Yep I saw that the AD fired him and less than 48 hrs ago he told him he would be returning next year.  Ouch.

also lots of talk that Pinkel from Missouri is going to step down tomorrow... due to off field transgressions.   Monkey Devil!  Imagine that.

There are actually 13 coaches that have been fired resulting in openings so the list still isnt up to date but.. oh to be a head hunter filling these positions.  Merry Christmas early for them.

Wreck... spot on.  I laugh so hard whenever people bring up his name like they have a shot in hell.  And it does happen with every single team... proving that we all have at least one deranged fan.

Bean so where is your game for the conference and when? I'll be rooting for Neb! Good luck to ND they've earned that portion of the championship game. I still think Alabama is looking the best of the group.

The game is in Indy this Saturday... I believe 7 pm.  It's being broadcast by Fox (national not Sports).  Thanks Kiwi.  We lost our center (broken leg) and best def tackle (ACL) last Saturday.  Cripes.  The D line has me concerned as we are the walking wounded.  But the team is resilient so we'll see how badly they want it.  This is our 3rd conf champ game in 5 yrs under Bo and we haven't won yet.  Hope the bad mojo is done. lol.

Red congrats on going to the dance.  Who would you like your partner to be?

Wreck,

Cannot wait to watch the Baylor - OK St game today. The scoreboard may not be able to keep up with these offenses. What is the over/under on this game, 120?

This should be an offensive explosion with well over 1000 yards.

LOL, you are spot on. I cannot see Gruden coaching college but anything is possible. I think there are going to be too many pro teams available, ie the Dallas Cowboys for Gruden to leave his easy ESPN job and have to recruit. I just cannot see his coaching attitude working with college kids.

SEC Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia one of the best college football games I have seen. Not the best but may be in the Top 10.

I am glad to see that a Championship game was played to its hype. Bama ran for over 30 yards and still just barely beat GA. Hats off to Bama and Bulldog Nation, it was a hell of a game.

I agree!! Quite the nail biter but a showcase for the talent in the SEC.

Looks like UVA is cleaning house, 4 assistant coaches gone ? Starting QB gone?

Yes that game was a great one.  Followed by our good old fashioned ass whooping.  I can honestly say I've never been so embarrassed to be a Husker.  Some heat on the coaches after that one no doubt.. and they get to play the GA DAWGS in the bowl game.  I'm ready to start cheering on my nephews wrestling teams and get past this season.

Wow that was a close game! If he had dropped the ball, Georgia would have had one more shot at it.    Alabama - ND for it all.  Some interesting bowl games coming. Michigan has South Carolina in the Outback Bowl. Bean I feel for you! It doesn't get easier with GA. Maybe we should just have a TV failure for that game. So where is everyone going this season?

My team is going to Florida but I am going to Phoenix to visit my sis.  There will be heavy dose of alcohol at hand during our game in the event we need it.  LOL  People are thinking about betting their 401k's on the 8.5 pt line they are giving Georgia.

I think you got a shot against SC - they are beatable and you have a much improved team imho.  Go get 'em

Wreck, who did I see you guys were playing?  Can't recall.

Red, we know who you got.  Go get 'em.

Kiwi you should get a visor to wear while you watch the game with voodoo pins in it for Spurrier. That said, my son wears only visors and I've tried not to think about that association  Go have chicken for dinner, ok?

Son's team didn't get a bowl bid but they did improve to 4W/4L in their conference games by season end, so next year will be better we hope but then it was their seniors that stepped up in the end. We shall see.

I see Tubby has bolted for Cinncinati post Jones move to TN - the carousel begins. Who next for Texas A & M? Gruden?

We'll all be together for xmas, grateful for that but my daughter broke her hand prior to Tgiving then they noticed irregularities during that surgery with her bone density. So more tests followed out to concerns and she's now been diagnosed with a tumor on her pituitary gland. Gratefully chances are it's benign but she will undergo surgery after xmas to remove it, daunting to say the very least. So if you can spare a prayer for her I'm asking...........she's my sweet child and so does not deserve all she's going through. So hold your families close and enjoy this holiday season.
