Kiwi & Bean, say a prayer for son today. It's the half and they are only 3 down against a big opponent for them - daughter is at the game too and I just miss them all too much. But glad my two kids got to hang out last night and very happy to see the team  play a respectable first half.

KTF - New Orleans is a wonderful place, so glad you were able to visit there.

Glad I got that 17" screen on my laptop, I can actually SEE son

Haven't checked all scores yet -- so I hope all had a good day yesterday Smile

Hope None's son is celebrating Smile

I'm still in shock over the CANES win vs Georgia Tech........what a game

(AND- earlier in the week, U of M was celebrating an 'academic' award....something like being #1 in Florida and #50 in the US -- thank you Donna Shalala)

KTF is just checking after a great victory over #8 Stanford. I think our offense still needs to start hitting on all cylinders, but our our defense played really well.  It was a great night at the Clink.Woof!Woof! Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Good luck Wreck.  You know who I'm rooting for.

KTF.. I watched the first half... couldn't stay awake that late on a school night.  lol.  Agreed the D looked terrific.

Need to check out tomorrows games.  We got Wisconsin.  At home.  Sporting special uniforms which is quite rare for us.  Tom Osborne is retiring dang it.  All the news I got.

Good luck to all!

Looks like the #8 spot is the jinx position. There will be a new #8 the 4th one now after this weekend to lose. Good job KTF and the Husky's.
Good luck to everyone this weekend!!!!!!!

Looks like Nebraska had another win - was interesting to see LSU struggle against Towson early in that game

Haven't had time to track all of the games, working all weekend once again. Son's team had a bye week................didn't Miami win? Thought I saw that too, just no time to drill down.

Kiwi I'm glad I could stay out of the dawghouse for just one week, even if by default!

Yes None, we won... nail biter til the very end.  We shot ourselves in the foot first half and gave them 2 TDs at least... I drank a bit more than normal so it's unclear. lol.  Team played like they should have the 2nd half and scored 27 unanswered pts.  We play Ohio State next week so no time to relax.

I was laughing at the LSU score because I went to college at Towson!  I know they are a basketball and rugby school... we didn't even have cheerleaders for the football team. lol.  Couldn't watch their game as ours was on at that time.

Bean, nothing against Towson at all - have to admit I have a rabid LSU fan/college classmate and when I signed into FBook I saw her meltdown on the news feed as Towson put LSU thru their paces

It's like Troy State, never ever underestimate the little guy, right?

I wish some of our old posters would return, I miss the larger banter back and forth. I'll have to email you a photo of son, he looks like a bonafide college football coach

Well Sharon I am in the doghouse with ya!  The way we played tonight I might have to just move in.  Wow.

None early in the season you mentioned Bo being in the hot seat and I said no.  Forget that.  Tom O has announced his retirement and the new AD will be introduced Tuesday.  Some are speculating... and after tonight's dreadful performance by our defense I can see why.  I think Bo would be better suited for the NFL as a position coach.  The end.

Bean, college coaches are under such scrutiny now and it's all about the wins with the exception of some of the more academic universities. I wish all of them the best for it's not a job for the faint of heart.

That said, gratefully son's team won today - it they did not I expect a public lynching might have ensued. I actually fly out Tuesday night for my first day off since starting this job in January and am going to be able to watch son coach a game. Can't recall when I've missed him more and really need to see my boy. Two weeks ago while watching the game on the internet (only way to see his games out here), suddenly the screen is filled with him calling plays and I burst into tears. However this turns out for the long-term, God bless him he's living his dream now.

South Carolina is really coming along but can't say I enjoy watching ole visor-head winning but glad for his team. Lots of upsets today for sure though, lots !

None,  how great that you can go to one of his games!  I can't imagine how proud you must be of him.  Yes he picked a very tough profession.  It takes a special kind of person and a whole lot of sacrifice.  Cheer him on for us and enjoy your weekend with him.

This could be the year that nearly all of us are stuck in the Dawg House. At least we have plenty of room and lots to drink! So how did we fair last weekend? Pretty much all Bama fans are sitting just fine!

Kiwi - it's you vs me next Saturday in Lincoln.  Why am i nervous?  LOL  Both our teams struggled and eeked out wins this week.  Your QB scares the crap out of Husker fans - we can't stop a mobile QB for the life of us.. remember Braxton Miller?  Will take a miracle for us to win.  Although I'll share with you that my 7 yr old nephew is convinced that we won this week because he kept saying Hail Mary's.

Bean I rate your chances as pretty good if the coach keeps him in the pocket like against Michigan State, Bama, and ND. Boy is he fast in the 40 his split time is faster than Bolt. Of course after that he would be watching him blow by. Last weekend 4 field goals no TD's couldn't get in from the red zone. So tell your nephew to keep saying the Hail Mary's.

Lord... if your coach doesn't let DR run loose he is an idiot!  Let him run and you win - watch the OSU game against us. LOL.  Even Hail Mary's can't prevent that disaster from happening.  So you and I know the keys to the game.  Good luck and hope the game is without injuries and the refs call it clean.  BTW they will be celebrating 50 yrs of sellouts at our stadium so there will be some extra festivities going on.  It should be awesome!

It should prove to be a good game! Nebraska is one of the few teams that if we lose to its not too crushing plus the TV doesn't get damaged. Losing to MSU or Ohio St it seems more personal and harder on the TV.
I'll watch the half time festivities if they show them here! I wanted to go to the game this year but my friend needs to stay close to home for his wife. So good luck to you on Saturday! Watch out for MSU the week after for injuries they seem to take a few extra liberties.

Same to you Kiwi!  You talking about how MSU fakes injuries?  I was at the game last year and totally saw it first hand.  We were just talking about that the other day.  So obvious.
