 1/2 hr drive to Lincoln.  I would get there early enough so you don't have to drive from Omaha on Saturday as the Interstate is a traffic jam. Smile  Lots of must dos.  Mistys for prime rib (or steak) on Friday night - the band and cheer squads come and play/cheer.  Herbie Husker shows up and its just old fashioned fun.

Think I told you closest hotel is Embassy Suites.  Right by the stadium and they have a beer garden that is packed.  Live band etc for tailgating right there.  I am going to go to one of the websites and find their complete list of things to do because it's quite thorough.

Klass or mod - can you forward my email to KTF?
BBM - Only Klaas has access to members emails, so I'll forward this to her.  MB

Hi Cuz - son is in Arkansas today, say a prayer for him please - job interview.

As bad as the situation is with OSU, UNC's infractions are actually worse by the NCAA rulebook. All of the details went public this week and if they don't fire Butch Davis then I think the program becomes a public joke.

I forgot to address Butch Davis!! He was a HS coach in Oklahoma, was hired by Jimmy Johnson when he coached at Oklahoma State (when I was there). He then went with Jimmy to Miami and on to the Dallas Cowboys. He is a good coach -- but learned his ethics in all the wrong places! (yes, Jimmy got us on probation too!)

Wreck - your combo at QB and WR are downright scary.  There was a nice article in our paper a couple weeks ago about how they came back... Nice kids too.

Well we are a member of the Big 10 now... seems weird.  Lots of new experiences on the horizon.  KTF did you get my email?

Looks like they are going after Oregon now.

Football with Frijole ... US Woman's World Cup Style.

I am not a big soccer fan until the World Cup comes around. What a phenomenal win today by the Ladies US Team. Down a player on a red card and tied due to a BS call by the ref after the US goalie made a stop of a penalty kick and then later down a goal late in the game when all seemed lost ... The US Ladies pulled off a miracle tie in the waning moments of the game and then won the game on penalty kicks 5-3 to defeat Brazil in the Quarter finals.

They now take on France in the semis.

Red - I accidentally watched the ending... my bro came over to help me with a project and said the US was hosed on some calls and would never win but he wanted to just "check it out" ... when we turned it on was right before the shootout.  It was unreal.  Justice prevailed here!     His kids were all jumping up and down yelling USA USA... gave me goosebumps.
