Hi all I've been stuck reading in the trial area. But I'm back now! I watched that soccer game from start to finish. Pretty intense ending. After the game some of the sports channels were placing the game in the top 10 in sports. Playing one player down for about 45 minutes due to the red card is like playing 4 on 5 in hockey for half the game not just 2 minutes. Then to come back in overtime with only a few seconds left, sheer will. Until those 2 goals, Brazil had not given up a goal in that tournament. Even if your not a fan of the sport it was the one to watch.

The loss to Japan was sooo frustrating but the US team handled it with integrity.

This article just made me laugh, the embedded twitter feed link is pretty funny too. The media drawing straws as to which one will ask a stupid question from Saban during SEC week http://www.footballscoop.com/news/4152-who-will-deliberately-enrage-nick-saban-on-friday-morning

   None too funny.

Only about 40 more days til season... is this our 6th year together?  yikes....

I'm kind of excited.. I might be getting tickets to our first B1G game.  Its against Wisconsin.  At Wisconsin.  Guess they had 25000 requests for 3000 tickets from NU fans.  Love it.  Anyway... I'll find out soon.

Everyone getting pumped up?!!

Bean I finally did it. Purchased 4 tickets to the Michigan - Nebraska's first game. Just need plane tickets, hotel and car! We don't play until November 19th but I thought I'd get a head start on it. Unfortunately, the game was already sold out, all 110,000+ seats. Had to go to the after market. Could have gone to Maui for less, hmmmm. Overall not bad seats on the 30. Of course I asked my Nebraska buddy before purchasing on the Michigan side. Hopefully, we won't need security with one red dot showing on a sea of maze and blue.

Ah dearest Kiwi... trust me... there will be lots of red near where you are sitting.   Monkey Devil!

Different situation but I already read where we (NE fans) bought thousands of season tickets at Wisconsin and Minnesota just to score the one that counted.  Don't count us out.  We are quite rabid.  Hope this link works. ha.

Today was our first practice.  This will be a whole new experience this year and I'm looking forward to it.  How about you guys?  Wreck... congrats on the nice ranking.  Says alot about your qb/wr combo and the rest of the team.  I will be cheering for you to take the Big 12-2 this year.  Don't let me down now.

Hope everyone's teams stay healthy thru fall camp.

I think lots of folks are pulling for the Huskers this season, hope it's a good one for you bean.

Son drove 16 hours to one job this week, not the job he most wanted but the one he found after nearly 6 months of interviews for a grad assistant position with a D-1 program. We joked before he left that as exasperated he was with the waiting game for the other one, that likely they would call with an offer once he was in another role. Well it's exactly how it happened, he was onsite for the other job exactly 6 hours & got the call to head back south for the GA position. So he drives 20 hours straight, hops out of the car midday on Thursday and is quickly put to work with practice.

So wish his new team luck, they are currently dead last in offensive rankings in their conference so lots of improvement needs to happen and quickly.

I have to admit that when he called me to tell me that call had finally come, it did feel good to get to say to my son "how does it feel to have your dreams come true?" God bless him, he's always chosen the toughest of paths.

I've been following it Wreck.  It's awful but doesn't surprise me.  Like an ESPN writer said "I can see why A&M is pissed and I can see why UT signed the deal they did"... I think each university has to start looking out for its own best interests because this can't end well unless everyone gets their ducks in a row.  Guess the refs will focus on A&M this year huh?    Could be a good thing for you Wreck.  ha ha ha

Its simple... you need to form "TON"  That stands for The Okie Network.  Monkey Devil!  Could be worse though... you could be Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas or Missouri.     Craziness and the season hasn't even started.  Beebee is a pathetic weasel and his lack of leadership shows once again.  He needs to man up and look out for the whole league and not just the guys in burnt orange.
